Well, I'm back, Internet connection died for about two weeks. Well instead of 60% dying almost 100% died, that sucks, several hundred people die in an eartyhquake, Maybe the meteor Opall is generation extra gravity and causin all this.It's possible. Well My oldest son is very active in the buisness now. My daughter is getting married and my yougnest is in college.

I'm hoping to see what happens in the next few years on Uru and Genesis. It's come so far since they first settled Genesis.

Wow, a lot of posts since I was here last. Right now I am on vacation somewhere in beautiful NZ and enjoying the very warm weather here, while in my hometown it is -30 C, they say......brrrrrrr..... ( maybe cowcorn can confirm this, he is a close neighbor of me). I'll be back to my home computer to make a nice update in the middle of next week, and then we'll continue the saga with some new townships and  new Nexis Bats/lots, but also see the bigger Cities , such as Nexis City and Gloryville.

 

Thanks for all the positive comments and if you enjoy the story and pictures, so will I writing it.

Here are some news from Genesis:

Axis South has  a new mayor and Rico Az was promissed to have a statue in his name for all to remember his years of mayorship. As we know he is on Uru working on a great documentary film at this moment.

Joao Otavio is about to figure out the idea of Vatt, to land safely on Opall and the first experimentation with robot vessel will start in a week or so. He is still in one of the vessels in Opall's Orbit.

Jadis Nexis (son of Troy Nexis, and Sarah MacVicar,daughter of Alexander MacVicar had their first baby this week, a girl with the name of Amy Nexis.Alexander MacVicar is proud to be grandfather, he announced.

Wow, very much awesomeness, now temperaily back from RLS, IU come to see a whole bunch happening, so sad to hear of the ppl dying, but that happens. Just love Axis South, and wow, I'm 5 already!!!! There will be an update on the day when I return from vacation,meaning on wednesday/thursday.
We will have a look at Axis City and its changes, plus the new HQ of the Sirius Group that Brett finally got done. The tallest ,most modern and biggest building on Genesis,and that for quite awhile I guess. Although nothing much has changed in Axis City and not many citizens have moved in because of the high taxes, it looks different somehow. Brett and other Commercial Companies have built a few Hi-Risers,and it looks now as it has a real downtown, almost as Axis South.
People prefer to move to Nexis City, Gloryville ,Axis South or the other surrounding townships,which we will visit after Axis City. These smaller towns ,like Round Lake Junction,Grand Dam and Axis Harbour,have a lot of potential to grow out of their limits than the City of Axis City.

Now, in the next two weeks, we will visit almost every other township and county, that we haven't been yet. There will be some happenings in between, like:
-Joao Otavio is planning a second landing attempt on Opall...(ouff,will he make it this time?)
-the safe return of Evermind to her family..
-someone we know well died from a poisonous snake bite..(Aie)
-some minor earth quakes again in Coarseville, but also in Black Lake now..(?)
-finally found out who that first citizen of Skinner is..
-after three months being lost in Grand Falls, the two scientist were found in the Ganoga Lake area, far from home and in top shape, and they have made some interesting finds..
-plus some nice and new Nexis BATs especially made for this CJ

All this and more...starting on Thursday this week!

Shadow_Assassin, I suppose that there will be somewhat of a competition with your character and Tim. -Opall is planned to hit Uru in approx 36 years, if it is on schedule.I mentioned it not so long ago.

sven 900, you are still one of the youngest of the first generation and probably(?) one of the last that will pass away.

Well, I am back from vacation and had a great time.

Now let's get to business right away, we have a lot of places to visit and many things to see in the next week.
To start off with , we will hit Axis City right now and see what happened there in the last four years.

Not growing as expected by many of you, Axis City has almost come to a stand-still, when it comes to surface expansions.Although it looks bigger, its population is much lower than the other Cities.
It has dropped from second place (even first place at one time) to the fourth place, right after South Axis.

Celebrities: CEO of the Sirius Group, Studi MacLore
Companies and Landmarks: The Canal System...The Sirius Group HQ...The Tiel Oil HQ... Regional Insurance Company... Former Vatt's Laboratory...Main Central Train Station...The Sirius Bank...Razor Blade Logging Industries HQ...Historical Covered bridge...Hawklyn Shopping Mall...Low-Sound Highway system...Wren Electronics first store...and the first store of Henry Zeddicton Computer Solutions.
Jobs: 169,970 mostly commercial.

