    SirUnger- Thanks

    Tomasneto- Thanks

fabsies55- Thanks, do you have any suggestions for improving them?

    Greenville

Greenville is just north of Zug and contains mostly residential and commercial buildings. Some of the residents commute to the neighboring areas, especially for industrial jobs.
Here are some single family homes in the city. This area has a tram route going around it to provide some transit options. This is the first area that I developed within the region.

    Greeneville1.jpg

Here is a tram route along some of the denser development. Public transit is an integral part of the city's development. The different types of tranit are heavily interconnected to increase usage and reduce travel times.

    Greenville2.jpg

Here is a development on the edge of town that was built on what was, until recently, farmland. The ICE runs near hear along with normal trains, and you can see both along the rightside of the picture.

    Greenville3.jpg

Another residential area within the city.

    kingdiz_55- Thanks.

    1. The passenger train I use is the IC from this http://kurier.simcityplaza.de/details.php?file=381 There is also a freight train in there I use, can't remember which one

    2. I use the bullet train mod from here http://yaplog.jp/waldorf/archive/60

3 the train skin I use on the bullet train is https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=17723 (SMP Ice train for HSRP)

    4. I can't remember what the poles are right now, when I find out I'll let you know.

    5. The buildings I use are from SFBT, BLaM, BSC, NDEX, which are the ones I have the most from. I have no real list of everything, as it is over 1 gig worth. But if you search off of that you shoudl be able to find most of what I use.

    Farmington

Farmington is a small settlement set in the forest bordering farmlands. This is where most of the farmworkers in this area live. Not much goes on here, there are almost no public services provided here, at this time at least. The following pictures show the residential area.

    farmington2.jpg

    farmington1.jpg

    Traverse

Traverse is a town located west of a large industrial area which employs some of it's citizens. It has a bit of development, but retains a large area of forest surroundings.

    The center of town

    traverse1.jpg

single family homes on the south side.

    traverse2.jpg

Here is a small commercial area which has developed near the border with Pontiac, which will be shown in the next update. It is a relatively new development and is a real money maker for the town.

Thanks and any comments/suggestions/questions are welcomed

flyinbird93- Glad you enjoyed Zug, and hope you come back to this one

moniquetoi-Thanks, Im glad you too find it realistic

    Pontiac

Pontiac is currently home to 55,000 people and is well connected to other cities via rail. It also has alarge amount of forested land within its borders.Pontiac1-1.jpg

Here are the two tallest buildings currently in Pontiac. Both are residential and are located right nest to a train station which is obscured by the buildings.

    Pontiac3.jpg

Here is a newer area of apartments. It is served by trolleys which carry the residents to anywhere they wish to go.

    Pontiac4.jpg

    Pontiac Elementary.

    Pontiac5.jpg

Here is a shot of the canal that goes through town. The water front is not very attractive, but plans are under way to construct some parks to beautify the waterfront.

Just to let everyone know, you can click on any of the images to get a full sized image (1280x800) I figure I should mention this. 4.gif

    Waterfront

Welcome to Scranton, located along Keweenaw's beautiful waterfront. This is a small town that offers great shopping and scenic views. First to to the marina. Here is where many residents store their boats, at least the larger ones.

    Scranton1.jpg

Here are some homes near the waterfront. The price on these homes can easily reach 1 million simoleans, due to the water front location and the commercial districts.

    Scranton3.jpg

Here is a boardwalk we have the connects a small island to the mainland. The Pier House is a popular gift shop, and visitors can enjoy the forest on the island. Also in this picture you can see a lost ferry, it is nowhere near where it should be.

    Scranton2.jpg

Here is a preview from the area that will be in the next update.

    Greenville1.jpg

Thanks for looking, and any questions/comments/suggestions are welcome.

    Replies-

Hawkeye9- Thanks, that boardwalk is a massive improvement over what I originally tried(default Maxis beach). PEG has some great stuff.

Shaylan221- Thank you, I aim to have a great rail system and make the sims use it.

Wishfulanthony- Thanks alot, and I do try to aim for variety in transit, seems to work to get the sims to use it.

    Update7: Greenville Rising

Here is the central station in Greenville's CBD. all trains enter it underground, and there are stations near by to get on the ICE and normal trains. The largest muesum in the City is next to it, along with a large park area and other areas of interest. The main library and an elementary school are visible in the bottom left corner.
    Greenville1.jpg

    Some commercial/residential buildings

    Greenville3.jpg

The areas below are near the main station and have a mix of commercial and residential buildings. It is well served by heavy rail and subways which make travel a breeze. Two ponds have been built here along with a large statue to memorialize the mayor of the city,

    Greenville2.jpg

    Greenville4.jpg

Any comments/suggestions/questions are welcome. Have a good day and thanks for looking.
