I don´t no what heapenead, my Mayor rating started to goes down and stoped at 22. 70% of my city say that i´m a bad mayor. But they don´t say what is wrong. Education is perfect, hospitals are 100 green, police and fire are perfect, trafic is good, jobs are good too.....i don´t know what heapenead. Is it a game bug? Is there a cheat to raise mayor rating?

All I can suggest to you now is to read other successful city journals. ( Grown ones, not just plopped ones. ) do that in detail and read the posts.. It will help out a lot. Provide pictures too.

-Vin

Or do like I do and use every known cheat there is. LOL

What about garbage? What about taxes? Has your population grown or risen? Without more details, especially pictures of your graphs or the city itself, it's quite difficult to properly help you with your problem. Give us a bit more and we'll rush to your aid!

How about the custom content you downloaded from the Stex and from other exchanges? Some bats have very wrong stats and are able to destroy your city.

Garbage is a possible culprit. It's very easy to forget to check the graph, which is often the only way you'll know it's becoming a problem - there are no zots or other visual cues, except maybe a news message... if that. If it gets really out of hand, and you look closely enough, you might see actually see it piled up around the city, but even that's not easy to spot, especially if you have a lot of highrises.

Another idea is to check your mayor rating data view (not the graph). The overall mayor rating for the city is only a city-wide average; the real thing is in computed per-lot. It's very possible your city as a whole is fine, but one or two areas are having a serious issue, causing a major drop in the local mayor rating, and dropping that city-wide average.

I started a post about this, but if garbage is the problem, reserve one whole tile of your region for garbage collection.  Then connect to your other cities and transport all of your garbage to the one tile.  Sims love clean cities!!!  It has worked successfully for me!!

I love to put my prisons, jails and cemetaries in the garbage tile too!!  16.gif

There is a visual clue for too much garbage.  If you zoom to level 5 or 6 you can see garbage piled in the street, on lots,  in parks, just about anywhere.  Garbage pile up first affects your mayor rating, then your property values and finally your sims health.  You need to get rid of it, fast!!

    what?? weird,

I have a terribly polluted heavy industry horrible city of about 100,000 people (90% 1$-s) without education, with 1 police station, no health at all, no schools, no garbage zones, horrible place, and mayor rating is still about 40-50

Theres a mod called the "radical ordinance mod" that lets you buy your mayor rating , I hope I get the link to work... if not you can find it in the top 50 mods menu.

uhh... sorry, it may be 9 months later(late june, 09.) , but I saw this without a link, and tried to look for it.(I couldnt' find it anymore, strange because I didn't know that you could delete files.)

I thought I had posted a link, sorry.

I hope the link worked , again its in the top 50 mods menu.

If all of the above info still hasn't worked for you, there's one more thing I know of that you can try:

Activate the god-mode tree "painter" and go to work.   Plant trees everywhere you can!

Note:  This is an easy way to make your developed city look terrible.   Make sure your graphics are set to full (ie: so you can see parking lines and cars in parking lots) and go to work.  If the graphics are turned all the way down, it seems that trees will fill up every square inch of the little grey blobs that are supposed to be parking lots.   It doesn't seem to do that with the graphics set high though...

In any case, when time rolls over to the next month, you should see a significant increase in your MR (assuming you haven't already planted tonnes of trees)...

If it's a residential neighborhood that's becoming rough, move a My Sim into it and pay attention to what he says..
