pfb is evil by nature...

And I don't think human is evil by nature, probably it's the place where the human lives that makes him being evil...

I was robbed. My iPhone was the most notable. This iPhone was actually a replacement for a previous iPhone that I lost. Now I bought a cheap phone.

Studies have shown that babies show all the qualities of evil and none of the qualities of kindness for their first year of life. Similar studies show that isolated and uneducated people are more evil than educated and well conected people.

There are still many educated and well conected evil people. Society forces people to go against their nature and at least attempt to work with the system (making positive contributions to society).

Did you know that kindergarteners are racist and nepetistic even when their parents are not?

Did you know that all babies are extremely racist and nepetistic (and selfish, greedy, and dishonest)?

EDIT: Sorry but do you want links? CNN did one study on kindergarteners and published their results.

Also, I have lost all faith in humanity and most faith total.

But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

Seattle is notorious for its quickly changing and very wet weather.

Chicago weather is pretty notorious for being...everywhere. Whenever it wants. It wouldn't surprise me if it snowed tomorrow, followed by 90F the next day.

Yea, we get some wind. But name, The Windy City, comes from all the lawyers and such. At least, that's what we say. 3.gif

Oh hey, post wise, I'm currently the War of 1812. Ahh, the reason for the war ended before the war started and its biggest battle took place after it ended. And yet, it's looked at as the final step of the US becoming its own country.

Because it was the first war we had to face after independence. So, yeah, surviving that does sort of "conform" a country.

I firmly hold that it was more like the bad sequel to the revolution that was nowhere near as good and that people like to forget about. 3.gif

Wasn't that the one with Canada burning Washington after the US burnt Toronto?

Also possibly one of the few wars where both sides thought they won... current majority view is that it was a stalemate, although some think the British Empire won and others hold that both sides actually did win - no-one seems to think the US won and the British Empire lost. Yeah... no-wonder it's thought of as the bad sequel. 3.gif

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

Well, the brits weren't exactly devastated or anything, but they did eventually adopt many US military customs. Know your enemy, dog.... or in this case... know your enemy, Nigel. 3.gif

Well, the average war has decreased in severity since World War 2. And we haven't recently had anything as long as the Hundred Years War, so we're making progress at least.

Three reasons why:

1) Globalization. Now, when you attack another country, you also attack yourself because you can no longer benefit from trade with that country, and it affects the whole world's economy.

2) Nukes. Love 'em or hate 'em, nobody is starting an all-out war with anyone that has them.

3) Guerilla Warfare and Modern Weaponry. It's been discovered to be a far more effective tactic to use against a military force than actually trying to fight them on a battlefield. Why? Well, now we're using all these expensive fancy weapons and equipment that, despite their cost and technological superiority, can still be destroyed by cheap improvized devices. So, the goal is no longer to defeat us by killing us, but rather to defeat us by bankrupting us.

Good reasons, duke.

But a lot of theese "guerilla wars" exist because of the stupid behavior of some western nations in the last 100 years.

Well, at least Europe isn't as much of a powder-keg as it was a century ago - having a set of countries that controlled a good portion of the earth between them at each others' throats is not conducive to the ongoing well-being of the world. Sure, it still has its faults, but nothing on the scale of impending world war.

While guerrilla wars, like all wars, are terrible things, the risk to civilians is reduced - the major military campaigns that would lead to massive civilian casualties are impossible without the power of a nation's armed forces.

The sad reality of colonization - colonizing a region is incredibly dangerous, leaving it equally so. I'm rather glad I live in one of the nations that got its independence peacefully.

Fortune cookies are getting weird:

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

Sadly war is inevitable, they will never be peace i don't understand how anyone thinks there could in a world where everyone hates each other. Even if one war ends another starts, its what makes the world go round.
