Dfnva: Thank you for your comment. i'm starting to change all my highways to RHW 9.gif. I think they look great.

Schulmanator: Thank you my friend. I'm glad you enjoy this update because here comes more 9.gif

    Ruwar County Eighteen Update

    Flamingo Lodge Bay

Well Guys we are still on Flamingo Lodge Bay and this time we will see something that you guys never seen in Ruwar County before. Yes i think we are going back to the past because this buildings are pretty old.

We departed from Gardens Seaport at 6 AM and arrived at our destination at 11 PM of the Next day. As We can see this is very different from Gardens City that we know. We decided to stay at Mariner Inn and then start our tour the next day.

    marina1.jpg

Next day in the morning we just went for a walk on the historic Seawall Blvd. and have some coffee at this old Starbucks 1.gif

    marina2.jpg

After we finished our coffee we decided to cross boulevard and head to the letterman building for some classic humorous entertainment.

    marina3.jpg

Because there was not a single Cab in this City and there was NO a single bus here we had to walk to most of our destinations. After walking for fifteen minutes, We aproach the Old Sulliman Causeway, One of the Most Historic Places all over Ruwar County, and went to the pier that was right at the end of it.

    marina4.jpg

As Night was aproaching, We decided to go to some of the Bars around the city just to have a taste of what this city is made of... Remember there is a LOT of sailors here so we are taking precautions 2.gif

    marina5.jpg

We couldn't quite make it to our hotel but one of our new "friend" show us how cool is to live under the tunnel.

    marina6.jpg

After leaving the tunnel we realize that it was almost 6 PM so we didn't take any chances and went back to our hotel. There was a problem though... Our room was already occupied and they didn't have any other rooms. We left the hotel and ask some of the people around here where can we stay or if there was another hotel around. They told us just to keep going north on Marina Way and then we will find 2 hotels.

    marina7.jpg

Another day has passed and we didn't want to stay at the city so we decided to hit the road... remember that we couldn't find a cab or bus But our new "friend" hook us up with one of the guys at the Logging company so we could travel with them and kinda know this great city a little more. We also had to work with them.. it was really though but it was ok as long as we know the area.

    marina10.jpg

Finally after hours of cutting some trees we went on a joy ride and we passed a Mine and a Industrial park. It was awesome! i never saw a mine very close.

    marina9.jpg

Finally we reach the Logging Company headquaters and pick up a check 9.gif. Now with that money we at least can rent a car or rent a boat 1.gif. For now we are just gonna stay in on of this houses until the next day and then we will go down the coastal highway and see what we find 2.gif

    marina8.jpg

Thank you guys for your comments and i hope you like this update 2.gif

Update 17 were both great updates. Let me start off with Update 17. The river junctions offer spectacular scenery, I love the rail bridges over the rivers. Downtown Cosbi is amazing. I love your use of W2W buildings, especially in the diagonals. Everything looks so good!

You are showing some great versatility in update 18. I really like how the county has wide variety of scenery/cityscapes to offer. I love the older district, I really like how it adds the history to the city. All those W2W areas are amazing. I love the work you've done in these updates. Keep it up!!

    Ruwar County Nineteen Update

    Flamingo Lodge Bay

Third Day in our vacations and today we are heading down to the Coastal Highway to see what we find But before we go there we are gonna chill out the old fashion way or the way that they do it here 2.gif (yeap that is US on the right low corner of the picture)

After 3 hours driving down the Coastal Highway, We finally made it.... Welcome to Martin Beach also know as The Gateway of Ruwar County.

    marina13.jpg

Because it was kind of late we decided to find a hotel fast But we couldn't stop looking at this impressive monument... i wonder why they build this... We kept going on looking for a good hotel to stay in because we don't want to sleep on a tunnel again 3.gif

    marina14.jpg

What a Luxurious hotel we found and what a view 9.gif. hey look at your right..... There is The marina and what is that on the left? it looks like a giant pizza 41.gif. Well let's go down and see.

    marina15.jpg

We finally made it buddy now let's see what was that giant pizza 9.gif

    marina16.jpg

    RUWAR COUNTY

    Gardens Financial Center

This should be a full update but due to my stressful RL and laptop problems i couldn't upload a lot of pictures. Sorry guys for this long delay and i hope you like this mini update... All this doesn't mean that this CJ is dead... it only means that it will take more time to make any updates.

I tried to play around with this GIMP program and i think it is pretty cool .... 1.gif ( first time using it and posting a kinda-photoshop picture)

I just hopped in and found a real nice and colourful CJ here! 1.gif

Nice medium density urban areas as well as rural villages, a nice shoreline. For my personal (and middle-european) taste the woods could be more dense.

With the mosaic, well, I haven't been able to make one in four years of CJing, so ... don't worry too much!

    Take Care!

Hawkeye9: Thank You. Oh Yeah The combination of the buildings are awesome Thanks to the guys of the HK TEAM 9.gif. I gotta say that program is pretty good and for the price it is even better 4.gif. I'll promise you a 3 picture update and that's what we have next 9.gif plus something else2.gif

Bluemoose: Thank you so much for taking your time to view/read it from the start. I gotta say at the beginning i didn't know much of the STEX or LEX... My improvement came with all of the persons who kept replying and giving me some advices 9.gif.

