    Sunset Beach - Day One You arrive in Sunset Beach late in the night. The station is busier than you expected for this time of night, but many tourists are also arriving from nearby airports and travelled by train to Sunset Beach. At 11pm you arrive at your hotel, an hour later than scheduled - there was a hold up on the rail network.

    Your hotel is The Pink Flamingo, it is a 4 star hotel built along with many others in the 1980's. It's art deco styling provides a change from the modern hotels you've been in so far, however the interior of the hotel is still relatively modern and extremely well kept.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Sunset-ArtDeco.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    Among the art deco and modern hotels on the Sunset Promenade there are also a few cheaper hotels and travel inns. The Courtyard Hotel is part of a large chain of hotels on the island which provide cheaper last-minute rooms charged per person per night. Although the hotel is less expensive than the 4- and 5-star hotels it still maintains very impressive service and has all the modern amenities.

    After spending a good nights sleep in your hotel room you awake early morning on your 8th day on the island. You're now past half way of your tour and have two full-packed days in the islands largest holiday resort. For your first day you decide to tour the sights and take in the resorts culture and history - tomorrow you will have some fun!

    Your first stop is in the nearby district known as The Park, due to it's large number of grass plains and parks. As you are driven around the districts well-known and popular sights you spot a very modern building which seems almost out of place amongst the districts mainly victorian manors. The Aerospace Engineering Systems Company, or AES for short, is a multi-billion simoleon technology company that develop aircraft and military defense systems. Seemingly out of place near a holiday resort, the company is actually strategically placed and uses the uninhabitated northern islands for it's testings.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Sunset-AerospaceTech.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    On the other side of the coin is the districts victorian-style brick buildings, brought to the island by the British settlers some hundreds of years ago. The fine attention to detail and maticulous care that went into these buildings has made them stand the test of time.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Sunset-Architecture.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    In the districts shopping centres there are many stores that are famous throughout the world. Here you spot a Blockbuster movie store - offering 3 nights DVD rentals for

    Sunset Beach - Day Two - Trip to Waterworld

    Good morning, it's day 9 of your island tour and today you are off to two of Sunset Beach's best tourist traps. At 9am you hop aboard your hotel minibus for the trip to the nearest visitor attraction - Waterworld - the resorts own extensive water park!

    Waterworld has everything you need to relax by the water. Two large open air swimming pools let you bask outside in the sun whilst sipping your favourite drink at one of the parks two water bars and one dry bar. If you're feeling adventurous you can take a thrill ride on any of the parks 14 outdoor water slides. If you prefer to relax in the cool you can swim in the parks air conditioned indoor swimming pool or shoot down the indoor water slide. And if you fancy a walk you can trek through the parks extensive open grass areas with large lakes, four ponds and a waterfall!

    Sunset Beach - Day Two - An Adventure at Funland
    At 1pm you leave Waterworld on the 15 minute journey to Funland, the resorts famous theme park. Although Funland is situated close to Waterworld the entrance to the theme park is not on the Central Avenue, but is actually further into the residential area of The Park. The entrace to the park, on Park Lane, is your first stop.

    All: The final updates will take me a little while to post and organise so please bare with me. In the meantime please comment, comment and comment! Any suggestions for improving cities etc. are really appreciated.

    The Capital City of Kaneone

    After six hours of travelling by coach along the East Coast you finally reach the capital city of Kaneone (pronouned Can-e-own). You may think that the city will have numerous skyscrapers, but you'd be wrong. Due to the city's isolation from the North and West cities the city is mostly medium rised office buildings, residential flats, apartments and low rise residential buildings. Although there are no skyscrapers the capital city is the most financial orientated city on the island and has the best health, education and crime rates.

    As you prepare to tour the city you take a glance at the city fact sheet and are shocked at the money figures. The city's financial banks hold over

    Travelling to Kailua

    Although Kailua is only an hours drive away you decide to grab the newpaper that lies in the seat-pocket in front of you. You open it up to the front page and begin to read as your luxury coach cruises towards the small town of Kailua.

    Kailua
    Kailua is a small town and is the closest such town to the capital. The town consists mainly of low-rise residential housing with some small town shopping departments. The towns wealth is mainly low however there are some high wealth residential houses for workers from Kaneone who live out of the city and commute to their work.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/isla_de_sueonos_tour_kailua.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    Kailua is one of many small towns on the island such as small towns between Mililani and Sunset Beach, as well as the small suburbs of Waianae. The residential is mainly terraced houses.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kailua-Residential.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    The richer residents who work in the capital and commute from this small town can afford larger houses and villas. These have become an ever more common sight as the small town is set to become a home for many city commuters.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kailua-RichResidential.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    The town is so small that it only needs the single school, hospital and police station, all located in the centre of town. Although the town is not required to meet health targets, it has decided to aim for the targets and has managed to provide a very good level of healthcare and education.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kailua-Hospital.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    If you want to do some shopping in the town you can head down to the local shops and stores in the town. They aren't like the huge department stores you've seen in the resorts and cities and they are mostly family owned businesses, but they provide a nice change from the commercialised world.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kailua-SmallTownShopping.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    But, if you ever begin to miss the larger department stores that you're used to, you can always head in the centre of town for the town's Ikea furniture store and Sainsbury's supermarket.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kailua-IkeaSainsburys.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    So you've seen the small town of Kailua. Now, with just two days left, you're heading off to Waikiki and Honolulu. You'll spend your first day touring the two areas and on the second day you'll have to head off to the airport for your trip home.

