My elites environment satisfaction is very low any tips?

My elites environment satisfaction is only at 41%(over all elites satisfaction is 56%) in a city without any industry or manufacture. Why is that happened what I need to do?

  • City population 650.000
  • Elites are placed in an area without any prolusion or traffic noise.
  • Many parks surround my elites.
  • I have only same power plants and waste utilities in the corner on the map far away from my city.

One more question:

My silo gets constantly bankrupt for no reason but the farms are ok. Any tips where to place them?

Elites hate my cities, never figured that out...but silos I've enjoyed success with. For the most part, build them within your farming areas. But the most critical thing is workers. Whenever they go bankrupt, you're suffering from (probably) worker loss. I've noticed that the silos are low on the priority list for workers taking jobs, so they're usually the last to be filled up whenever you have job availability. Basically, always have unemployed qualified and unqualified workers so they don't go under

I try to maintain a 5% unemployed to qualified and unqualified workers but it didn’t make any difference to my silos still getting bankrupt15.gif. Forgot to say that the silos indicators are all green except the profit that is orange and because of that are constantly getting bankrupt.

I fixed that problem with my silos by placing a small avenue as close as possible to increase freight...never had that problem since.

Everyone says Elites are never happy. As soon as my city enabled Elites, I gave them their own

    1) School

    2) Police station

    3) Health Clinic

    4) Retail

    5) Fire Station

    6) Leisure

I haven't had a single complaint from them yet.

Electric and waste utilities cause pollution on the entire map, so doesnt matter if theyre on the corner of your map, far away.

I suddenly see why you might have trouble keeping a steady income while browsing your city... That is at least -30000 income right there - And at the same time totally unnecesary...

Isnt true. I have a city where i placed enough services to keep my citizens happy at a taxrate of 30%. That gave me an income of 1,3m a tick an a city with 1,5m citizens. So investing in it can definitely pay back.

    This.

As for silos... freight is the key. Make sure you have  decent freight traffic passing the silos.

Same for business hotels... location near offices is a myth. The key to profitable hotels is ensuring that they have high freight/passenger traffic flowing past them (see economy indicators and select freight and passengers).

Industry and manufacture affect the environment the same way like the Electric and waste utilities(the entire map)?

I mean it is ok to have Industry/manufacture on the corner of the map without affecting the entire map?

Still I haven’t understood some things.

    A) Heavy pollution limited to a certain radius around the building

    B) light pollution (but stackable) citywide

Electric and waste utilities affect the environment with A) and B)

Industry/manufacture affect the environment with A) but NOT B) is that correct?

i think industry/manufacturing affect both yes, but you need quite some of it till people start complaining.

Ahhh you're pulling in other unrelated topics I've discussed elsewhere on the forum, and you don't know what you're speaking of, as you have no knowledge of my cities books.  Lets try to keep on topic.  Keeping elites happy.