Schulmanator: Thank you 9.gif. i tried to make a theme there... can you guess what is the theme? 38.gif

Nardo69: Thank you for hopping in 5.gif... I gotta say that Colors are the life/vibrate of the CJ itself. Well i thought that making the woods more dense will make the area just plain but i will add your advice in future updates 2.gif. Well about the Mosaic i couldn't resize it 15.gif so there might not be a Perfect-Photoshop mosaic BUT i tried to do something else and i hope it works 4.gif

    RUWAR COUNTY TWENTIETH UPDATE

    Gardens City - Uptown

After Long hours trying to overcome my  worst fears Desirability and Land Value. i manage to get this city back on track but it is still a RE-WORK in progress ( You guys might wanna check my first update to see what i mean). I manage to have some pictures taken and hopefully a surprise... iI just hope it works 45.gif....

Picuter 1.  We are Now on traveling on Interstate 10 Formely know as Berry Parkway... This Highway had to also be Re-Do to massive congestion problems on the interchanges... I'm still disscussing some expansion procedures.... This won't be easy due to the small amout of land that the engineers have to work on....

    PNEW2.jpg

Picture 2.  We decided to make a stop at the New Children Hospital. Gardens Barry Children Hospital. This Hospital has all major services for all the children living at Ruwar County. The Hospital is well located next to the Mc Arthur Avenue and the Mc Arthur Jr. Train station named after the construction of the Hospital.

    PNEW1.jpg

Picture 3. New building have started to be build in this city. One of the most impressive mid-size tower called Man-Hu Tower. This building is one of the cities welcome entrance for visitors. It is located nex to the HSBC Building and the Canterra Tower which is also a new addition to the skyline of this city.

    PNEW7.jpgPNEW8.jpg

    PNEW9.jpg

That was the little surpise 10.gif... i think it turned out pretty good... NO Photoshop on that kinda-mosaic just darn pixel by pixel counting 46.gif... i kinda messed it up on the second picture but overall it looks good i guess... tell me guys what you think 9.gif....

This was all folks for today and like i said Updates will come slow but they will come at one point. Patience is the key of success 44.gif.

    RUWAR COUNTY TWENTIETH FIRST UPDATE

    Gardens City - Uptown 2

We're going to focus on the bottlenecks of Gardens City such as Interstate 10, Interstate 110 and Regional 7.

We are gonna head to City hall to see what the Mayor is going to do about this issues...

Picture 1. We are coming closer to the train station .... *Bing* Arriving at Nedex Rd. Station *Bing* ....

    workzone51.jpg

Picture 2. At the Office of the Mayor... Mr. Mayor we are the representatives of the Ruwar County Deparment of Transportation ( RCDOT) and we need your approval for some proyects that we plan to do around the city. *Mayor is thinking* Well Sir.. There are some serious problems here at Gardens City. The new habitants are tired of waiting in traffic for 4 hours just to get home and some others are concern because of the many accidents in the area. I'll show you some pictures to see what i mean by that.

    workzone1.jpg

As you can see here the problem is the extremely amount of buses running in this area. *Mayor says You don't need to tell me anything else.. i'll give you my approval for any proyect that you want to do as long as it help my community* Good Call mayor We are gonna start working in this issue ASAP.

Picture 3. Work started at full swing... They close Regional 7 and detour all the traffic to Pompano Road...

    workzone2.jpg

The proposal was to make the old regional 7 interchange a new 4 lane interchange and gain more space so new bussiness can have more room.

Picture 4 and 5. After 4 months of hard work the New interchange was finally finish. New signs have to be also put and new trees had to be plant. They also rename the interchange.. Now it is know as Staint Interchange

    workzone3.jpg

Another picture looking North. Notice the new sign down below. Also the landscape was preserve and even improve.

    workzone4.jpg

Picture 7. As we move north in Interstate 10 we can see another Huge problem. The interchange I -10 / I - 110. This interchange was made this way due to lack of space. This is will be one of our thougest projects because it will include buying some residential and commercial properties.

    workzone6.jpg

This Project will have two phases. First we will have to bulldoze those elevated roads because they represent a serious hazard do to their sharp curves. Second on the top of the picture, there is a single lane entrance. That will have to be upgraded to a Doble lane entrance so it can support all the heavy traffic that is having.

Picture 8.  Phase 1 is finally done. the Final project cost was 1.456.234.987 Billion Dollars. We couldn't forget about the landscape on this area neither. There is a better improvement and the Mayor is happy with the outcome of Phase 1.  Also this Interchange wasn't rename. It will keep his original name of Gardens Interchange.

    workzone7.jpg

This was all for today folks so see you on the next update. Don't forget to comment... I really aprecciate all the feedback that i can get 44.gif

I've missed some great stuff, it seems. Particularily enjoyable are the barriers you're using on I-10 and the beautifully landscaped JCT of I-10 and I-110.

I also like the Seawall Blvd area with the great looking harbors and w2w buildings.
