Villarule: in some parts, such as the monorail that comes from my new residential district which goes underneath my mound is at almost usage-4000 sims.

Cobb: Ha planning, yeah right. i take no real planing, when i first started this city i didnt know what i was going to do, so i just did what came naturally, done what i felt like which always turns out excellent funnily enough, as you can see from any of my cities. I do have some planning, but not alot. And for the time, it really depends on wether i can or want to.

Now for a small update, this update will just be showing two new expansions onto the growing CBD, to compensate for the growing demand for jobs from the new and ever more growing residential sector, as seen in these following pics.

    Expansion 1
    /idealbb/files/Rick34.jpg

    Expansion 2
    /idealbb/files/Rick

This is companied by an expansion of the residential area. Again it is a combination of both high and medium density res.

    Expansion 3
    /idealbb/files/Rick35.jpg

as i said, its a small update. Thats all for today, but stay tuned, more things to come, great things. 19.gif.

Its your lucky day to day simtropians as i have the time and patience to do another update for u lucky lucky people. K_M_H, nice to see you r keeping up with my CJ, back to the update, this update is going to be focussing on the little bit of industry that Rickennington has to offer. just to remind you here is 2 pics of what it looked like.

    Rick3.jpgRick4.jpg

This size of industry for the size of Rickennington is just unaceptable, so plans have been announced to day that a dramatic relandscaping of the area was in order to expand the tiny industrial district, the plans stated that the area that was now the industrial district was to be expanded 3 times its size. Soon the bulldozers came in and begun to clear the trees away and take off the top of the hill to help fill up the reclaimed land from the harbour.

    Rick.jpg

    Rick1.jpg

thats all for this update, tune in next time (tomorrow) to find out if the expansion of the Rickennington Industrial district turns out higher than peoples expectations. seeyas l8er.

I can see beautiful planning there, everything from the trees surrounding the rail lines, the neighborhoods clearly separated by the highways, not to mention the tunnels and forests.

Amazing!!! Very cool city. I love the region, and the city itself. I like how you used snow capped mountains in the region. I also like the buildings and bridges and outline of the city. You are even using many bat buildings. I also love the night lights. I have no idea how you keep the city so pollution free. If I was a sim I would defenitely live in this city. I hope to see more updates.1.gif

and the construction of an extension to the mass transits highway system linking this new residential district to the rest of the network, although the aimed main transport option will be boat.

Hey everyone, im back with another update for you, but first thing first, comments, thnx for all those who have been so nice to comment on my cj.

Jolan: well Jolan, thnx for commenting, and its ur first one, well 2 on simtropolis, im so pleased that u chose my cj to comment on first, as for you question, that lot was made by a person named pegasus, he is now not with us, along with all his creations off of the lex etc, so it is no longer available to download, that is until he has completed his own website with his own exchange, so u will need to wait a while before u can get it.

Masher: hey masher, ur first comment on my CJ, better late than never, lol 18.gif.
im glad that you like my cat in a nice but little humerous way, as for his name, its a he, is called, lol, wait for it.............................Baby.17.gif.
I'm glad that you like my monorail system, it took longer than the rest i'd say, but luckily for you i have a seperate addon onto this system, if that makes any sense to you at all, strangely wired isnt it, or was it wierdly strange, nevermind. and as for the monorail stations, they are the only style that i can find (and like) with all the trimmings, bus station/subway station/monorail station (of course).Sims, confused, of course they are, they dont even know what a highway is as they dont seem to notice it is quicker, so why would they know what stations which.

Now for the update, this update will be focusing on the new extension of the split downtown of Rickenningtons large residential district, and Maxwell-Multinationals commercial sector, which is adding to the residential. in the last update i began to show you the reclamation of land from the sea, using the left overs of cutting off the top of the hill to make way for the expansion of the industrial district. This first pic for today will show you how much land wll be reclaimed from the sea.

    Land recliamed from the sea

    Rick.jpg

As you can see, this will be similar to the commercial centre of Rickennington's shore line, this is because, the main transport mode is by boat, so lots of docks will be needed to quel the amount of people that will be using them, if they can figure out that this is the best mode of transport available to them, apart from the new monorail line. Next is what the shore line of this new area will look like.

Shore line of new residential area

    Rick1.jpg

Quite nice, now its time for the monorail line, these next two pics will show what i will be doing and what it looks like. and u can get a sneak peak to my almost finnished commercial centre. (hehe) looks kool

Before and method of new monorail line

    Rick2.jpg

    After: finnished product

    Rick3.jpg

This great new edition to my monorail network (which will not be directly connected) will be one of the main and shortest ways to commute to the comercial centre of Rickennington, the other two modes of transport are by highway(if the sims find out that it is one of the quickest routes, and the main transportation mode will be ferry, or boat taxi.

As i was looking at my first picture that i posted, i thought that i might try something different with the highway, so i came up with an idea that the highway would kinda be like a ring road and go around the outside of the agreed site for the residential area, and with the completed monorail line looks something like this.

Completed Transportation Network of New Residential Area (partly)

    Rick4.jpg

Looks pretty nice if i dont say so myself, it really does make it look that much different putting the highway round the outside, and what i think looks even better is the circled monorail line that connects back up to itself. If you are wondering what happening to the other half of this new reclaimed land, i have something else planned for it, and the only information that i am going to give you is that it will be involving Maxwell-Multinational.