 The only thing moving and growing is the Downtown area, and this only with the largest Companies and Corporations around. This is the Home of Tiel Oil Ltd, The Regional Insurance Company, the HQ of the Razor Blade Logging Industries, the famous and rich Sirius Bank and now the downtown welcomes the most outragious building of them all, the Sirius Group Head Quarters, which finally moved to Genesis from Uru. This is the tallest building on the planet with more than 7000 people soon working in it.It was built where once the Big fire rage happened, many years ago. I haven't talked to Brett, the builder of this Giant , to find out how tall and how many stories. The Hi-Riser just got finished on the outside and many jobs are still to be done in the inside. It is supposed to contain the biggest kitchen ever built, that will hire 165 full-time Cooks.....just imagine.
Standing right in the middle of Axis City's Downtown, it can easily be seen from the heights of Grand Dam and even the upper part of the Three Tower's county. It is an ultra modern Giant, which has its own underground parking that can hold 3500 vehicules.
Now that the Sirius Group is almost installed on Genesis, they are already talking about an undergound transportation system that will even connect itself with the southern Neighbor of Axis South. Plans are being made already and this will be another big project, just like the Dam in Grand Dam City. Entirely financed by the Sirius Group, it will give jobs to more than 5000 workers for the next 6 years, the time it will take to finalize the project.-- We will look at this construction once in awhile and follow its development very closely.

From a different view of this City , we see another hi-Riser almost finished and just beside the Central Train Station. This building was built by the competitor of Brett and no one knows who it belongs to or what it will hold. Almost a mistery, the only thing they say is that it comes from Uru also. On this picture also we can see the Highway intersection with its surrounding Sound-proof parks that Miss Elizabeth White built in her first years.

When we go east and cross the famous Canals, we end up in the Industrial Park of Axis, much bigger than the one in Gloryville and Nexis City, but smaller than the Cedar Bay one, the Capitol City of Industries nowadays. Most of the manufacturing industries cannot survive here because of the overtaxed land, but Hi-Tech industries find a home here, more than in the other surrounding Townships.

Yes, the canals that put the City in so much debt, and these are well known on Genesis. It draws a lot of Tourists to these parts. These canals are directly connected with the Axis Harbour and from there one can easily move into the seas of Eastern Genesis.

Not far from the Center of Downtown and just over Highway 1 is the Central Train Station of Genesis. From here all the connections to every part on the planet can be made. It has a bussing system that leads into the Center of downtown and to other busy places.

The Sirius Group, so much waited for since quite some time now, finally settled in. Only some minor interior finishes are to be concluded. Brett, the official Builder of this Giant, made a fortune with this contract in the last two years. He had approximately 2700 workers of all sorts on the job all the time. After he finished the outside and the most important parts of the inside, he told the press that this was his last job of this immensity, talking about the headaches that he had just to figure out to make this Monster stand alone solidly.
This is the Main entrance of the Mega-Corporation. We are even lucky also to see the CEO himself at this moment,Mr Studi MacLore. He just arrived from Uru with his family and about 700 of his *Office Ties*(officeworkers) that will soon move in to get thing started here on Genesis.
This building has a Restaurant that can serve 2500 people at the same time, an underground garage that holds more than 3500 cars,a health institution, its own Security Office and much more. You can even rent a room here to get a good sleep, completely soundproof.
In front of the lot (right side) is the statue of the Founder of the Sirius Group,that has been shipped directly from Uru.

The Hawklyn Shopping Mall in Axis City, that Adley Hawklyn form former West Axis (now Hawlyn Valley) bought from Sven many years ago, is the most visted place in the City. People from Axis South, Axis Harbour, Grand Dam and many other smaller communities  come here to satify their needs of first class merchandises of all kinds. This Mall contains also the biggest Food Store on Genesis,everything produced by the Hawklyn Valley Farms. Other stores have been rented to other Companies. Mr Hawklyn is planning in the future to have the Mall enlarged and the samller shops in front of the Mall have already been lately purchased. These will be demolished.

Not too far form the Shopping Mall are these Appartments , only lately added to the City. They belong to Sven, who couldn't resist to come back to Axis City and own at least something here. Housing is not in demand and many appartment blocks and homes are abandonned, but Sven keeps a good pricing on his rents and I wonder, if he makes any money with it, (or maybe he knows something about Axis City that we don't).

Taxes for residential lots are at 15,17 and 19% and commercial are at 12,15 and 19%, plus the industrial area is all at 17%. The reason is simple: The City is so much in debts that it needs these high taxes as a minimum only to survive. The Gaburan Ambassador Ciroyon and former Mayor didn't really do anything to get this city out of its financial misery, but instead kept on spending money for useless things. When you look around, this City has the most parks and recreation areas any City can hold,these were expensive to build.

Other housing nearby are the MacVicar Appartments, owned by Alexander MacVicar from the Genesis Standard Mines in Coarseville, for the so called *High Society*. These Appartment Deluxe Duplexes are of the most modern available and every Duplex has its own computer that controls the entire living space. These were built in the richer part of the City in the northwest.

Again , and also in the northwest part of the City, is the old cathedral which was built here with expectation that once this part will be surrouded with residential buildings, but nothing has been added in the last twenty or so years. Maybe , one of these days....

The first bridge in Axis City was this old covered bridge in the northern sector. Now it is considered as a historical site by the new City administration and soon it will be closed for the regular traffic for only the tourists may visit. A new and larger bridge will be constructed just beside it to cover the needs of transportations in these parts of the City.
