The coordinates only pinpoint the center of the area you want.  What I need is the coordinates for the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western edges of the area you want.  I'll take the coordinates below and see where it points me in Google Earth and see what I can get from there.

    Longitude: 30° 6' 55"

    Latitude: 51° 23' 11"

The five remaining Mexico have been uploaded as well as the requested Walled Lake Michigan and Muscle Shoals Alabama maps. Next on the list of requests are the remaining Channel Islands maps and Prypiat Ukraine.

    Hey Blade,

I see you've been busy. Great work! Any chance of you doing the update to the Vancouver map? I requested it back here. I would be very thankful if you did.

JWUT - Guess what?  Your request for the remaining Channel Islands are almost finished.  Here's a sneak peak...

Not sure which island this one is, so I just named it Channel Island...

    12km x 10km

    channelislandtf01.jpg

    Anacapa Island

    12km x 8km

    anacapatf01.jpg

    San Clemente Island

    24km x 26km

    sanclementeislandtf01.jpg

And finally tiny Santa Barbara Island

    4km x 4km

    santabarbaraislandtf01.jpg

Allistillwell & Joshua... Still working on gathering the data for your request.  One of the cordinates you gave me for the north, south, east and west wouldn't work.  The site kept telling one of them wasn't a number.  So, what I'm going to do is take that image you linked me to and look for it in Google Earth and go from there.  Might take me a little while longer to get this map done, but it will get done.

Blade, those look absolutely awesome! Your "unnamed" island is San Nicolas Island, and I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on your map of San Clemente! It's gonna be perfect for the capital city of my CJ. Woohoo!

Thanks for the tip.  I'll make sure to rename the files to reflect that.  Should have them packaged up in a 4-Pak and uploaded by the end of the week.2.gif

Out od curiosity, do you live in that area Of Califonia?  I grew up in Santa Barbara in the 60's-70's and have been to Santa Cruz Island many, many times in the 60's when hunting was still allowed on the island.  Have also done a lot of fishing of the coasts of the islands.  Also used to do a lot of surfing in Isla Vista when I lived in Goleta for a while.

I currently live too far inland, in Fontana, but I grew up through the 90's in Ventura County. I lived in Moorpark, went to school in Somis, went to church in T.O., shopped in Simi and Oxnard...

Anacapa is the only one of the Channel Islands I've visited (8th grade field trip), but I'm hoping to visit Santa Cruz and/or Catalina sometime in the next few months, if I can scrounge up the cash. I drove through Santa Barbara on the way back from a work-related trip about a year ago, just after sunset on a Saturday, and I couldn't believe how awesome State Street is. I've been itching to go back, but I just can't seem to get away.

I'm just generally fascinated with the islands, especially San Clemente, because it has so much potential beyond being a Naval facility. I imagine it could look a lot like the Fillmore-Santa Paula area (small cities and a lot of fruit trees), but with an ocean instead of mountains surrounding it. To me, that would be paradise.

I hear State Street has changed quite a bit since I was last in Cali waaaay back in '84 [i left in March that year and haven't been back since].  I wonder Picadilly Square is still there or not.  I grew up on the Mesa about a uarter mile of Cliff Drive, attended Monroe Elementry, La Cumbre Jr. High and Santa Barbara High.  Used to rock climb every chance I got up at Gilbralter's Rock near La Cumbre Peak.

Also, the old Arlington Theater [or Fox Theater] is where I saw Star Wars in July of '77 for the first time and spent every day there afterwards going back again and again to see the film.  Probably saw it about 100 times that summer.  I also went there to attend the first concert I snagged tickets for the then new band Asia in May of '82.

If you're interested, I have a LEX Exclusive map of Santa Barbara, my first accurately scaled map from a few years ago.

Although it's obviously not the same as seeing it for yourself, you can probably see what it all looks like now with Google Maps and Street View... I'm sure that quite a few things have indeed changed there in the last 27 years! Thinking about how much little Moorpark has changed in the mere seven years since I moved away just blows my mind.

And I did already download your map of Santa Barbara off the BSC LEX, too. If you're referring to something else though, I would certainly be interested.

To be quite honest, I have no idea where in the world where that actually is.  I had a lot of data that was unnamed as far as where it came from hence the reason the data for those maps were used for realistic-looking fantasy maps.

As for your request, can you be more specific in which region of the world those places are you want mapped?1.gif

I've never played Ace Combat 6 so I have no idea what the terrain looks like.  I don't think I'll be able to help you with this request.

Ive been lurking on this thread for a while and love your maps!

    Can I make a request?

I would like to see a map of Pyongyang North Korea, because I am trying to make a Communist/Stalinist-related city (maybe a CJ eventually) and want to use some of the North Korea and Commie BATs that have been uploaded here from before.

I would also like to see a map of Shanghai, China and Minneapolis-St Paul area.

    Thanks for considering!

just i thought i would ask. anyway thanks

It's ready to go except for the rendering, which at this time I cannot do. My disk drawer will not open so I can't get my game disk into the computer to load the game up. I have no idea when I will be able to get this issue fixed, so for now, I can't do anymore more maps.>:(

Hello blade, Iwas wondering if you were ever able to find Chernobyle yet...can you use a center point to find the area for a map? If so the location is 51.394386,30.077133. Thank you if you can, I use only your maps because only your realism is the best way to do it. Thanks in advance, Joshua.

not sure if anyone is on this threat but i need help with map making. i have a huge map that is 27x27 large city tiles but it absolutely refuses to load in terraformer. i've tried taking other maps and importing my own config.bmp but that doesn't work either. the only thing that i can think of to get it load is to create 729 sc4 files but that is extremely time consuming.

here is the link for my base file map

"We'll be in too close for nukes. Same thing goes for missiles. No, this is going to be strictly a gun battle. Like two old ships on the line, slugging it out at point-blank range. I want the gun captains to do their job and start firing immediately and to continue to fire until they run out of ammo. Then, I want them to start throwing rocks." -- William Adama, Battlestar Galactica
