What an update indeed! The nice richland in skinner was very well done. Atlas has grown quite a bit and is looking like a great city. ( It would be smart for that store though, to sell those apples)

But my Favorite has to be three town in this update. The Spring park was a great idea and looks beautifull! Good thing they concered to leaveing the rest of the mountain, as it looks much better as a reservation. All and all, Great Update! I'm looking forward for more in the future.44.gif

Most appreciated comments folks, really. Nice of you all to leave a note.

Charles Rodulfo, that was a comment, no need to bring me a big story Charles.  Just dropping and letting me know is to me worth and encouraging.

jacqulina, I knew that you would like the country and farmsides of this area....lol. Thanks.

    Peng74, thanks a lot , very encouraging.

Rayden, there are small signs all over the rails on that ship to keep the hands off while traveling under bridges....lol

FlyingFreeze2.Thanks a lot for the comment and dropping once in awhile.

I couldn't help, but I already started last night to make the next update, even if I wanted to take a small break. The next on will be about the City itself, no more landscape, nor farms.....lol....but a lot of cement, asphalt and buildings. See you all soon.

Well I'm a little late on my comment but this update needed that I take some time specially for it. That great all around. An history of SC4 custom content can almost be made when comparing the retro pics to the new ones.

I am glad to hear that you all liked my update and also pleased that you left a note while you were here, Voulpiotis, jacqulina, superchad, Charles Rodulfo, purpledaddy, timotheus4, crazychickensc12 and cowcorn.

GMT, these customlots come from my own private Nexis Collection of which I have more than 700 lots by now in my pluginfolder (wait `til you see the ones that I am using in New Saphir....lol)

I know that ship under the bridge looks unreal, but if you had read, it said that it takes a special trained Captain from Uru only to get these ships through the Nexis River. Besides, don't forget, this is Genesis and not Earth......everything is possible here...lol .Thanks for commenting and bringing that up.

Have you all a nice weekend now. 2.gif

I would like to ask you a silly question about this GMT .............47.gif

    How do you explain this?.....lol

    tightfit.jpg

........it must be an Urulian Navigator who took over the command.......

Just kidding, you see, it is even possible on Planet Earth, although their technologies are far from Genesis.

I will be back tomorrow with the White Sands update.........2.gif

A last minute changing decision, I decided to make two updates of the rest of Gloryville's update instead of both in one. Probably a matter of still being tired from the last one....lol. So, here is White Sands for today and Gloryville's downtown will follow soon after.
cowcorn, yes I think that it is the Corynth Pass.

    Gloryville.......................The Endpart 11
    Part D..............White Sands

When Gloryville was founded some 150 years ago, it was done so where the first landing strip on the planet was situated. Some 60 or so years later the City became the Capitol and grew quite a bit grabbing more and more space for residential and commercial zones. It was then decided to move the airport to somewhere nearby ,but still far enough not to hear all that noise coming from the planes. The Island in White Sands was ideal for this and so it was decided exactly 82 years ago.
Of course the smaller island was too small and some filling and enlarging had to be done, but soon after a few years of bulldozing and filling, it reached the size needed and airport construction was finally beginning.

    1WhiteSands-retro1.jpg

    2WhiteSands-retro2.jpg

Today, 50 years and more after the construction of the airport, the township of White Sands has changed a lot. New islands appeared and the sea was filled at some places to create space for either the airport or the town. Before only two small bridges existed for the access to the airport island, and today more bridges were added and they are also larger, plus a tunnel was dug out to convenience the traffic.

    3WhiteSands-view.jpg

The International Airport was another big construction site when it was built, reminding us of all the other monstersites of constructions, such as the Grand Dam, the Prison of Cold Valley, the MacVicar Mines in Coarseville and Unforgiven and the Grand Falls. The Gloryville International Airport is not the biggest on Genesis, a little larger is the Nexis Airport and of course the biggest of them all is the New Saphir International. But both are less busy than the one here in White Sands which covers Axis' and Gloryville's demand.

    4WhiteSands-airport.jpg

New to the public is the big highway bridge over the bay and the tunnels under the water and the landingstrip. Built only two years ago, the bridge today is already one of the busiest of them all. It was built by the Nexis Corporation, Transportation division.

    5WhiteSands-access.jpg

The airport itself didn't changed much in the last 50 years and therefor not much is to tell about it. Of course some renovations and repairs were done accordingly to the laws, but nothing in particular was altered. The main-entrance is the same and the parking also.

    6WhiteSands-Mainhall.jpg

Here's the tunnel entrance/exit that leads to the mainland.

    7WhiteSands-tunnel.jpg

It is not only the airport that can be found in White Sands, but also a great amount of residentials that cover most of the mainland and the big island that leads to Oxalis/Megantic. White Sands used to be a 100% logging community before as we can see on the first picture (retro) of this update. The logged area grew back with fresh and young trees which show as light green on the regionview. Then some loggers stayed and settled down and in no time, realizing that this place wasn't far from the Capitol and roads made it more accessible, more adventurers moved in and all of sudden the logging was stopped and the town began to grow.
There's actual no highway that leads out of town and into the city, but once you hit the Sandwich Blvd, you'll be heading right into downtown Gloryville in no time.

    8WhiteSands-res.jpg

A last shot of the airport at night to show you that it is the busiest of them all on Genesis.

    9WhiteSands-nite.jpg

Now only one more update of the Gloryville area left, the downtown itself. See you soon. Have a nice weekend now.

    mrbisonm 2.gif

Well, here's a Bonus picture (Teaser) of the upcoming Downtown of Gloryville. Enjoy.

    Gloryville-BonusTeaser.jpg

    2.gif

After the Gloryville's Downtown update, only four more updates will be left (of course these will be in several parts also)...... what should I present you next?

    1. Nexis City, the islands, the City and the region
    2. Farmlands, a little of many farming and country communities all over the region
    3. New Saphir, the Capitol City,
( I think that I will keep this one for the final updates of this CJ since it is a completely new City with many new custom lots and city architecture)
    4. Pharaon, the newest growing city out west.

So, let me know, choose 1, 2, or 4 an leave your comments please.

great update, i did look at the airport and noticed some bottlenecks, i saw that to get on one of the two parrallel runways you had to taxi on the big runway, so with paint i designed a plan to expand the airport, if you want me to i can post it, it moves parking, and hotels, expands the terminal, adds more aprons and taxiways, and lengthens the parrallel runways.
