SimRico:  I guess that was more than just a cold.  I never ignore such things.  I had what looked like a cold a month ago.  I went to my usual megadoses of vitamin C, but the damned thing turning into bronchitis so I had to go see the doctor to get some bug juice.  More or less over it now, but with my asthma still kicking up occasionally.  Had your pneumonia shot lately?  They are good for three years.

I like that "M³" it makes typing her name easier and faster! Our company didnt observe Good Friday and will be.working Monday.morning. It turned out /o be a flu bug that hit me. immune sytstem downed and caused it to be nastier than i can remember. i do thank you guys for the well-wishing.

heh!  No, sir i didnt.  It turns out that i am one of those few that get sick when taking the shot.   I think i last caught the flue back in mid 1990's ,  have been fortunate inbetween where i dont take the annual shot for prevention.

Yup, Ive given it a try again back in mid 2005s and had a bad bout for a few weeks but if it has bottomless bowls of matzoh-ball soup as a benefit, sign meeee up!

Thanks to both of you I found a reason to go on with my art.

Pan cakes [sic]?  Sorry we don't serve goat droppings.

 

However, here is a stack of pancakes with a big pat of real butter, maple syrup and five strips of bacon.  Artists need to be fed.  Hot chocolate served as follows:

 

One cup half 'n' half heated to drinking temperature (187^o F)

Three teaspoons of Dutch process cocoa powder

Three teaspoons granulated sugar

Dusting of dry mustard as an emulsifier (you won't taste it)

 

Add the hot cream mixture to the dry ingredients and blend.

 

Enjoy.

Brunch with "Canadian" side-meat from the flattop, with toasted blueberry muffins slathered with Saskatoon berry preserves.  Cappuccino and almond biscotti.

Ahhhh how i missed the aroma and the clinking sound of silverware on finest of china!  Hey thanks guys,  i am home, got released last evening and feel 100% today!  Whew, i thought i could ride it out and almost had to go to my junk-box and pull out the ole "Simm E. Terry" policy.  what a ride!

Well, what can we get for you now, lad?  Something better than a saline drip.  How about a nice plate of mashed potatoes topped with my wife's Hungarian Goulash made with both kinds of vermouth, lots of onions, capsicum peppers, beef, paprika and some secret ingredients like caraway seeds?  There's a bottle of Spanish sparking wine in the cooler if you don't think you could handle real champers right now.

 

Saw my endocrinologist today.  I am joining the insulin club effective Monday (after training), and she gave me a some bug juice for the infections in my legs and ordered a colour echo cardiogram as well as an X-ray of my bad knee.  This lady really moves fast when things are dicey.

 

Something I didn't know until today.  Insulin in use these days comes from recombinant human DNA.  They no longer use other animals to produce it, so it is just a regular hormone like any other.

Mmmmm even virtually speaking that sounds delish! Guess what, Ive had English muffins and Canadian Bacóne for breakfast all three days. It was a nice stay or the staff made me forget my axhes, lol.

Mr. Moose, i hope all goes well with your last checkup as you try new insulins from humans! Yup i knew that for years it was derived from animals. Ive since left the pharmacy scene to have been up-to-date on human-derived insulins. Thats good news.

Had some bleed-work done, checkn to make sure all my innerds are functioning in harmony!