    Waikiki & Honolulu - Day One - Suburb of Waikiki Waikiki & Honolulu lie on the same stretch of coastline and aren't exactly city's, they are simply rather large towns. They are mostly low-rise residential with local shops like those seen in Kailua. Located two hours drive away from Kailua, you head around the East Coast and through mountains before arriving at the small town of Waikiki.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/isla_de_sueonos_tour_waikiki.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    As you enter Waikiki you see the rather adorable little houses that line the avenue. No high-rise apartments, hotels or resorts to be found here. Only a friendly town and the island's second best surf, number one being Sunset Beach.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-Waikiki.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    You can of course spend some of your holiday money at the local shops. There are no Ikeas or Sainsbury's here, people mostly head to neighbouring Pearl City for their big shops and businesses.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-WaikikiShops.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    One welcomed change that you've seen from Waianae to Waikiki and Honolulu is the change from big tourist destinations with hotels, resorts, beach bars and parks, to a more realistic real life town with nature and history at it's heart. This is the local House of Worship, anyone from any faith is welcome here.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-Worship.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    Waikiki's church is a beautiful sight surrounded by grass and wild flowers. It's the largest church in Waikiki, but if you want to see big then you need to head to Honolulu...

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-WaikikiChurch.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    ...which is where you're off two next in part two of today's journey. You'll take in the sights before staying overnight in a hotel in Honolulu before going to the Honolulu Municipal Airport to head for home.

    Next Update: Coming now, again!

    Waikiki & Honolulu - Day One - Town of Honolulu

    Waikiki may lie on the same coastline as Honolulu, but in comparison Waikiki is very small. Honolulu is known to locals as The Big Town as it isn't a city, but isn't a town, it's something in-between. So, on the afternoon of your second to last day on the island you tour the islands historical and cultural centre.
    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/isla_de_sueonos_tour_honolulu.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    The housing is identical to those in Waikiki, no high-rise apartments or hotels, except your small hotel that lies just past the border.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-Residential.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    The border between Waikiki and Honolulu is defined by the beautiful park known as The Hill. Your hotel sits on the Honolulu side of The Hill and is surrounded on one side by residential houses, and by The Hills wild flowers on the other.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-Hotel.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    You can go shopping in Honolulu in the local shops, and there's the odd world-known stores from time to time. Like this small shopping park, with small family businesses, bakers, tailors... and a Blockbuster.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-Blockbuster.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    As you're on a long stretch of beach that isn't crowded by resorts and hotels, you can relax on the beach and even enjoy some watersports in the open waters. Honolulu's marina is located on the beachfront, just a short walk down a winding brick lane.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-Marina.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    There is no bus service in Honolulu or Waikiki, but this is made up for with Honolulu's Grande Station, over a century old, the train station was abandoned when the rail link was destroyed. With the creation of the new rail network, the Grande Station was renovated and will act as the transfer point between the Eastern Mainline through the capital and the Western Mainline through Pearl City, linking the two via the Southern Link Line which is currently under construction.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-TrainStation.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    Moving further around Honolulu, here is the war memorial at Pershing Square. The memorial is dedicated to the numerous American Navy personnel who sailed from Honolulu after resupplying on their cross-atlantic missions.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-Memorial.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    Another insight into Honolulu's history and cluture is the St. Paul's Cathedral, located on The Hill. The beautiful white cathedral is surrounded by well-kept fields and wild flowers. Many tourists arrive in Honolulu to look inside the cathedral at it's famous ceiling paintings.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-Cathedral.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    On the subject of cathedrals, you head back to Pershing Square to take a look at the famous St. Mary's Cathedral. The gothic styled cathedral dates back over a century and was built along with the first large colonies on the island.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Honolulu-PershingSq.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    At the end of a lovely sight-seeing day you head back to your hotel to rest for the night. Tomorrow morning you'll be heading to the airport and heading back home. That's when you'll be pleasently suprised!

    Early this morning the Prime Minister stood on the steps of City Hall and cast his votes for the minister positions in the expansion of the SCJU. His votes will not be known but the result is expected by tomorrow. The Prime Minister also expressed his hope to acheive the position of Public Relations Minister for the union. Agriculture Development Plan is working says Camille Meadows.

    The nationwide development of agricultural land, known as the Agricultural Development Plan, is working well according the head of the Environmental Agency, Camille Meadows. In a statement responding to criticism that expenses in transit and power for the agricultural land is outwieghing it's profits, Ms Meadows said like any other development plan, this is likely to have teething pains. She went on to say We have been in close talks with the Department for Energy and are establishing overall power needs for the agricultural lands. Following this information we intend to take the relevant action, which may be to share power between the areas or develop cheaper, renewable energy sources.

    As a first time visitor here, I shall make a comment on this CJ in general: it's just GREAT 44.gif I just love the variety of things you show us - from urban development to leisure parks and sports facilities. And all this is done in a very interesting way, indeed. And probably the best thing is your signature - the main reason why I came here 17.gif

    So keep it up, great start (well, not start anymore, but anyway 2.gif) so far !!!

Please consider this option and let me know what you think, as a member of the SCJU i want to express my wishes of you joining the union. Simbourgeois: Thanks! It's comments like yours that make this CJ so much more worth while. Keep them coming.

    Jerebannus XV: On behalf of the Prime Minister, we thank you for your enthusiasm and interest in our island nation and would like to express our gladness in joining the SCJU. You are more than welcome to discuss tourism with our City Planning Office, and you have picked an excellent time to put forward your ideas.

    The City Planning Office has announced radical plans, including the Agriculture Plan, re-development of poorer regions of the islands major cities, the development of Union House - the building solely dedicated to the SCJU in our nation and will be the home of any future summits held on the island, as well as the radical plan to develop North Shore, a large and currently empty area of land to the North near Waianae. The area will be developed into a cultural city with tourism and hotels along the bay. Plans for rural hotels and national parks are also in the pipeline.

    Feel free to PM me your ideas and I'll set the wheels in motion.
