BLaM Team Announcement!!!

[BLaM 48]

Greetings all at Simtropolis,

    I am Patrick the BLaM Leader as the last acting administrator of BLaM the team that was founded by Mike Dixon Kennedy or OnlyPlace4, ThatMonkeySim, and Mightygoose… It is with sadness in my heart to officially announce the closer of the team… Since the passing of Mike back in May of 08 it’s been rather hard to keep the team running… 

 

   There are so many reasons that add up to this and well honestly I wish I could keep the team running by myself but realist it couldn’t happen… Batters Lotters and Modders has been a great team with a great vision for the community as whole!!! A lot was done and lot was achieved as well…

 

   Many great batters and Lotters and Modders are now out there that started in BLaM!!! So now with that I want to take this time to reflect on the team of BLaM members and say thank you all!!!

Final note:

 

    As the final note here I want to add that I will be offering the services of repairs to any BLaM lots or products… Any issues that arises and that needs to be directed just PM Patfirefghtr or the BLaM account and I will address them or further you can leave a request here…

 

   Also as have been the last acting Administrator of BLaM and a friend to Mike I was given full custody of all of OP4 Bats and lots… So any further concerns on those should be addressed to me here on Simtropolis…

well i never thought that BLaM would fade into the shadows...

we will still have ur BAT's and OP4(mike) around for the ages and masses to enjoy, and reflect on. i wish the remaining team a fond farewell, and hope for a new beginning to something new.

on a side note, take care pat, i'm sure we shall see u around lurking in the backround. i hope that time has helped heal the pain of losing mike. don't dwell on the past, but rather, remember the good times u two shared. you two will see eachother again someday!

Talk about making the hardest decision ever!!! Thank you dadyrghluv, it has and Ive been trying my best to be active as much as possible!!! 

Thank you Ian for this and I am sorry to had to close out the BLaM team room... It was hard to come to due that....  Again congrats on your promotion to Administrator here!!! I couldn't think of a finer man that deserves that honor than you sir!!!

Hey Pat, well, it was great that BLaM could be a really active team, producing top-notch BATs, lots, and mods. It is sad to see you guys go your own ways, but it is also nice that the members are able to move on. I wish all members (past and present) of BLaM really good luck in their future, content-wise and life-wise.

BLaM certainly has had a lively history and one for which I truly believe the SimCity Community is much richer.

I am sorry to see the team disband but can take comfort in the great custom content they've created.

I think it's very respectful to who and what BLaM was to close it now, and for it to take it's place in time, instead of vaguely lingering on.  Kind of how most people think that The Simpsons should have ended.  You wouldn't want BLaM to be The Simpsons.

This kind of thread belongs in the STEX forum, so I've moved it there (especially since the spirit of BLaM was not BAT-centric), and I've set it to not archive.

Thank you Jason and I agree it was a hard choice to make but it had to be done... Also to anyone out there if you where a member of BLaM before my joining let me know and I will give proper credit... I did try and put a accurate list together before stuff happend but needless to say it didnt work out as planned... So if you was member of BLaM let me know VIA PM or here in the thread or PM the BLaM account

To the BLaM team, I was never part, I just Recently figured LE out, but its sad because I really like the creations, Like the Logans, MarcosMX's stuff and the rest. Also I must say to mike up above, I never knew you Mister Dixon-Kennedy but you sound like you were a great person whom I would liked to have met, Rest in Peace.
