Episode V is legend. I don't think it really needs much more than that adding to it. However I was mightily impressed by Episode III, it was the definately the best out the recent three, and how I was saddened when Anakin slaughtered all the younglings.

But, there are several important plot points that I believe argue the case for power being the larger factor.

1) In the beginning, Anakin executes Darth Tyrannus rather than arresting him. Not the Jedi way, he says, but he liked it nonetheless.

2) And this is a biggie, why stay a Sith after Padme dies? He must enjoy the power.

The theme was actually through Episodes I, II, and III. Remember how badly he wanted to win the pod race, or his frustration with the Senate and the Jedi council in Episode II. Anakin always believed he could do it better than everyone else and he wanted the power to prove it.

As for my favorite, it has to be V. Best acted (although that's not saying much), best plot, and best special effects (when considering resources of the time).

I and II sucked and III sucked even more because it didn't live up to the hype.  Empire will always be the best.

I'm glad all of you voted.  Its coming out the way I thought  it would. Empire in the lead and no votes for Episode I and II(which suck anyways).  I still can't see how Episode III is better then any of the original three but I'm guessing alot of people who voted have only seen the new ones and that's why they voted for three.  You gotta remember Special Effects aren't everything.

I think theres a lot to  the fact that Episode 3 wraped everything up.
Its no supprize to me that the 2 darkest ones were the most popular.

Well, Dolfan348488, I find your lack of faith disturbing.

My favorite movie is definately RotJ.  Darth Vader is in his Prime in this movie, the end lightsabre battle is much more enthralling than the one in Ep V, but dont get me wrong, I love ESB.  And, about the PT, I enjoy them.  They served their purpose:  To develop the background story behind the OT.  Jar Jar isnt that bad..Darth Maul was a total bad ass, I didnt like Dooku too much, and Sidious was freaking awesome in EP III.  I tend to look at the movies as a whole, not individual.

My favorite is Revenge of the Sith (or Sinth as my mom calls it), and my second favorite is Return of the Jedi.

I voted for The Empire Strikes Back because that had the most Yoda scenes and I want to be a Jedi Knight when I grow up.

(I finally had someone give me a great response to that line.  My nephew looked at me and deadpanned But you have to be a padawan first.    Ya know, he has a point!   18.gif)

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

18.gif Indeed, not strong with the Force, this one is...

But Episode III for battle scenes, and Episodes 4-6 for the magic (there are some things CG effects can't cover 20.gif)

I voted for Episode 3, but I truly like Episode 6 because it is technically the end (There are really 9 books, but only 6 movies). Anyways, I picked three because of the special effects and the great storyline. Everyone should see it.

    Nooooooooooooooooo.......6.gif

One of the best piece of dialogue in Hollywood movies ever. One of the most moving [emotionally] scene ever in a movie.

    Episode 5 is the best.
