I thouhgt CAM was Canal Addon Mod, but i must be thinking about something else...

The CAM is a part of the dependencies, i think.

@ImVhOzzi: You're saying the CAN-AM, the NAM Team named it like this to avoid confusion with the Colossus Addon Mod.

The buildings compatible with the CAM are called "CAMeLots" or "CAMpatible" buildings, you can find lots of them on SC4Devotion's LEX; which is the site where most of the CAM develpment was made and where the CAM is really popular.

The CAM is very thoroughly documented on the SC4Devotion site (the same place you go to get the download link) in the CAM forums.. that also it the support location for it.. rather than have other people retype what is already there, go read it yourself.

No, they don't. You only have to get into the LEX: https://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/Default.htm (register there first if you're not) and make a Power Search for "CAM Residentials" or "CAM Commercial Offices" etc on the "LEX Category" menu.

one more thing: the readme said something about the CAM not behaving well with existing regions because of stage 8 buildings. is this a major problem? do i need to start a new region or can i just start on unincorporated cities?

you can play in a preexisting city with any mods, but you may have to bulldoze some of the preexisting cities buildings to make room for the new content and speed up the process... also you should just edit your post so (good rule of thumb: if you were the last person to post something under a topic then just edit your last post so you dont have 2 or more post in a row)

but dont you need CAM to get stage 4 (and up) farms? the vanilla only goes up to stage 3 for I-r. correct me if im wrong.

I think different people get different things out of CAM. For me it was all about the additional buildings, not so much about the additional growth stages. There are a lot of really nice CAMeLots that you can't use without the mod.
