This is fantastic. It looks truly European, with the large plazas and trees. The seawalls and canals look great in the setting. I sense one of the best CJs of 2010....

Wow! Great start to your new CJ! I really like how you gave an introduction to the city at the begining (: I've been to berlin many times and you have been doing a great job representing the city. I also like how you have put in alot of effort and detail in your CJ as well.

Also I have high expectations for the rest of this CJ because of the success of your old CJ Hong Kong. Hope you can make this one even better! 4.gif

Great teaser - I'm looking forward to the full update. I love your choice of font for 'Berlin' on the picture - very art deco. Also, amazing lotting. It is this kind of attention to detail that makes your cj so special.

    Wunderbar!!!

    You must have spent hours and hours in the LE to make your city look so magnificent! And it really feels like Berlin!

    I've been there only twice though... Have to go there sometime soon 1.gif

    Impressive work! Never been to Berlin so I can't judge if this is a good representation. But the amount of little details in your lotting is amazing! It's really credible.

    ~ Visit to the center of Berlin ~

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    • Hotel Park Inn •
    68932301.jpg
    ~ This 4 star hotel offers modern accommodation, 3 restaurants,
    a casino and a luxury spa. It is located at the Alexanderplatz in central Berlin.
    The Park Inn, 37 stories high, is the tallest hotel in Berlin. Rooms
    offer excellent panoramic views. The restaurant serves Zillestube
    local, while Humboldt's serves international food. If you want a drink or a
    snack, you can go to the salon, the terrace or Bar 37, located on the top floor.
    The Park Inn is opposite the station and easily accessible from Alexanderplatz
    by bus, tram, metro and suburban train (S-Bahn) to anywhere in Berlin.
    The Park Inn is very close to Hackescher Markt, full of culture,
    nightlife, restaurants and fashion boutiques. The Museum Island is also close ~
    • Rotes Rathaus •
    79085339.jpg
    ~ The Rotes Rathaus Berlin City Hall is located in the Rathausstraße in
    Mitte district. It is the seat of the mayor and regent of the Provincial Government of Berlin.
    The name of this historic building dates from the facade made of red bricks ~
    • History •
    ~ The town hall was built between 1861 and 1869 in the Renaissance style of northern
    Italy by architect Hermann Friedrich Waesemann. The architecture of the tower was inspired
    in the model of the towers of the Cathedral of Laon in France. This building replaced several
    buildings from the Middle Ages, which occupies an entire block ~
    ~ The building was damaged in Allied bombing in World War II.
    By locating in the area of Berlin, occupied by the Soviets, met all the functions
    East Berlin's town hall after its reconstruction during the 1950s
    according to original plans, while the Rathaus Schöneberg, served as headquarters
    West Berlin Senate. After German reunification, the administration of Berlin
    moved to this building in 1991 ~
    24932968.jpg
    • Fernsehturm Berlin •
    39024720.jpg
    ~ The Fernsehturm is a television tower located in downtown Berlin, the capital of Germany.
    It is a well known landmark, close to Alexanderplatz. The tower was built
    in 1969 by the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) and its image was used from
    then by the government of the GDR as a symbol of East Berlin. From here you can
    easily see every district of central Berlin and remains a symbol of the city ~
    90946168.jpg
    ~ The Fernsehturm original height was 365 meters, but became 368 after the
    installing a new antenna in the 1990s. It is currently the fourth tallest building
    highest in Europe, second only to the Ostankino Tower in Moscow, and the seventeenth tower
    highest in the world. At the height of the tower is a large area in which to locate a
    viewpoint and a restaurant, the viewpoint is at an approximate height of 204 feet above the ground.
    The restaurant, which rotates 360 degrees every half hour, is located a few meters above the observatory.
    Within the main body of the tower are two elevators that take visitors to the area
    in 40 seconds ~
    • I hope you enjoy this little tour of Berlin.
    Thank you all for your comments: D •
