What a weekend.  Two really good games and two blowouts.  Best game of the Wild Card Playoffs was the Packers and Cardinals.  The game set NFL records for both teams combined with over a 1000 total of offense, 62 first downs and 96 points for a playoff game.  What a game.

Was pulling for green bay though. Still The Cards need to get some defence going againts the Saints. or it wont be pretty.

It is the playoffs, so the competition is greater in equality than in the regular season where you can rely on bad teams to consistently lose to good teams (rams, Lions, etc.) thus padding our picking stats. I would expect going .500 to be solid picking now.

Charles Woodson was named Defensive Player of the Year, a well deserved award for a fantastic season. I'll post my picks by Friday...still need time to ponder as they're all pretty tough pics.

I felt like the defensive player of the year had no wrong answer; Revis had an amazing year, as did Woodson and Sharper. Woodson really did have an impressive body of stats with all those interceptions, force fumbles, sacks and tackles.

Anyways, I won't know who won or who lost until I get home tonight, instead of sitting around watching football, I'm going down south to see Avatar in 3D. I've seen it 4x in 2D so far and just discovered this Real D theater 40 miles from here. Amazing movie, fantastic visuals and definitely going to be the biggest box office hit of all time.

I'm never watching a football game again. Nate Kaeding must have been paid off or something. One doesn't make 69 field goals in a row and then miss three in a row in one game - it's nonsense, it's ludicrous, it's blasphemy, it's madness, it's most definately NOT Sparta. ugly game by the cowboys. Tony Romo did not play as bad as his stats suggests, but it was still a bad game. The key was that the offensive-line got manhandled and straight up dominated by the Vikings defensive line. Tony Romo was under seige the entire game, trying to escape a relentless pass rush that sacked him 6 times, and hit him on virtually every throw he attempted, and the running backs kept getting hit behind the line of scrimage. So with the offense faltering, it shortened the field for the vikings offense, letting them score more easily.
