Asphalt Highway Mod

Hi, I've noticed on many City Journals that there was this mod called the Asphalt Highway Mod. I looked through the forums and Modding Files but I couldn't find it. Does anyone know where I can get this mod?

Maybe. I'm not sure what the mod's name is as well. I heard Asphalt Highway Mod, Blacktop Highway Mod, etc.

It is part of the euro road mod, however, I believe people have just installed the motorway files and got rid of the roads to keep the current ones.

For the what? I am sure it should work for you if you mean NAM. I use both and they both work. If you meant something else sorry. I hope I helped.

Actully I did come accross the problem where the roads textures at the ramps were euro roads and not the normal roads .so far I haven't checked to see if they made a normal road compatible texture with the highway mod.it's a good mod Btw.

The creators of the NAM I believe have changed the textures on the overpasses to work with the asphalt highway mod.

The NAM does however, contain changes that involve the games default textures. This was done to address blending issues related to custom content in the NAM, because some of the original Maxis highway ramps contain graphical errors (i.e. mismatched textures on some ramps). In order to properly make sure one file loads after another & not before;

Firstly, make sure the folder is displayed with Arrange Icons by > Name in ascending order. From what I understand; the game reads files by name according to; Alpha ascending, then numerical ascending, then alphanumerical ascending. Other characters such as underscore & spaces in the file name can also affect this.

Make sure the files are in the exact same folder (& not a subfolder ~ relatively).

Make sure the name of the files themselves are named in such a way that displays them in an order that shows the NAM first (as an example), & other modds like the Asphalt highway mod after. So you may need to change the name of the NAM or the asphal mod. Considering the NAM should not have any of its file names changed though, you would need to change the file name of the asphalt mod. Putting a Z at the front of the file name should suffice, as an example.
