How to make Sandbox using ArtMoney

 First of all I should warn you, that I am from Russia and my english is not very well.

 

I don`t know if there is anybody who tried to cheat with Cities XL using ArtMoney, so exuse me if i repeat.

 

All you need is the programm calls ArtMoney. It`s absolutely free and has interface translated to different languages. You can download it here: http://www.artmoney.ru/e_download_se.htm

 

Work with ArtMoney is very simple. You run the game, then you Alt+Tab it and run the programm. 

Let`s star a new city.

OK, we have some cash at the beggining. 400K, 300K - it`s not the big deal. Let`s change it. Take the list of paper and write down how many cash you have. Pause the game. Then Alt+tab it and go to ArtMoney. Select the process called CitiesXL.

 

Then click "Search"

 

And type the number of cash. I have 322307, so i type it. Then you should change the Type to Fload (standart). And press OK.

 

It will take some time, so be patient =)

So. We have some strange lines in the left column. Don`t pay your attention on it, we will return to them soon.

Let`s return to the game. All we need now is to change our cash. Build something and then remember the number of cash you have. For example, I built a few zones for unquialified workers and now I have $319547. Alt+Tab again. Press filter and write down the number you just remembered and press OK. 

 

ArtMoney found three lines that responsible for our cash. Press on blue arrow to ad this lines to right colum. (ATTENTION: you can have more then three lines, so you should go back to game, change your cash by building something and filter again with new number) 

 

Now we will make a little magic =). Select the first line and change the number to...I don`t know... 999999999. Do it with all three lines. And than select all of them, right click -> Freeze.

 

Go back to the game and check this out =)

 

And no matter how much money you spend every month, it won`t change.

 

 

After I did this I was so happy to play sandbox, that it took some time to figure out that I can`t trade with Omnicorp. See:

 

 

So I was looking for some way to change it. And I found!

GO back to your game and open your budget window. We need these number.

 

Open ArtMoney, Press Search, type it and Press OK.

 

It will take some time and don`t panic if it will take a long time. 

Now we repeat everything we did before. We go back to the game, build something that will change our expenses, remember the number, go to ArtMoney, press filter, type it and press OK. You should repeat all these steps until you won`t have 7 lines in your left column. Let`s add them to the right column.

 

This is the number of our expenses. It is positive, but we know that in fact it`s negative. I don`t know how i figure it out but we must change these number to NEGATIVE. For example, -999999999. You can freeze it too.

 

Now go back to your game, go to trade window and check this out:

 

Now you can buy the whole world =). 

 

I don`t know why, but the number of your cash tokens is changing if you start trade. So if it will end you can change "-999999999" to "-99999999999999999999". I hope the game will not crash with such a big number.

 

And the last thing that I want to tell you. Theoretically you can save these process and return to it every time you playing Cities XL. I didn`t try it but I think it will work.

ben995 I think it won`t. Because you don`t change or patch any files, you just change some numbers durring the game.

Just make sure you don't use it if you play online too, as it would be deemed as cheating

But if you play solo and solo only, then it looks like a good solution until we set up our own sandbox mode directly in the game.

Yup. Just trying to mess around 'cos I can't be bothered building up a city, I just want to see what's possible performance-wise. Followed exactly to the letter.

I have Windows 7, 64-bit, and the Steam version of XL. I don't think the fact that it's a steam version will matter much, but has anyone else got it working on Windows 7 (Yeah, I've tried Admin mode, XP/Vista mode, redownloading/installing).

Just stumped. It's not a problem with ARTMoney, because Cheat Engine 5.5 doesn't work either.

Its just a memory hack, it should work.

I am not sure if XL has an anticheat but I suggest not to use that online.

I just wish Monte Cristo had shipped the game out with a sand box mode on solo play. Then there would be no reason for having these programs and it would work everytime.

it works fine for me the first time but whenever i leave the game and start it back up i start losing money same with the tokens it resets to the negative balance and ive tried the save feature but that doesnt work

you are pretty lucky that monte cristo will let you.

basically cities xl is two games in one due to it having online play and solo play.

and yes, I don`t know why, but this think doesnt work when you reload your game. I tried to find the soluthion but I`m not a hacker or somebody like this =)

For some reason my game crashes when i try to get money tokens, dont know if its because im messing with the wrong numbers or why anyone got any ideas? Maybe i need to call off my trades (even if im on pause?)
