Hello to you all!

Before I say anything more I fell obligated to say that I am very deeply sorry for my second sudden dissaperance from Simtropolis. It was not planned nor wanted nor wished upon. I was sure that I will be able to finish the prevoius CJ but the misery of “real world” striked at me with all the strenght. To those who know me and to those who might carry with them that good human quality (one of not so many) that brought us to the stage of developtement at wich we are now, curiosity I need to tell that as first I planned to move across the ocean (literary) and therefore I would be away for a month or two because of that BUT it did not come to be. Allas, I did moved from my previous location, then before the New Year of 2008 something happened that made me rethink my life and such and basicaly my life changed drasticaly, or better, my mentality changed, my way of looking at people changed and such. Anyhow, the “recovering” was hard but possible.

So now I am here again and hopefully this time nothing will interrupt my staying here.

In the months when there was no word from me, I must say, I did not “waste my time”. What the heck that means? Well, I was working on a planet that I called Skyhope. Yes, you heard me right, not a region, a planet! As second, I made a nice noumber of bats for SC4 that I shall share with you, of course.

Without futher addo, I present to you, my brand new shiney CJ!

SKYHOPE the CJ, by Narya

THE INTRO

Very basic information about what to expect of this CJ:

  1. As said before, Skyhope is a planet. Basicaly that means that it is divided between few regions (the final count shall be found at the end of this CJ), meaning that it shall be a long one.

  2. The first region that will be presented to you is Skyhope Springs.

  3. This is the place where you will be able to see the bats and lots made by me before I will upload them to STEX.

  4. A mayority of this CJ will be eyecandy featuring edited pictures from the game, slideshows and maybe animations.

  5. For those who dont just like to look but also like to read I have a story, or better a collection of stories that will be collected under the name of Skyhope.

  6. At some points, this CJ will be interactive, meaning that there shall be different rewards given out as getting your own parcel in towns, naming different things after you etc. One of maybe the nicest ones will definetly be the fact that I will make a special bat on ocasions that will be named after you and you will be able to get your hands on it before the others or in some casess you will be the only one (beside me) to posses it.

Enaugh of chit-chatt. After a handfull of words I need to sort few things before this CJ can officialy start (later tonight/early in the morning). I bid farwell until that special time and give you 3 sample pictures as a teaser and first glimps of what to expect.

Hi, Narya, welcome back.

There is some sort of forum bug that messes up links, so as you can see by now, they aren't opening up your full size pics.  You can fix the links by editing the post, using the Edit/Insert Link button again, and putting the address back in the URL window again by pasting or typing it in.  For some reason, when you do this again, the links usually seem to work then.

From what I can see it looks great.  Good luck with your project.

Bye for now.

So.. here we are! The official opening of Skyhope journal.

The things will happend as following:

1st you shall be able to read the very first chapter of Skyhope story, next you shall see the very first small town located in Skyhope Springs and last I shall make some replays to those who already visited and were so nice to leave comments and sugestions.

    novelchap01ne2.jpg

The moon slowly arisen and added silver incandescence to the mist covering the land. The woodland, full with eerie shadows, murmured to the stars upon in mysterious language from the ages long forgotten. There, deep between the trees, something stirred the stillness of the air, small red fox jumped from the bushes to catch her meal. At same time, not so far away, old owl screeched. A figure dressed in white silk was laying on cold grounds, hardly moving its chest while breathing shallowly. `Twas laying there stiff until the breeze moved long dark hair away from its porcelain face, revealing deep dark eyes and blood red lips. Strange sight of contrast cloaked in fog, unnatural to forests greens and browns, yellows and reds. She stood up and gazed around in uttermost confusion. Not knowing where she is and how she got there, the woman walked away. Few hours passed without her knowing where to go, stumbling over the stones and roots, before she passed down by the edge of the road, her foots covered in blood dripping from deep wounds in soft flesh.

Two lights in distance were coming closer and passed until the sudden stop. A man opened the doors of the car and came out with caution, resting his right hand close to his belt where silver shine revealed the gun. He walked toward the body, his eyes looking around for possible threats, but nothing happened. He seized her wrist and hold it until he felt the beat of heart, then he turned her around and stood there for a second stunned by her peculiar beauty before he noticed her hurt foots. He ran to the car, asked dispatch to send the ambulance wan to road B-27, a mile after the bridge, saying he found unconscious female between 25 to 30, bleeding on the ground. After he got confirmation on his request he opened the trunk of the car and took out the blanket to cover the female in.

Not long after, the ambulance wan came, picked her up after giving her a quick examination on the site and basic treatment of her wounds.

Please tell the doctors to notify me when she wakes up and is strong enough to answer few questions, will you. I´m detective Dragonhart, ” said the man who found the woman before they took off.

    We shall, they answered.

    ***

In the morning Jean-Luc Dragonhart walked in to the room where the woman that he found around the midnight was sitting up in her bed, looking unnaturally pale.

Good Morning, “ he said and she nodded in replay.

May I sit, Miss,” he asked.

Again she nodded in respond not moving her gaze from tall man in her room with honest curiosity.

I'm detective Dragonhart,” he began while moving the chair closer to the bed, “You were probably already informed about unusual circumstances that I found you in, right,” he asked and yet again she only nodded.

I hope, you wont be insulted by me for asking... if you are able to talk for I was not informed of... ,” before he could finish the sentence she gave him yet again just a nod.

OK then...,” he said unsure : “ I need to ask you few questions, so please answer to them to your best, will you?”

And yet again the only response he got from her was a nod.

