Even I download the close beta, do I still need to get a key (code) to sign up? If I do, I recieve a message from Simtropolis saying, " Welcome to Simtropolis! As a new user, you must wait a few hours before you can try to claim a key (I hope you understand, the advantage must go to existing members). You are more than welcome to check back a little later. Good luck!" Do, I have to wait a few hours to get a code?

Mostly just keep browsing.  Also, there is an expired codeword on the search results page (in answer to my own question about finding a codeword "in the wild").

Hey, Dirk,  could you say approximately how many keys are available per codeword?  Or does it vary by difficulty?
