Wow! Looks EXTREMELY CLOSE to the one closest to my house (it was remodeled from a regular Wal-Mart), but has some "stuff" between the entrances (including a fire escape, benches, off-limit areas, and I think possibly the back entrance to the vision center).

In regards to the roof, there appears to be skylights, which for me at least, is only found in the grocery section and not the general merchandise. I'd like to attach a Google Maps shot, but when it was taken, it was in the midst of construction.

Edit: For some reason that mall looks REALLY familiar. Something about that entrance facade. That store-in-progress on the end there doesn't happen to be a Sears, does it?

It's El Norte Mall in Laredo, TX.

In regards to the Walmart, there's three entrances locally. One is the Garden entrance ("Outdoor Living"), one is the main entrance ("Health & Living"), and one is the food entrance ("Market & Pharmacy"...I think)

Thank you so much, I kew you was going to make this building. There some others that need to be made to. I have made a bojangle's, I said somthing about it in the request thread, there is a Golden corral, and a cook out that needs to be made to. I will show you a picture of my Bojangle's soon.

Great job on the Walmart. The only thing I can think of switching the Health & Pharmacy and Home & Living signs (because the Garden Center is on the General Merchandise side, see) but it's REALLY GREAT LOOKING. Congratulations!

Heblem, how about you make something like a modular strip mall like the one SimGoober made (Plop-A-Shop). You could have it with three different sizes for stores. For instance:

Larger Stores:

Home Depot

Lowes

Menards

Super Target

Costco

JCPenney

Burlington Coat Factory

K-Mart

KOHL's

etc.

Medium Stores:

Marshalls

Big Lots

Best Buy

Old Navy

Petco/ PetsMart

Shoe Carnival

Bed Bath & Beyond

Babies R Us/ Toys R US

DSW Shoe Store

Michael's

Ross Dress 4 Less

etc.

Small stores:

Well it doesn't matter, usually just filler stores like Game Stop, Cell Phone stores, Dollar Tree, etc.

I know many of the stores on the list have already been made, but most of them were batted to be stand alone stores and not strip malls. Thank you for all of your wonderful creations!

If he does all of those he will be like simgoober, another bating hero. Do you see how many uploads he has, there's a lot he must have been on GOD mode, because he has alot of uploads, in so little time, but alot of them are small so if should not take over 24 hours to make those small models.

its a promising model but texture preview and consideration and if its all good then the stex release... the model is excellent, worth the extra effort then another 'here's hoping that the mall will eventually happen...

Mall plans

Consist of a set of 5 main lots, those in yellow rectangles. Which you as player, you'll have to build it as like designed, but you can make your own parking lots, and easily manage the space for other commerces outside mall.

The red squares are textures of the drives i have to design specify for that area, as like i did in mock town project two years ago...

The green squares are those textures which are repetitive, but with different design, the rest will be textures included in the LBT mega texture pack.

Including with the pack, a series of parking lots for the mall for anything desire and a parking lot garage with an direct entrance to the mall.

So what do you think about this? is the design alright for your cities? enough space?

Malls always require space! In many cases, they are the defining feature of a landscape (like an aerial) Go for it, and don't forget a sprawling parking lot!

Based on Mall del Norte, the mall it is based after, I'd say JCPenney, Macy's, Sears, Dillard's (those are givens) would be included. Forever 21 and Bealls maybe, and Joe Brand, a department store found only in Laredo, highly unlikely.

But it's possible all of them will be in, as the floorplan is extremely similar (flip it 90 degrees)

haha, your asking us... That thing will be a smash hit once it gets released.

What I like most about your mall is that it has a variety of architectural styles, or its based off a mall that is a mix of old and new. It's very representative of malls you see in the US.

That my friend it's a really interesting project...I also saw you released a Beta version of your dam, that is another excellent project, if you planning to make some changes to it you may want to check the concrete textures as they look tiled...looking forward to see the mall!

I like the plan for it, several lots, like a puzzle, that will be interesting as everyone can place what they want around the mall. Maybe a hotel like is currently happening all across Mexico, a mall and a hotel integrated to the mall or right next to it.

I think -concerning the big mall, its a good idea, a notion of adaptability, flexibility and customizable to individual choice, something wort thinking through for effective execution... good luck in 'fleshing out' this big project...

also a note on texture... your really don't need anything exotic a good choice and skillful use of stock textures should work well for this... hopefully using stock textures will make it a simpler chore... also I have a notion of 'flex' name for the mall; that is to make a mall sign pack with a few-several names to chose from perhaps there is a sign person volunteer -to work with, who would make an 'add-on' for this project
