No, except for the commercial breaks18.gif  I'm a little peeved they didn't air the pilot before the series start date, now I gotta wait until next week to see what happens next.  I've been waiting 9 months for that second episode.

How did you like it by the way?  Did you like [spoiler, highlight to read] how they explained where the centurions got their concept of a one god?  BSG never answered that question and it drove my wife and I nuts trying to figure out how they got that concept.  Now we know.1.gif

I thought the Pilot was very well done. thier's not an explination yet of why the ships were part biological though.

And you're probably not going to learn that in this show.  I seriously doubt this series will cover the entire 58-year period before the annihilation of the Twelve Colonies.  Most likely it'll end somewhere around the time the centurions rise up against their human masters.

You know, there is one thing that I just can't take in "Science Fiction" is the idea of a robot, construct, artificial being turning into Frankenstein's monster. I am an Asimov Laws believer.

Why would any sane society build such things without at least the First Law?

Good question. I wonder if anyone writing this stuff is sane or has even dipped his toes in the genre. Mary Shelly wrote this plot over a century ago.

I didn't watch it yesterday, (my mum probably wouldn't like me to watch it and seeing as the pilot is 4 hours and she only went shopping for 1 hour)

Apparently it was an extended version like the one that come on the DVD, but I can't remember if I watched the DVD or TV version, it was such a long time ago (That really annoys me how shows have such long breaks *cough* BSG S4, SGU*cough*)

So could someone give a rough guide of what happened, like how

the centurions got one god

Caprica looks like it will be good.

As for others

Santuary

Warehouse 13

Primevil

Star gate Universe has the potential to be better then its 1st season, sometimes on these shows you have to give it more the one season.

On  Tuesdays you can  relive Star Trek : Next gereration.

Not sure which episode of which Stargate series you saw but EB is right:  sometimes you have to give it more than one season.  I believe Stargate is worth more than one episode.

If you caught an episode of Stargate:SG1 from early in the first season, I can see how you reacted as you did.  Some of those were just icky.  That show didn't hit it stride until later on.  Stargate:Universe hasn't hit it yet.  Stargate:Atlantis seems to be one of those love it or hate it things although I'm not sure why.  All TV shows have episodes that are clunkers.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. First off, the pilot is 90 minutes with 30 minutes of commercials, not four hours.  Some scenes were changed for the television broadcast, like the opening scene for instanace, all the nudity from the DVD was cut out, the Mag-Lev  [subway/train] explosion sequence was shorter in the TV broadcast to name a few minor differences.  Check your PM for for the answer to your other question you put spoiler alerts to.2.gif

No more than I liked BSG. Soap operas should be in the afternoon on radio, not in prime time television.

She's obviously was not thinking rationally when she dropped that bombshell.  People do react in different ways when dealing with a death of a child and she definitely made a destructive move, but afterwards, [ spoiler, highlight to read] as the show ends, that look on Joe Adama's face spoke volumes of what's to come [end spoiler1.gif].

Hmm I wonder who the voice in the closet is?

Any one notice the guy who played Metheos in Highlander: the series, is the police commisioner?

And looks like Sam might have a Road to Predition  moment next week.

Did every one stop watching this?

this week looked to be a filler episode.

I do have a small issue with them and the 30's retro look, its ok with the clothes and things like that, but, they have regular shutles to other planets, mag trains, computer acess with disposable sheets of paper, the holonet, modern cell phones and  built a AI robot. so why when they raided the school, why were  the press photographers useing one shot flash bulbs?

I was annoyed that we didn't see anymore of Tamara or new Cap City. What I like about Caprica though is the bad guys (the Graystones) are portrayed as the good guys, while the Adama family is portrayed as the bad guys more.

And I also like the fact that the teenager who arranged the meeting with Barnabus (the barbed wire was just horrible though)for Lacie is responsible for the destruction of the 12 colonies 4.gif

And we finally get to know what Sister Clariece (or whatever) is up to.

In a more general approach we note that there are new BSG, SGA and SGU episodes to be broadcast soon.

Anybody read the movie fanzines?  What has been the impact of the revised Star Trek?  Think it will make it to the small screen?

New Battle Star Galactica episodes? I know SGU returns next week.

I suspect there will be  a new Star Trek  series but not soon, mabey in a few years when every one forgets about

Enterprize and they and stop going back to  pre original series and reinventing the time line. Cant those  people see

you dont need to keep going back to the same well over and over, you just need to get creative with the universe you are in.

Did every one  like the Old Yeller moment in Caprica?

And was that Eddie Izzard playing the  MC at The Mysteries bar?
