Yeah, it was quite sad and amazing on how big of an impact it did. Thank god, I was in downtown viewing it from the hotel and not in Wilson and Dufferin area (Near Yorkdale Mall).

It wasn't a good weekend in Canada's big cities; propane explosian in Toronto and riots in Montreal! All we need is an earthquake in Vancouver to make 3.

    Holy Moly !

I watched someof the other vidios.

    one Comment:

How can you watch a vidio of something like this

and post comments about what a bad nation canada is?

I was going  to quote one of them but decided not to.

Read curse laden posts or not

BTW: Again nothing on CNN about this.

It's all over Toronto Star and the Toronto Sun now.

Now, people are able to go back to there homes right now. But there has been alot of damage caused.

And the comments on the video are quite huge.

And also CNN doesn't cover Worldwide news just nationwide news.

    Whoah!!!

I'm guessing this was a "BLEVE" type explosion where the heated gas boiled over inside it's container then rupturing it? A long time ago in the Houston suburbs there was a train derailment that ended with a mushroom cloud and that was the final determination.

Saw the explosion myself. I was up quite late that night. It was a speck in the distance, but plainly visible.

They should never, ever have built such a facility in a residential neighborhood. The residents are pissed, as well they should be.

I agree with Ian. With a huge explosion like that, you would think that it wiped out the whole block... luckily, it didn't. Even so, I also don't understand why a facility like that would be located so close to homes and even a park.

    Wow...That's a big explosion.

Well, that's what happens when you put so much propane in one place.

I saw it on youtube. And my oh my, THAT WAS HUGE!!!!!!! I mean that mushroom cloud after that explosion I can tell that the people felt the shockwave. Now that is scary. Even more scary is that the fact that my house is located about 1.5 miles from a big 5 acre propane and hydrogen storage facatility.
