Ramps off of avenues?

I could've sworn I've might've seen this in a city journal somewhere, but is is possible to create a ramp of sorts off an avenue/expressway to another avenue/expressway without causing those crosswalk markers to show up?  I've tried experimenting with overpasses and the like an couldn't get it to work.  Any suggestions?  Or is it not possible as of right now?  TIA!

The NAM only applies to Sim City 4 if I'm not mistaken and doesn't apply to Cities XL (unless something's changed). As to the bridge thing, I had tried that to no avail, so I'm wondering if there's a trick to using the bridge technique to make it work?

Try using One way roads instead of avenues, just put two of them right next to each other going in the opposite direction then use smaller one way roads as off ramps.

To not get the cross walks you have to use bridges, not only for the ramps leading away but for the road its self if you want absolutely no crosswalks

I was on Safari when i posted earleir and the site seemed to be glitchy, so i didnt see that i was in the Cities XL board (apprently the top bars werent loading, so it could have also been the fact that i was on a college connection)

Don't feel bad Xylox, I ran into the same issue with Safari the other day when I accidentally 12x posted the same message (Safari would sit there and look at me and I had no idea that it had actually posted) and got told "repent and sin no more". I'll go ahead and try to give your suggestions a go and see what happens. Thanks all for the pointers. Will let you know what happens. Thanks

Livin in Sim:   LOL.... yes yes I know :-)

Back to the topic at hand, I was able to get the look right where it looks more like a ramp, but the downside was that traffic seemingly still stopped at the ramp.  Ah well.   Hopefully by content pack 3 they will get some more flexible ramp behavior in.    Though I gotta say, I'm for the most part happy with the flexible you are given with the roads in general as you can do some pretty artistic things with it.  Bridges that rise at a steep grade before meeting the top of a hill looks rather imposing from the side or below.

I've also found it useful to use the bridge tool to smooth out the otherwise sharp-edged look of a road that goes down a mountain...put both road ends down, then connect a bridge between at a point where it creates a smooth road. then delete that section and replace it with a road... The bridge tool will smooth the whole roadbed slope... I've begun using it extensively.

As for traffic stopping, you can't get away from that, as the game still considers it an intersection of sorts and not a true ramp. You CAN, however, semi-fool it by using a highway interchange and an interlink to change it from a freeway back to an expressway...but as interchanges are still bugged to create a bottleneck not worth the expense, you'd have to balance that with the desire for the effect of no signal.

Source? As far as I can remember, I've never heard of anything about more flexible ramps in the Content pack 3! It it's true this would be a great news!