Fine, “ he pulled a notebook and a pencil from his jacket :” lets begin then. First I would like to know your name, date of birth and address please,” he continued.

A woman uncomfortably stirred, looking into the floor in confusion: “My...,” silently and with trouble she started: “ my... name... is... my name... is... is... my name is...,” suddenly he looked up straight into him, fear and confusion dancing violently in her eyes, hers already pale skin became white like snow, she grabbed her head with both hands and whispered silently: “I don´t know... I´m sorry... I don´t know...”

It is OK, please, calm down miss...” he tried to calm her down for he believed her from some reason unknown.

Do you remember what happened to you, perhaps,” he asked in hope to learn at least that.

She remained silent for a while, obviously thinking, trying hard to remember, before she answered in fear: “I... don´t remember...” and then she burst into tears.

The nurse came running into room, grabbing the injection with sedative calling to detective: “That will be quite enough for now, mister. Please leave and return later.”

Few minutes later Jane Doe, as they called her, was sleeping.

    ***

Jean-Luc returned to his office, wondering where to start the search of the lost identity.

So, Jean-Luc, did you found out anything about the lass,” James Wattenberg, his co-worker, asked.

No, she does not remember anything, not even her name,” he said back.

My friend, who works at hospital said that she is darn good looking and would not think twice before stripping he naked,” James laugh.

Jean-Luc gave him a hard look and with annoyed voice replayed: “This is serious matter, James!”

Oh, come on, Jean-Luc, I was just kidding a bit, but seriously, I heard she is good looking,” James calmly responded and gave him a curious look.

I would not know,” was the short response to provocative sounding question of detective Wattenberg. James nodded with obvious disappointment.

Jean-Luc pulled the chair out and settled before his working desk and tried to figure where to start. After 30 minutes of drinking stall coffee and continuously seeing her face before his eyes he decided to search true the missing person informations. He turned on his computer and hours were passing.

After a whole day of looking at faces of people he did not found anything. Her face was not on the file, so he turned off the computer and decided to take few hours brake. He needed some sleep, for he was awake for nearly two days. He stood up, pushed the papers on desk into the drawer and went home.

    TO BE CONTINUED...

    skyhopespringswq0.jpg

As I said at very begining of this thread, the Skyhope is a planet and therefor it has different regions. The very first region that we shall be exploring together is named Skyhope Springs, a region of peacefull bliss that is surrounding some very buisy towns, region with lakes, rivers, waterfalls, hills and mountains.

Some people here try to live as close to nature as possible and others try to polute it as much as they can. Sounds familiar?

Today we shall wisit a small town located at the foot of Whitehight mountain, a town where people lack in education and build dirty industry amist the trees. Lets hope that with the passage of the time they will learn to do better...

I warn you tho... some time has passed since my last journal, so I am a bit rusty...

    whitehightsio0.jpg

The people of Whitehight are peaceful and charming ones, a simple people as scholar Whitebeard said in his study of Whitehightevians. There is nothing realy special to say about them besides the fact that they work for 3 days per week, sleep for 2 days per week and what is left they use for mountain-climbing wich they are very good at. From 10 people that climb on the mountain at least 3 come down without a scratch, 1 with broken leg, 1 gets lost for ever and only 5 people die while trying to get on the top. We should point out that in whole history of Whitehight there were 5 people that actualy reached the top of the mountain. Sadly to say that only one came back town to tell the story about the climbing and he claimes still that other four changed to ice-statues at the top. If that is true or not nobody can confirm but if you wish to learn then I suggest you come to Whitehight and go to the top. The Truth Is Out There!

So here are the pictures of Whitehight, taken by Whitehight Daily paper photografer Mr. Don Dunat Dunkings, famous for his daily photos of chickens:

    whitehight01ws9.jpg

For the end of todays picture-album we are obligated to present one photography made by out D.D.D wich provided us with the selection of photographies of Whitehight (well... actualy, to be honest, it was his demand that we show you the following picture otherways we would have nothing to show you at all...):

    crazychickenxp3.jpg

So, we are almost at the end... but not yet! There is one more thing we need to mention about the Whitehight.

If you ever decide to visit the fair Whitehight then it is obligatory to learn the dance moves of native people. Why is it important? Well, it is quite simple in fact. There is a special custom, here at Whitehights, that they greet each other and wish a good day with these dance moves. If you fail to do so you are in realy bad luck for the local police shall pick you up and you shall be put to rest (litterary).

So here is a quick "guid" from wich you can learn:

1st do 3 times "yellow chicken" followed by 2 times "crazy chicken", then 1 time "yellow" and 5 times "crazy" and at last 1 time "yellow" and 10 times "crazy".

    advancedyi6.jpg

So we came to the end... The update shall be posted sometime next week but I might surprise you with some bonus things in the meanwhile. I hope you enjoyed the tour. All the comments are much apreciated!

Hey there Liv! Thank you very much! Oh, I didnt know about the bug. Anyhow, I wanted to post these small images and without linking to other sites of course. The problem was that imageshack is working a bit different as it was when I last uploaded the things so I somehow liked to these without thinking of external linking. I shall fix it soon, thank you. Hope to see you here again!

    blue sinjid:

Hi there and thank you! Yes, I was planning to do that. I never linked to the offsites in past, but thank you for the advice. Hope to see you here again!

Y'know, I was tempted to pass through without a comment, but with R. Lee Ermey screaming in my ear I must tell you that your quaint little town looks very inviting, so long as I stay away from the industrial sector2.gif