Thats all for this update, the next update will include what i have instore for that other half, thank you.

Comments are welcome and will be gratefull, if you have any questions about what i have done, or you have any queries of things you dont understand etc, dont hesitate to ask via comment, anywuestions will be dealt with the utmost important.

i am now finnished with this update feel free to now comment etc.

wow, lots of comments already, but lol at jolan for his double post, dont worry jolan i have done it a few times, all i did was edit the last one and make it another proper comment, and i will pm u later on that thing u wanted about that thingy to do with you thing, ok.

ALAKAZAM thnx , that was just a sneak peak of the finnished commercial centre skyline, i am just awaiting more skyscrapers made by those wonderfull and brilliant BAT makers to be uploaded onto the BEX.

EXGAMER07 first, thnx for ur comment on my CJ, i am gratefull, and for you question that you have asked moi, i am happy to awnser it. the reason for the high demand caps at the beginning of Rickennington was because of the influence of Maxwell-Multinational, this city is basically my capital and is, i'd say almost 75% skyscrapers, somewhere around that, and its kinda like a wave effect, over a certain distance from its borders it can influence the demand caps, therefore my high demand caps as seen in the region view Rickennington is Right next to it.

Once again, thnx for all you comments, and i hope u will keep on checking my CJ almost everyday, as now i have basically finnished my exams and got 12 weeks holiday, wahey, but sadly im working on some days, like saturday, monday, wednesday and friday. i might not be able to then.

Now i am going to finnish my latest update above, as it is only aboot half done.

    UPDATE PART 1!

Hello and welcome to another update in my evergrowing region of River Basin. In this update i will be showing you what i have planned and already completed for the other half of the reclaimed land for my new Residential district. here is what i plan to do with the half. I will have to make a key for this.

RED: Anything in these areas will be demolished.
GREEN: These will be where the new stretch of highways will be placed.
BROWN: These areas will be lowered to its almost maximum depth before hitting water.
YELLOW: This will be where the new under ground highway will be built.

    Plans for extending transportation

    Rick.jpg

Plans for further continuation of extending transportation

    YELLOW=highway tunnel
    DBLUE=new raised rail lines
    RED X=el train/subway

    Rick5.jpg

This pic is just to show that th tunnel with be built succesfully, in order for me to have actually built the tunnel i had to build the ground level highway for the tunnel.

    Rick1.jpg

Now that all this had been planned out soon the construction was complete and it now looks like this.

Finnished Transportation for New Residential Sector

    Rick7.jpg

This update is going to be the first part of two, the second update will follow shortly, be patient.

Comments are welcome and will be gratefull, if you have anywuestions or queries about anything that i have shown, dont hesitate to ask via comment, and i will reply to them asasp. Thank you. This has been a smirkazor CJ update.

    UPDATE PART 2!

This is the second part of my two part update series, in this part we will be focusing on Mawell-Multinational. This is a two part update because it is all to do with Rickennington's newest addition to its residential sector on the border, just outside Maxwell. this new residential addon will need jobs for its sims to get to work, not only does it have the commercial centre of Rickennington, but it will also have a connection to Maxwell's newest addition to one of its commercial districts, and all this is made possible from reclaimed land from the sea.

Before construction began on building the new commercial expansion.
    max4.jpg

It took about 2 years later and the land needed had been reclaimed from the sea, and in order to have the highway needed to move the sims between the two cities part of the original commercial district had to be demolished to make way to larger and better things. Anything in the red box was destroyed.

    Max1.jpg

But before this could happen, the southbound highway needed to be constructed in order to pinpoint where the northbound highway needed to be built.

    Max2.jpg

The shoreline will be very similar to that of Rickennington. it wasnt long before the foundations for the new commercial district expansion were in place with all the transportation options, it also includes a well pretected bay with large army ships.

    Max3.jpg

Once the zones were set, construction soon began.

    Max4.jpg

Here is a close up of Mawell's naval base. Pretty cool huh.

    Max5.jpg

Here are two sets of pics, of the completed expansion in all its glory, i present to you............Maxwell-Multinationals southern commercial district expansion on reclaimed land from the sea.

Absolutely stunning isnt it, so beautiful at night dont you think, man i would love to live in this city, wouldnt you? Here is a close up view.

    Max2.jpg

Thats all for this update for today, i hope you enjoy it, i sure have, building this just makes me think how much can come out of absolutely nothing! I would like to thank all the BAT designers for all their hard work that has been put into bringing us these totally amazing buildings, they are awsome, and hope that you continue to make them for months to come. this has been a smirkazor CJ update.

comments are welcome and will be gratefull, any questions or queries that you might have aboot anything that i have show and done throughout my CJ dont hesitate to ask via comments, goodnight.

Great job Smirkazor. I love how organized your city planning and building is.
I love that naval base. It looks just like the bases at Pearl Harbor. Is that naval base still at the stex? If so what is it called? I think its time to give your city a unique landmark, you know like Paris has the Eiffel tower. You should give your city a big Landmark.1.gif
