    229: What are you hiding?

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

    230. How do you know he's actually hiding something? Maybe he's just saying that to make you think he's hiding something. Unless he's referencing some kind of hidden message. But what if that's also not real? Maybe now I'm just trying to confuse you? 11.gif

    233. Well, how do I know you're real, chptrk? I know I'm real through cogito, ergo sum, but I don't know about you. 3.gif

    236. Larks, lol, yeah, it was worth a try 3.gif

tut tut tut, duke, you have the name of the answer in the name of the file.

Any way, mayan numbers (in this case) work like this: Each dot is normally worth one, and each bar is normally worth 5. In this case, the top row is a multiple of 20, the bottom row is normal (add another row onto the top of that and you would times it by 400, or you multiply every row above the bottom row by another 20, so the fifth row above the bottom, assuming the bottom row is called zero,  (assuming that row had a dot and a line, or 6 normally) would be 6x20x20x20x20x20, or 6x3,200,000, which equals 19,200,000.) So, a dot on dukes top row would be worth 20, a bar is 100. In dukes case we have a dot and two bars. the dot equals 20, and the two bars equal 200. So far we have 220. On the bottom row, they are all normal, or multiples of one, so we have 4 dots and 2 bars. 4 dots equals 4, and 2 bars equals 10, bottom row equals 14. These two rows get added together, therefore;  220 + 14 = 234, or the number of dukes post. 9.gif
