The level of detail in this CJ is incredible! I particularly like the road leading up to the paliament. The building itself is genius, with the diagonal parks and roads making the illusion of it being on a diagonal lot. Brilliant...

The seawalls and building selction are top notch too. May I ask what you used for those seawalls?

The seawalls i think on page two are the JS Seawalls, i think their on ST.

Basically there are three kinds of walls i use, the JS seawalls, the Mas71 walls, and oh wait thats two, ummm sometimes I use the RBP from http://sc4ss.web.fc2.com/, i think thats the website, lol so many unknowns. Oh right and that makes three.

By the way Im going away for a bit, dont know when I'll be back. Same with all my other CJ's im not consistent in my postings. But I may see you all in a Tokyo CJ that I am re-working on.

nah, thanks anyways, I already have different water mods, but for some reason, or actually precisely for that reason, their all screwing up. Basically i have like 3 or 4 water mods that are trying to work all at the same time, causing this. So i have no idea which water mod this is, and im trying to get the clipper one, i guess its also from PLEX as well, oh well im too lazy to sort out stuff.

so i decided to move all the Kalina stuff to the Ezo page. I tried to splice everything into two pages to lighten the load of the page, but to no avail, and finally reaching 60 with this comment, and i intend to make a 61st page to make the third page, this is just a time waster, do no read it, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars, go straight to jail, that is all.

    ...oh wait...

    welcome to page three

    Kalina: San Marco Park

Heres the foot bridge that connects San Marco with Neo Venezia

    DSC00096.jpg

Heres more of the Neo Venezia side

    DSC00097.jpg

    ...and more...

    DSC00098.jpg

... and more..., as you can see the Atlantis Expressway runs right through Neo Venezia.

    DSC00099.jpg

Heres a bit of San Marco island

    DSC00100.jpg

    and some more San Marco

    DSC00111.jpg

    DSC00112.jpg

    and yes more San Marco

    DSC00101.jpg

This is actually not part of the San Marco Seaside Park, this is Kaguya Park, located in the Government District. If you have read my other CJ, Ezo, which has connections with Kalina, you will know who and what Kaguya was.

The city of Kalina, an urban sprawl that spreads across the sea from the coast of Ezo. A city with a particularly long history, yet at the same time a city that refuses to be forgotten deep in the waves of time. The city has undergone rapid development in recent years, its many manmade islands have become the center of the global economy and politics.

    Welcome to Kalina

    DSC00013-1.jpg

If you are arriving from the mainland via the Kaiyou Line, you will arrive at Kalina Central Station on the island district of Neo Venezia. When you arrive at Kalina Central you will see that the buildings surrouding the station is very much modern, while the station itself seems to have been lost in time. Much of the Neo Venezia district is a puzzle of old and new structures.

    DSC00014-1.jpg

The Atlantis Express-Way links the Neo Venezia district with the mainland and several other islands surrounding the Neo Venezia district.

    DSC00016-1.jpg

Much of Kalina's electricity comes from wind power. The city has invested a great deal in clean re-usable energy. This area of the Neo Venezia district is home to a rather sketchy seafront (Area by the wind turbines). This area is just east of Kalina Central Station, and is just on the other side of Kaizer Avenue. The express-way running at the bottom right is the Atlantis express-way, and the Express-way running through the island is the Neo Venezia Loop Express; much of which is underground.

    DSC00017-1.jpg

    Kaioh

Kalina Special Autonomous Province of the Empire of Ezo

    Kaioh District

    &

Rialto District of the Neo Venezia Greater Metropolitan Area

    14848f93.jpg

Welcome to Kaioh, the gateway to Ezo, the link between Ezo Proper, and the Special Autonomous Province of Kalina. The meaning of the name of the city is "King of the Sea." Although its name suggests a Japanese ethnic majority, the city is a unique blend of Kalina culture and that of rest of Ezo, which is predominantely Japanese. In contrary to the name of the city, much of the cities archetecture is European.

