Uptown is getting developed, according to the 2003 census, 56% of the population lives in the Old Town, and the rest Uptown, just south to George River. Due to this recent development, Mayor decides to build up the second church in the city:

My favorite things: The 1 sq mile farmland, the sort of haphazardly shaped growth, and the riverparks! Well done.

    2004 march first:

City planners create new residential neighborhood on George Island, and to avoid further congestion the third bridge in between the South and the North Part of the city is built:

Fire!!! At 2.32 p.m. fire breaks out in the industrial area,  affecting  the  city's  Water Pump:

    saintgeorge19dec8012073wc6.jpg

Despite the firefighters efforts, the city water pump completely gets destroyed. Mayor is obligated to draw quick plans for a new one. Area is being designated for the new  Water treatment plant, and the new pump. Inauguration takes place at 2.32 p.m. july 2004, just 5 month after the event. The city can now be relieved, residents have once again running water 24 hours a day.

Recent Population growth determined mayor and city planner to build the new Universal School of Architects:

Stay tuned as tomorrow the state of McGregor donates money for the construction of SimNation Museum, and due to high increase in commercial demand, mayor orders city population to vote from three different proposed ares for the Downtown Development Project

Rural towns are my favorite. I really like the little trail around the houses down by the water on the 1st page. The small commercial areas are just great too!

    2008 june...

(Due to water shortage, which was real by the way, I had to rebuild half of the city, and it took me a really long time to do so, to look kinda like before...)

4 years passed quietly, SimNation Museum opened a year ago. It stands proudly in the Uptown district, on the North side:

    saintgeorge16jun7412073lf6.jpg

Meanwhile the city develops, and reaches 23.000, first hospital is built, and just next door of it, the brand new Police station opens.

saintgeorge16apr7612073db7.jpgNighview of the city, 2008 september:

    saintgeorge11nov7612073mz0.jpg

Major growth in the commercial demand, forces Mayor to draw plans for a new commercial district. Three proposals are made, all three in the already developed ares of Saint George. Just two weeks before construction Mayor still hadn't decided, so he asks population to vote for the best place where Downtown should be built...

    saintgeorge14nov8512073dd7.jpg

( I'd like all of you, who replies, to include in your answer, one of the districts proposed for the new Downtown...thank you)

Stay tuned as on the 13th of april construction begins and...

Quite the nice CJ you have here, reminds me of another CJ that just started as well. I like the way your forests and such look, they look so much better than the CJs that just use maxis. I think you should create an "historic" district in the Riverside area, with the downtown in uptown. My only real "complaint" if you could even call it that, is maxis. I think you could put this or maybe this to great use, and really help your city stand out. Anyway great work, can't way to see what you come up with.

Looking good man, I think some of us need to go back to the original style of playing SC4. Still using bats and such, but having to Micro-manage

Thanks for the great CJ keep up the work!!

Come on people, Old Town?, Riverside? or Uptown?

Please say otherwise my decisionmaking will be based only on super_monkey's comment...not that I'm complaining...

Thank you by the way for all of your support!!!

What? No railway lines to help us guide you to the answer? Well, Uptown seems like a natural place to put that hideous government/agency building the nation's most likely going to place in your city4.gif

I love it! When you use maxis stuff, it looks subtle and well-planned. When I use maxis, it looks like LA ghettos.

P.S. Have you considered using a street mod? Like the SBT Street Tree mod (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1196) or the JRJ street mod (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=115)

Edit: I think Oldtown should stay the same, Riverside should eventually get some rich condominiums and Uptown should become the commercial district.

Edit 2: Seriously. No water for 5 months. Man, I bet tourism took a nosedive. I mean, who wants to go to the town with the worst B.O. in America?

    Tiny Update...

I took the Amerikaner's and Death54's suggestion, and made my city (well, the suburbs...) a little more diverse, and a whole lot greener...

Great CJ! I love the new greenery!!! I vote Riverside for the new CBD. It is in a nice centralized location of the city.
