The town of St. John was established in the year 2000AD. After the Y2K scare, a group of enterprising pioneers decided to give up the hustle and bustle of the big city in order to live off the land, and return to a simpler time. Only history will tell whether their plan would work out or not, so grab a chair and enjoy the tale.

The story begins as our pioneers make their way through a wide river valley between the hills.

They eventually arrived at the confluence of two rivers and decided that the land would be fertile enough here for them to start their farming community.

Stay tuned as our pioneers will have to build houses and roads, plant fields, and give names to the major geographic and topographic areas of the region

Get a terrain modd, and close your menu when you take a picture (click the little box on the left bottom corner, and use Ctrl+Shift+S to take a snapshot). Looks nice!

Its a nice region! I would really recommend to take out the menu and the pause line. When youtake your pic, unpause your game, and take out the menu by clicking on the little rectangle on the bottom left edge

Thanks for the tips. Sadly, it was a bit too late for the next set of pics, but i will take your advice in the future.

The story continues on the shores of Elgin River. The Inhabitants of St. John have named the rivers and the land masses while building a small town for themselves.

They have limited resources, so they have decided to only use dirt roads until they can build a connecting road to the next big city in order to import some asphalt and concrete.

The inhabitatants are content to grow their food in the fields and live off the land. They've built a water tower and a windmill to keep their goal of being green.

Stay tuned for a future instalment

The town of St. John grew bigger as more people wanted to escape the big city. The smell of manure didn't bother most, but as time passed the founding fathers did not have as much say in city matters. So the town started to modernize and move away from its live off the earth beginnings. Dirt roads became asphalt and freight trucks soon started moving goods to neighboring cities on the new connecting road. Eventually, the town council voted to allow two industrial giants, Stratton Biotech and Hanson Hosiery, to establish production facilities on the outskirts of town. These provided jobs for most of the townfolk and everyone grew richer and happier...or so it would seem.

That's a good start! I would advise you to hide the grid squares (by pressing "G" letter button) and to hidde the icons of U Drive IT missions (you can turn them down in the U Drive It menu) while taking the pictures
