Done.  Clear chicken soup.  Very hot, take it slowly.  There is nothing like soda water to slow something like that down.

Mary, I think toast with weak tea would be better.  Too much malic acid in the apple juice and it might upset a delicate tummy at this point.  Maybe we could also offer you a little protein.  How about a nice poached egg on top of that toast?

Working on the frame for the Rotunda as SimRico calls it. I've not been happy with the prev attempts. I hope this one turns out better than the rest of them.

Ok, back for now.  Was taking care of some 'emergencies' both ingame and 'in' the game as well as real life  . whew!  My sc4 game (city) lost all tall bldgs!  i couldnt locate a mod that may have impaced it and couldnt reinstall any of the lots that i found as a downloadable.   I mean, every tall bldg in the region went invisibile and only the base shows .  You couldnt query them to get the popup but the residential counts were in the bottom dashboard.   I had to go thorugh and bulldoze each of the lost buildgs  and lose population on residentials and jobs on commecials.

 

I thought i was losing my aged-old city but fortunately after a few game years, other bldgs are finally growning in place of the corrupted ones.   I cant figure how and why the original buildgs correpted in the first place.

 

I lost a few 2story bldgs too. There s "The Toad's Hole" night club that i always loved in the game as far back as mid 2000s.  The downloadable shows up in the parks menu,  this too, only shows the base in the game.

 

Anyway, ive finally bulldozed and saved a copy of the city where new bldgs have grown in.

 

Ingame: of course the big storm  and real life... another storm.. lol

Steamed shredded wheat with almond milk and splenda (sucralose).  Hot orange pekoe tea with a little lemon.

 

Rico, did you check your graphics settings in the game panel.  Sometimes they get reset.

 

How large is this city on disk?  I have one other case of this and the member states his city is 42MB.  This smacks of too many HD lots and running out of memory on the GPU.  His solution was to go full screen.

 

Note: This game is not designed for HD and was made before HD textures could exist.  While they may be nice, I think they are part of the beginning of the end for this program.  Not only are they indulgent, but they are too damned big.

 

Considering the number of problems some members are having with Windows 8.1, I am beginning to think that legacy 32-bit support may be a thing of the past on the next iteration of Windows.  I didn't really expect this until the 128-bit machines became affordable.  At that point, perhaps dual boot for an older version of Windows (might be very difficult) or Linux may be necessary.

Can uou believe my last save yesterday after ive deleted the empty lots is at 52.8 MB.  I read the article in the link.  Looks like a combo of things can be happening.   it seems like the game is running fine but i sure want to do what i can to save my city.  its got some GOOD age on it.

I have not been to a doctors... I don't exactly have my full insurance yet. the plan doesn't take effect until June first

 

I was feeling ok till this afternoon but feeling not that well. we are at the library... seems the motion sickness has come back or its just this bug. If it doesnt clear up by my next day off I'll go see a doctor.

M³ just saw on the news that theres a nationswide recall on beef, anyone consuming this has symtoms youve described. Do you think you should go get tested to be sure this recalled product isnt the culprit? Mr. MOOSE, i only caught the tail end of the report, have you heard anything of detail?

I have not eaten any beef... we haven't had the money to buy any of it.

I ate some fish i cooked up and was real sick like 30 min later.

everything I eat now seems to hurt it now.

hello SimRico.. finding i am feeling a bit better.. as long as i stick to bread crackers poweraide 7up and apple juice and short car rides my tummy is better. my head ache on the other hand wish that will go away.

how are you. ill call my doctor monday make an apt. the er here won't see it as an emergency so they will just check my vitals and send me home. done that before.

we think its the flu or something like that.

mr moose do you have a bland rice dish i can try. no meat or dairy at this time.