    DSC00174.jpg

This is considered the central district of Kaioh. Of course due to Ezo's harsh coast-line Kaioh spreads across several miles of coast-line, with no definete city center. Most of Kaioh citizens commute to Neo Venezia, which is a sprawling metropolis. The river above is the Nakaminetsu-gawa (river). Due to its restricting valley, and melt water from the snow capped mountains of inner-Ezo, the river was known for its violent floods during the late spring and early summer months. The river was once a violent uncontrolled river, but today with the help of a series of dams and water gates the river is heavily under human control; as you can see.

    DSC00183.jpg

Further up-stream a series of dams help control water flow, and keep the Kaioh city center safe from floods.

    DSC00184.jpg

The city center (right), with Kaioh Central Station.

    DSC00181.jpg

    More of the city center.

    DSC00185.jpg

A view from the mountain side.

    DSC00179.jpg

You may also have noticed that Kaioh Station is... well... I dont want to say crappy, lets call it rustic. The Kaioh station is a relic from before there were dams and dikes to protect the city from the Nakaminetsu-gawa. As you can see there are no large buildings and the parking lot is just dirt. This was mainly due to the fact that whenever the river flooded any station that was built would simply be washed away or damaged beyond use. Thus the Imperial Rail Ministry attempted to build the entire stretch of the seaside railway on higher ground or on dikes, however, this proved to costly. But the area was vital for sea connections with the rest of ezo and also for the Kalina artificial islands projects, which required massive amounts of material to be transported to the coast from inland by rail. So the rails were built, and a station was also built, but nothing grand, something that was expendable. So the trainstation was originally used for moving raw material, and was mainly a freight station.

Today, the station serves as the Kaioh city center, however it has become outdated. Many commuters hope the IRM would build a new station, but many locals also want to keep the old station as part of their history battling the river. The station is heavily congested and new bus lines, and a possible subway line that would not damage the station above ground is being considered.

    DSC00176.jpg

As you can see the city spreads across the coast line. Often carving itself into the sides of the mountains, or spilling out into the sea. (Upper right leads into Kaioh city center, and lower left the city continues.)

    DSC00175.jpg

Of course tradition always loses to efficiency. (mid right) is the new Kaioh central station. With direct subway links to Neo Venezia Central. Commuters cross the river over into Central Kaioh, and then commute to Neo Venezia.

    DSC00177.jpg

A vital link between Kaioh and the Rialto District. There are no tolls or checkpoints between the province of Kalina, and the rest of Ezo. Although Kalina operates on one set of policies while, the rest of Ezo adheres to the Chuo Policies. Upper Left is part of Rialto Institute of Higher Learning.

    DSC00193.jpg

Although Ishizaka Station is bigger than Kaioh Central station the area around it is not considered the central district of Kaioh for two reasons. One, the area around Ishizaka Station is mainly residential, and there are no major businesses that line the area around the station. Two, people do not commute "to" Ishizaka, they commute "through" Ishizaka. Also its built into the side of a cliff, which leaves no room for new developments. But anyways another bridge the connects Rialto to Kaioh.

    Kalina again...

well this is my 90th post, just ten more to a hundred.

actually this wasnt really an update, more a conglomeration of two CJ's that ive been working on, and since their intertwined in regards to the story im telling, i thought it only rational to put them in the same thread, it was really annoying having to deal with two. So im just gonna put them all together.

Anyways thanks for the replies, and i hope you guys all had time to check out the front page, with the new news article, maps, and the official flag.

ya just started to work with photoshop, im still learning. orz

P.M. me to exchange details on what embassy you want to use. I do request a midrise to skyrise for the building, but if something tips you off it may work 2.gif Ill give you my desired buildings link later this evening 4.gif

by the way if anyone is still wondering how the cloverleafs, intersections, or the diagonal bridges work, basically its mas71's ploppable water at work here. Its really a lot of work to have to plop an entire lake, river, even more an ocean.

But this way you have a lot more freedom over what you can do with your water, and its especially helpful if ur one of those types that like to build artificial coast lines, and etc. The water even allows ferry transit.

However, a lot of the port/ferry structures out there have to be built on part water/part land, so that requires some personal configurations.
