That was a very cold response hahaha. Still hurts a bit 3.gif

The island looks nice, i'm wondering if the Salahi's will be at any of these parties you are throwing on this island?

Larks2242:  It's wonderful, except the tourists really cramp my style

    Muck308:  Thanks!

TmiguelT:  Thank you.  It comes from micromanaging every minute detail

swat-medic:  Maybe you can get married there!  Wait, that one girl is your gf now, right?

Schulmanator:  It is your style, isn't it?  A little slice of Atkinos right here in Carthage 4.gif

jacqulina:  Thanks, Jacky.  With all the little things there it should be named Detail Island...

kingdiz_55:  It's only barely off the shore of downtown, similar to Ellis Island in NYC, so it's not in the middle of an ocean or anything.  Thanks for the comment!

Kryptowhite:  You know, it's funny.  I invited them to Thanksgiving dinner and they never showed up.  SO weird!

Well I...wasn't expecting so few replies this time.  I loved the Jillian Island update so much!  To try to appeal to the masses a little more, here are two mosaics of downtown.  It isn't even close to being finished, but here are a few glances at it anyway.  Enjoy!

Well, Jillian Island is spectacular... if I'd ever marry, this would be the place for it 3.gif Very lovely parks and architecture. And who wanted to go to Rome for a wedding these days? Also Downtown looks very promising. I like the small buildings in the middle of that huge skyline...

    I'm looking forward to more!

Okay Jill, I'm finally here to give you my support! Sorry I'm late! 15.gif I absolutely LOVE the island. Your attention to detail is GREAT! Even the placement of your trees is good. I always got so impatient trying to perfectly place the dang trees! lol. Your downtown has some really nice looking buldings too! 2.gif And I love the night shot...sooo pretty! Keep up the great work and promise to keep coming back! Catch ya later Big Jilly Style aka M.C Jill.

So I'm going to put up a newspaper to see if I can get this bad boy to a new page to update.  I have it all ready, but it's big and I want it on a new page.  Plus I put a date at the top of the page, and it's for today, and I don't want to change it, and...er...here's some replies

Muck308: Thanks, I'm trying to keep it as realistic as possible, as if this city could exist in the real world, and changing as little as possible.  In that sense, it's not going to be a super metropolis like NYC, but it is going to be between 10th-15th largest metro area in the US, so between 3.3 million and 4.3 million people.  It's wedged between Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Buffalo, but is bigger than them.

Schulmanator:  Thanks, I couldn't resist putting the night shot in there 3.gif

TmiguelT:  Thanks!  I choose the buildings carefully

De Ja Vu:  Good ol American brown and green...haha

Twenty20:  Thanks, I love them too

Benedict:  Hmmm, I'll have to fix that...haha...no, just beyond what you see is dirt and grime.  Gotta keep it realistic

Larks2242:  Thanks for visiting again, Larky.

chrissc94:  Thanks!  I've been working on downtown a lot, so hopefully everything else will be just as interesting

PhillyC:  Sorry, Philly, I realized how out of place those were, and replaced them...15.gif  apologies...

C-Wizzy:  Thanks, C-Wizzy!  It might seem lame, but I LOVE placing trees.  For the park, I saved them for last and had a BLAST placing them...seriously...

    Computerguy293687908:  Thanks, CGnumbers

Evillions:  Don't worry, Philly is still king of PA.  Wait, if you're from Philly, how can you even think about liking the Celtics?

lucky7:  Thanks, I worked hard on placing them exactly how I wanted them.

    Mayorm:  Thanks!

winchester1:  OMG, good to see you again too!

Shingure:  Haha, it does have Med. style architecture, but only because it's so lovely.  I'm sure they found a way to clean snow off of stucco...

GreekMan:  Hey, good to see you again!

Here with the newspaper is a preview of the next update, which will feature downtown and the area around the park.

This is the headquarters of the Carthage Star.  There are deck chairs on the top, which shows you how seriously they take the news...Very...especially the weather forecast.

Here is a screenshot from Carthagestar.com.  It's a pretty awesome website if I should say so myself.

The next update will come as soon as I reach a new page!  Ta ta for now!

noo... you didn't... aww. Oh well, I see that there still are some mid-rise buildings in that Downtown... so I'll get over it. You know, even Downtowns need space to breathe, otherwise it's just awful to live there. And nice news page too (what an expensive look... ehm, beautiful ring!), go Carthage Colts! 2nd best, right after the Steelers!

Nice website - I'd love to read some of these articles. 3.gif

Also - nice pics - especially of Jillian Island (it so should've been St. Jillian, that sounds expensive and rich after all)... I wouldn't mind staying there, that's for certain - with water views and whatnot.

    I can't wait to see more. 9.gif

Nice work Jill. I would love to be sitting on one of those deck chairs ( as long as the weather is nice and sunny). Nice dowtown pictures aswell, just cant wait to you start to fill in with some mid rise around it and begin your suburbs. Waiting for more.
