As a testor when testing starts would some Day and night screenshots be good? Also a screenshot of me driving a vehicle through it? Just asking so i know what you really want to see.

    Basically just test everything you can think of to ensure that it integrates seamlessly into sc4. This means how you draw it using the avenue tool, graphical glitches, pathfinding, UDI, automata, nightlights, etc etc.

    Feel free to post examples of how cool it looks, but if anything is out of the ordinary, make sure we're aware of it so we can fix it.


    Testing will start as soon as we have enough in the development thread to post a beta. Hopefully within a week or so. Just stay tuned over there and wait patiently. :)

    I would like to be a tester of the mod. I'm currently testing one of Tropod's mods so he can get the bugs out of it before releasing it. For your plans of a left turn signal, would the single traffic light for roads before the Rush Hour expansion work? If so, I'll locate it and the its necessary files for you guys to use.

    ok could you please pm the7trumpets saying that you want to test this.

    screamomatic- avenue is the same size and i would think not since i am guessing all these textures are gonna be new. I would think not since i am guessing all these textures are gonna be new since in some situations depending on how many tiles between each intersection.

    Testers - They will get the latest alpha copy of the modd and test it, reporting back to inform us of problems. They should test both the normal and UK driving versions of the modd.

    Here is part of a texture for the UK version. you can use it as a draft, or flip the normal texture, and stick this over the top.

    The main texture seems to have been compressed in the past... I have saved it as .png and uploaded it to SPH. Hope this helps 2.gif.

    It might just be me but the splitting arrows look a little too long there Dexter IMO...

    Sure it'll grow on me though...

    I dunno if its that its too long... I think it needs to start closer to the bottom of the texture. It seems that it's angle is sharper than that of the turning lane, if you can understand that...

    In the UK the splitting are sometimes at a sharp angle, and are long. I may make shorter versions, but I will have to redo it because when you move the right split arrow, there is no texture to replace the gap with.

    The left lane should have a left-turn arrow (as the right hand drive one has a right hand turn+straight arrow on the right lane).

    Could you try starting it nearer the bottom, see if it looks any better...?

    I agree, its too high up the arrow and too angled. try mving it down and making it a more shallow angle, so the tip is closer to the main arrow.

    The top Left turn arrow isn't joined to the straight on arrow, and the arrows on the New Lane are too close... IMO...

    Oh, and you'll get it when its ready Newyork... this has taking a while so far... I'm a Tester and I haven't even got a beta yet, so you're going to be waiting a while yet

    I dunno about the UK, but here in America, we rarely have arrows for the middle straight-traveling lane. People just know that it's a through lane. Sometimes, there isn't a left-turn arrow, either. Also, there's usually only one row of arrows.

    Ya, the textures are allright. As the post above mine I think you should take out the middle arrows. We all know its not a turn lane. Also try and make the arrows kind of round. As like the right turning arrow that would be very nice.

    That's weird. Except for the Southwest, which is weird, I thought most of America had turn-lanes like we do here (above description). Oh well. I can always replace the textures once the modd is released to suit my preferences.

    okay. brilliant idea... and something i thought Maxis was going to include in SC4!! nonetheless, i think the UK texture is looking good and accurate.. keep up the good work

    question though.. with the extra lane will it still fit into two-tiles (wide)?

    also, dont forget that the arrows will change depending on the approaching junction/intersection.... hmmm maybe i could help right now by providing a list of the textures i think would be needed 2.gif

    i really hope maxis takes note of all the work the SC4 communities do and include the features in SC5 (as well as their own new creations and hopefully improvements)

    EDIT so far: avenue-to-avenue intersections needed.. the note would apply to all three types of T-intersections.. as all three can be made at 8 different angles in the game
