How do you eat chips/crackers?

How do you eat chips/pringles/whatever? Eat them in one bite? Snack on bits of them? Dunk them? With chips I usually eat them in one bite (if you try to snack on portions of them they start to crumble). If it's a plain chip usually I'll dunk it in a little dip. With crackers I like to dunk them into a ton of dip then eat it whole.

Bizarre...

I think you mean crisps... lol.

I eat them differently. If i'm hungry i'll eat them 6 or 7 at a time, if not then usually one at a time in one bite. If they're salt & vinegar crisps however, i'll usually lick the flavouring off first, then devour the thing.

Lays are mostly regular sized bites already.

ewww, licking flavorings off the chips makes them all soggy.

If you can't decipher what it means maybe you should read the post itself?

Depends on what type of chips.

Potato i eat one at a time or  smushed up on  a sandwich.

Corn chips have to have Salsa.

between 1 and 3 bites depending on chip size and crunch factor.

I admit I double dip in shared dip situations...

To you, perhaps. What the British call "crisps", we Americans call "chips". What the British call, "chips", we know as "french fries" (or just "fries").

To Italians, the former are "patatine" (literally, "little potatoes"), and the latter are "patate fritte" (literally, "fried potatoes").

What you call things often varies with what part of the world you're from.

Anyways, I, gavone that I am, tend to eat potato chips by grabbing a bunch of them and shoving them in my mouth all at once (well, depends on the size, bigger chips usually go in one by one). I don't dip them in anything. And they're just regular salted chips, no sour cream & onion, salt and vinegar, or other such crap. My preferred brand is Utz (not that you asked, but it's relelvant).

As for crackers, well, I can't claim to be a frequent cracker eater, but there are idiosynchrosies there. Ritz crackers (been a while since I've had any of those) I eat one by one, salty side (that is, top side) down. No putting anything on them, just the crackers.

Graham crackers (or "Nabisco Grahams", as they're technically called) come perforated into quarters but they never break evenly and so I just bite pieces off with them whole.

And no, I don't ever eat them as part of smores. Because marshmallows taste disgusting, burnt or not.

My favorite cracker, however, will always be the Freeze Cracker:

    I eat chips.

I first put it on my tounge. Then, I collapse the roof of my mouth. This crunches the chip, and now I have saved myself %68.2 of time chewing. Then I chew the rest of the chip and swallow. The whole process takes about 3 seconds. 3.gif

As for plain tortilla chips, I get the chip then load it with salsa. I try to get huge chunks of tomatoes and sauce onto the chip (I try to avoid the light, watery substance on top). Then devour.

Some insight into my eating habits... lol

Depends on the kind of chip or cracker.

Doritos: I devour them like a rabid lion, and then obsessively wash my hands afterwords to avoid getting cheesy/cooler ranch/etc stuff all over everything.

Pringles: Sometimes I eat 2 or 3 at a time, because I like the extra crunch.

Potato Chips: Blegh. I only eat Lay's Baked Potato Chips, the normal kind are too greasy and salty.

Barbeque Lay's: I bite in small bites since the flavor is more pungent.

    Tortilla chips: Lots. of. Cheese.

I also eat crackers (Ritz, Triscuit, Wheat Thins, etc) but I don't want to bore you into a coma. 3.gif

Hmm... having given it some thought, there's two things I think it might be.

    1) The word "gavone".

"Gavone" is not a derogatory term. It is an Italian colloquialism that is usually used to mean someone who eats a lot, but in some cases can be used to mean someone who is gullible.

    Either way, it's not racist.

    2) The mention of the "Freeze Cracker".

While someone who has never seen it before might look at those words and think of them being yelled at a white person by a black person in a confrontational manner (which wouldn't be "racist" per se, but still in poor taste), that is not at all hat's going on here.

The image there is sprites from Megaman 7, of Megaman using the weapon he obtains from beating Freeze Man - the Freeze Cracker. Because, you know, it freezes things and it cracks (as in, breaks into smaller bits). Obviously in Japan where the game originated there was no potential racial connotation to the name.

But in any case, if that bothers you, don't complain to me, complain to Capcom
