I have looked at so many different posts on this forum for around 3 hours now not wanting to see like lw as being lazy but l stillcant find what l am lookin gor.l have tried downloading so many things also.

I downloads new building and and different road things etc which dont show up and the building that do show up are boxes with simcity.com on?

just drop all your downloads at the plugins folder. (stations and buildings)

the nam is instalation just install it

is there any version of nam that allows normal sims city 4 ? as l dotn hav rush hour or the other one.. lm sorry lm bein useless

You need to download the dependencies if the add-ons require them. the nam does not work for regular Sim City 4 (i dont think)

Dependencies include props, textures, and other important things that some of the add-ons require.

Also, it is important to place all your plug ins into separate folders. It is easy to locate them, as well, the game can find them easier too.

But check to see if the file requires dependencies.

Also, make sure you are unzipping them and installing them correctly.

Your problem will NOT be solved until you buy either Rush Hour or the Deluxe edition of the game. Almost all downloads, mods, and plugins won't work unless you have either of those software installed.

Well, when your on the stex it tells you if the download is compatible with vanilla or rush hour only.

Ahhh ok. Now l feel so thick :/ I think l was looking for a bigger probelm than it was. Ok l will buy that.. l guess my sim city 4 is old and l could be playing a better game with either of them too. Thanks again and sorry to waste your time! :/

There's no such thing as a "waste of time" on Simtropolis  

The easiest thing to do would be to buy  the Rush Hour expansion.  It's about $5 on Amazon.  You don't need Deluxe Edition if you buy Rush Hour.  This may fix the brown boxes as most STEX uploads require Rush Hour.

download the file, save, open the folder, click "extract files," then use the internet to open the lot (open the file, then click on the lot [ex:curve_585fbd20) make sure that it either says DAT file or SC4LOTfile on the side of the file.
