You can find many many videos on youtube about societies...I've wanted too buy it at first too, but after watching those videos...I didn't...not that it's a bad game, it's just that I'm more into zoning, than plopping...

I personally like the game, really the thing that tells if you like it or not is what your expecting and what you like. If you like zone and a sim city 4 kind of feeling dont get the game, but if you like to plop building and build roads then get it, ill all about your personal likes basically. And people are saying that the graphics are horrible, they arent, im running the game on high and the graphics are great, it just has a cartoonish feeling to it.

Well it crashes way to much, I could only play it for 9 days until I got fed up about playing it for 30 minutes a day (on Vista it wont let you use the computer for 2 hours after it crashes).

I bought SimCity Societies and I can't believe how bad it is. I exited the game after 20 minutes... it's so basic and doesn't require you to think and plan. It's so boring!

Societies is far different from SC4. It isn't exactly a city sim, but I don't know how to describe it. It's pretty much for a different demographic.

I do know that if you're into the whole micromanagement thing, love tons of options and features, and all of that city simulation stuff that you've known to grow up with and love with SC2K, SC3K, and SC4, SCS is something for you to avoid like the plague.

In all honesty it should have been called "SimSocieties." EA probably just slapped "SimCity" on there to try and fool people into buying it.

I honestly think this game is fun, i do, but this game has many issues  that are friken annoying, EA and tilted mill are blaming  people and programs right and left, but they sure won't blame their own game. I have an BRAND NEW ALIENWARE

yet i run into many problems, and tilted mill has yet to help me, they blew me off, so did EA.Every patch makes the game worse and worse, from patch 2 just being super unstable, to patch 3 with crashing exactly 5 mins after city loads, to patch 4 with the game now crashing every 2.51 mins.......Yet they blame vista, even though its ON THE BOX,they blame me for having a quad core processor, and my game can't run because quad cores are worthless and suck.Yet they can't simply tell me why all these games work on quad core...

Tilted mill and EA are honestly complete idiots.This game even before was released was marked doomed and everyone was complaining,When people who go ahead and buy the game anyways, either hate the game,or the game crashes too much or looks too choppy.

Not to mention, EA scammed me by inserting a CORUPPTED technical support software in the installation CD. The dumb software doesn't even work. Also has anyone looked at backside of the box on lower left-hand corner? Guess what it says? It says "only for people that are 10 years old or up". Also, it list alcohol and tobacco reference, crude humor, and mild violence. Even though SC4 has violence in the game, I think SCS is more inapporiate. Don't buy SCS, buy SC4 instead!

I think it's really sad how poorly received this game has been. It is actually a very good game, it is just not SimCity and never should have held that name. Going to make another post about it now.

xterra09. Because the game is only fun for about 10 hours of playing. Then you see that this game lacks everything and is boring.
