Why do you say your airfield is an airforce base? is it really an airforce base? if so, how do you make it an airforce base?

    Yes, it IS an Air Force Base. The AFB is included in the Transportation Pack which you will be able to find on Gothia and the official site.
    It comes as a reward and doesn''t cost anything (well, some pollution I guess).

    Just a quick note and a teazer; I will be updating the website tomorrow evening. I''ve just finished deciding which screenshots to use, and I hope everyone who might want to have a look have decent connections...

    Here''s one of the new screenshots:

    <ahttp://www.tnfj.com/SC4/St.Thomas_MoulinRougeAvenue.jpg>

    This is the Moulin Rouge Avenue that ran alongside the French-American Park in St.Thomas (pop. 251.000)
    More (and a lot of DIFFERENT stuff) to come.

    Oh, I must include a whale picture:

    <ahttp://www.tnfj.com/SC4/GlaceBay_ThereSheBlows.jpg>

    What the heck, here''s another one (w/two whales):

    <ahttp://www.tnfj.com/SC4/Creatus_Plane_vs_Whales.jpg>

    Whales ROCK ! And they have tasty meat too <ahttp://www.tnfj.com/Images/Smilies/biggthumpup.gif>

    Hello navyseal2003,

    that IS the Korean Life Building, also known as the 63 Building. I probably downloaded it at http://w1.193.telia.com/~u19311232/home.html>Gothia, where it is available in the SC4:Landmarks section.

    MAMMOTH update has been done at the http://www.tnfj.com/sc4/>Rio de America website today. I've doubled the amount of screenshots available in the screenshot gallery (there are now 118 screens available in that part of the site), and added some content in addition to just the screens. There is now more of a website in addition to the collection of images. You can find stats, some background info regarding the region, a FAQ and some useful links.
    There is also a LIE on the site. In the FAQ section I'm saying that it took me a few hours to make the website. It took a lot more than that, because of all the f&"

    Your city has me speechless. You did an incredible job of creating large cities without the boring grids. Keep up the work and I look forward to more screenshots.

    In particular, I like ...
    1. The row houses off the beach
    2. The air show
    3. The use of cliffs to make steep roads and interesting homes w/ excessive basements.
    4. Gotham square and boulevard
    5. All the interesting signs you get on your buildings.
    6. The use of the rewards and landmarks within your city.

    That''s all I have to say.
    I can''t get within 20 miles of that kind of artistic talent in SC4. I''m a 6*6 grid kind of guy...

    Yeah, I'm a grid player as well, but chaning that style a bit for my next city.

    One question though, in the Big Ben Square shots it looks like the cars are driving on the left hand side of the road. I'm from the UK and would like to see my Sims drive on the 'right' side of the road, which is of course the left. So my question is, can I change this option of what side they drive on?

    I like grids. Usually I start out with a grid and then try to take things in stride instead of planning the whole map like a grid. That''s what I find to bring about the most realistic looking cities, IMHO.
    Thanks again for all the feedback. I''ve done some further updates to the site today, although they''ve been mostly cosmetic (layout, links etc.).

    As for your question Rouge, if I knew the answer my sims would be driving on the right hand side, which is of course the "right" side...LOL!
    I have the European version of the game, which offers a variety of languages. I chose english (=UK english), and that is why my cars drive on the left hand side. The only option for changing that is probably changing the language, although I have not tried so it may just be speculation on my part. I assume you ordered the game from the States or something like that ?

    Aaaah ! Transport Tycoon Deluxe...My favorite sim game of all time. Still have it and some massive saves on the HD 10.gif

    I actually deleted all the language folders except English and Norwegian when I got the game, but I think there was at least 10 or so languages to choose from (talking about SC4 again...).

    I''ve been working on two more maps (both small) today, West Sound and Valiant Bay. West Sound is up to 2.000 residents while Valiant Bay has 6.500.
    Here is a screenshot from Valiant Bay:

    A bear meets the new civilization in Valiant Bay

    Not the best screenshot ever, but anyway...

    The region is now at approximately 1.187.500. Basically I''m now adding communities along the freeways in the southern part of the region. The freeway will run from the major cities in the southeastern part of the region over to the southwestern part and up to Gotham in the middle of the region.
    More to come later...

    Maybe if you weren't a spammer and were paying a little more attention to the thread, you would have noticed that he links to a Web site for his city. Go there and he has region pics and faraway shots.

    The transportation pack, and all the other landmarks from before seprember of '03 are included with Rush Hour.

    All the transportation pack was is the Air Force Base.

    That said, try not to bump a 2
