Upside Down Avatars, Huge Point Scores, Crazy Ranks

 In case everyone forgot(which seems somewhat likely), every late winter/early spring there is a avatar event of some sort in which we change our avatars on a specific date. While there usually is a poll on which event to have as well as another poll to choose the date, it might be wise to place a simple avatar day on a date that people will be messing around anyway. 

So in short, I would suggest we have upside down avatar day on April 1st, 2010!

Good idea! Last year, I left ST before reverting my avatar upright, so I had an upside down Wikipedia logo for most of 2009!

I am not going to do this avatar upside down. I'll do a simple one.

Well,either one achieves "upside down", even if the two do not necessarily produce identical results. Some images may work better with one as opposed to the other.

So, the "decision" (if you want to call it that) would be that both are equally acceptable, and which one to use is at the flipper's discretion - as the case always has been.

I would tend to think that upside down is referring to turning something around, i.e. a 180 degree rotation. If you put an object upside down, you don't vertically invert it. However, if you take it literally, either process puts the top side on the bottom.

For argument's sake, if you just cut the top off a picture and put it on the bottom, wouldn't it be upside down?

i believe under some definitions that would be correct, but then again someone going head over heels is considered upside down, yet your head is usually over your heels for the majority of your life... :confusion:
