Update: Nordlingen Sanatorium Memorial Hospital.(Nordlingen Tuberculosis Sanatorium)

Hey there!!,back here to preview another update on our countries first build healthcare hospital. The Nordlingen Island Memorial Hospital was the first and the oldest hospital build in United Islands Of Territories.Build during the Protestant invasion around 1700,it serves as a medical clinic and a town hospital on the hills of Nordlingen Town.In the early 20th century,Medelpad and Nordlingen Town was severly striken with an outbreak of tuberculosis due to the refugees fleeing from their country and trespasses into UIT to avoid the disease which is spreading in Northern Germany. At that period, most refugees are infected with TB when they were intruding Medelpad Town causing a major tuberculosis outbreaks in UIT.The hospital was the most visited place to cure and prevent the TB to spread further.During that time, the first hospital block was just build to hold 10 patients and a medicine storeroom to provide equipment, the outbreaks of the tuberculosis caused a major overcrowding to the hospital. At least 200 people was admitted in the first hospital block and the spread becomes even more worse due to lack of hygiene and lack of medical equipments.

Plans were introduced to expand the hospital by building another block that will house 510 patients to avoid the disease from spreading further, over crowding in the first block which patient capacity was inefficient and the poor condition of the building. The new block started construction in 1895 and it was completed around 1903.Serious overcrowding was still affecting the hospital which more expansions is needed to treat more patients. The hospital management ran out of funds and decided to use a cheap way to treat outpatients that is minor on a field. In 1920,streptomycin was introduced to prevent or cure tuberculosis which was proven effective, the amount of tuberculosis patients dropped by 51% and the hospital was back into a normal status.During the TB outbreak, approximately 2,793 people died and was buried around the hospitals lot/area.

Today, the hospital serves as the main hospital for Medelpad Island. Many doctors, nurses and staffs claimed that they have seen many supernatural, ghostly and paranormal activities during their working hours, but many citizens claim that it is among the most beautiful/scenic hospital ever build in the United Islands Of Territories.

To start off, here are some pics...

I always remember Brokenshire Hospital here in Davao City everytime i see a hospital surrounded by graveyards. hehehehe

Nordlingen Sanatorium Memorial Hospital had a great history and made a success in treating an outbreak in the country. It will be so crucial and is not easy for being the only one hospital to treat an outbreak of TB in the country. I like the history of that hospital. Very Great!

The location and the design of the hospital helps ease the illness of an individual. it is surrounded by trees and away from main roads avoiding traffic noice. and also the good thing is that it has a park and space in between. I love those trees surrounding. It gives fresh air that is really needed for a sick person. hehehehehe. i think thats one of the reason why the hospital overcome the outbreak of TB. hehehehehehe

I love that hospital. i hope i can work there. lol

Good job Victor! UIT also cares the healthcare system of the country! Excellent 9.gif

Wonderful work on the hospital! The surroundings are looking so scenic - a very nice place where patients could not only treat the disease, but truly recover from it! Great work, indeed 19.gif

Keep up the great work! Looking forward for the next update!

It is a very beautiful and scenic hospital, more serene then the one i was born in. However that's a large number of "resting places".

Excellent work on the area, good job.

    Teaser: Khelkeimberg Island.

Hello again!,Well im previewing a teaser this time about my low wealth sims residential district which is Khelkeimberg Island. It is known as the Bronx of United Islands Of Territories and most housing projects takes place here to provide housing and shelter to the homeless and poor.Located at the western district of Berlina,Khelkeimberg is only accessible via the Stadviertel-Berlinastad Bridge located at Khelkeimberg's 7th Ring Road.

As a low wealth housing district,it rates as UIT's top highest crime rated district during the 1990's but now its lesser due to strict law enforcing and Khelkeimberg Town has the most suburban feel compare to any other housing districts in United Islands Of Territories.
