Farming Village WAD or Bug?

I have a pretty annoying bug, or maybe WAD.

I am building a little farming village. It's all working very nicely, building farms etc. However, most of my farms (the ones further away), don't have any workers! It says they provide jobs, the Sims seem to have jobs, but there is absolutely noone driving there! While the farms closer to the village have up to 60 cars! It's not that I have build too many industrial zones, because every now and then the demand for residential goes down, and it says I need more industrial zones. I don't get it...

It always tells me that I need more industrial, even when the yellow bar is in negative territory. I think it's best not to worry about the workers as long as everything is going well. I have several skyscrapers which are doing booming business and have lots of customers even though no one seems to be working there.

yeah that happens... you should click on the rci graph to narrow down what field you need more development in

chances are you need some high density industrial... there will be a bar graph that shows the individual $$$ groups... all nine of them

But the farms are there, working, and when I use the query tool on them, it says they provide jobs. But no workers go there according to the transportation query...

I have noticed that in my game as well. Don't worry about. I get it a lot. As long as your sims have jobs, everything is going fine.

yeah... it happens to me too... put in some bus stops if you want people to go out to a farm... sims dont like driving too far

Which it true as far as the game, but like many things in SC4, is ridiculous in terms of realism.

I know why <3

Its because that farm has been allocated to allow other cities to use it as jobs. Ever go to a neighbour city only to see thousands flocking next door when they shouldn't? They use up those jobs for you, its one of the ways the simcity engine deals with making region play more attractive to players.

Its sometimes if its too far away, or if  they just don't need it but the -demand isn't enough to dilapidate it. Hence why neighbouring cities snap those jobs up for you <3
