TCU  up 35-7 with lots of time before the half. That defence wont let up either.

Looks like the line setters were right to give Utah and 21 points.

    USC loses again 55-21

#'s 9, 10,14 , 15 all lose today and  Cincinatti could lose some ground squeeking out a close win

TCU rolls big 55-28 and folks it was never even that close.

This is a big win for there claim toa BCS game this season,

looking like Flordia or Alabama will play Texas for the  Championship and TCU playing the loser of Florida & Alabama since Cincinnati didnt win as convincingly as TCU did. Even with Boisy winning big i dont see them going past TCU playing  a  bad Idaho team.

Auburn didnt do TCU a favor this weekend. would have needed Auburn to beat Bama for some things to happen for TCU. Mabey Nebraska will beat Texas.

those BCS guys were worried there for a minute. They Almost had to justify puting Texas in the championship game with a loss.

    now no BCS chaos 38.gif

Nebraska would have beat Texas if that kick off didnt go out of bounds.

I was hoping that TCU could get into the national championship game. They certainly deserve it more than Alabama or Texas, seeing as those teams can just go out every year, take 5-10 blue chippers/five star prospects, and have a garunteed good season. teams like TCU need to take 2/3 star prospects and turn them into 5 star players. Thats why i love watching BC, because they are perhaps the worst recruiting BCS school in the country, but they always get the right players for their system, and they turn 2 star players into All-ACC players [see: Ryan, Matt, or Keuchly, Luke].

So They relegated TCU and Boise to play each other instead of leting them  slaughter  2 BCS conference schools, nice.
TCU, Boise and Cincinnati should all be playing BCS Schools in BSC games.

    BCS Game scheduel

BCS title game: Alabama vs. Texas
Rose Bowl: Oregon vs. Ohio State
Fiesta Bowl: Boise State vs. TCU
Rose Bowl: Oregon vs. Ohio State
    Sugar Bowl: Cincinnati vs. Florida
Orange Bowl: Iowa vs. Georgia Tech

Easy Bakes, having a little difficulty discerning between the BSC and the BCS? haha. Hint, ones a bat team 3.gif

I agree, i wish TCU was playing like Ohio State so they could embarass the Big Ten. It should be TCU vs. Texas, Cincinnati versus Boise, winners face eachother, the winners of those games face Alabama in the national championship. its only fair for 5 undefeateds. Cinci Florida should be a good game. Georgia Tech will run all over Iowa, Oregon will do the same to OSU. Boise TCU should be exciting,i'd take Boise for experience though, although i like TCU better. And the title game is a great matchup, i hope Texas takes it though.

Urban Meyer will resign as Florida's head football coach after the Jan. 1 Sugar Bowl.

Hope they dont go sfter Gary Patterson, the TCU coach, He just got Coach of the Year and will probabaly be the 1st name on the list.

Gratz to SMU for thier 1st bowl win since Eric Dickerson played for them.

So far the Small schools are doing well against the big boys in the Bowls

BYU  destroys  Oregon St 44-20 in Las Vegas Bowl

Utah beats Cal 37-27 in the poinsettia bowl.

Was just Disappointed in Boston College losing to USC 24-13

Mike Leach was fired today from head coach of Texas Tech.

    sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/stewart_mandel/12/30/leach-fired/index.html

I am personally very disapointed with this.  Mike Leach is an excellent coach, and he has done an exceptional job bringing the university national recognition without any of the typical recruiting scandals that normally plague powerhouse football programs.  This whole conflict seems overblown, but it is clear that Leach's  time at Tech is over.

I was just about to post that. 38.gif

A shame he gets fired over some Prima dona player who dosent want to practice hard or take his laps if the coaches think he is goldbricking.

Even if he is the son of Craig James of Pony Express fame. I  wonder if there are some shenanagins going on in Tech Land, no one but Craig James knows how much he was paid to play for SMU.

Although i dont think craig james stupid enough to be paying player under the table even his own son.I dont think he is hurting for money or cant finance his sons time at Tech. There may be  more to this story then this fireing. We shall see

The will be very expensive for Tech, so they save 800,000 they still have to pay off his remaining contract of several million dollars.

will be hard to find another coach that can take a team to 9 consecutive bowls.

The SEC is doing horrible in these bowl games. LSU lost to Penn state barely. South Carolina got blown out. Auburn barely one gainst some big ten team. Tennessee lost to Virginia Tech and Kentucky lost to Clemson. At least the SEC is beating the Big 12 teams. Go Alabama!!! Bring the chmpionship again for the SEC.

Go Braves! Go Falcons! Go Hawks! Go Dawgs! Go Panthers! Roll Tide! SEC!SEC!SEC!

being that that was just someone writing to a mailbag thing, i say rumor. i've heard syracuse, pitt, rutgers, mephis, and mizzou also mentioned as possible 12th teams to join the big ten. i believe there was also a thing from the president of the big ten saying they're looking into a 12th team but its not going to happen in the next 1-2 years. so i wouldn't read too much into this.

Texas makes no sense to go to the big 10.you would just kill off all the rivalrys  down here

^^ those other teams make much more sense regionaly.

Still  the Big 10's best bet would be to do what ever it takes to get Notre Dame to join them. Nationaly known, the team is on an upswing with already established rivals in Michigan and Michigan State.
