Hmm...I would delete the NAM and cut all your plugins and paste them in a new folder and then re-install the game and then cut and paste your plugins that you put in a new folder and then put them in your new plugin folder and then Re-download the NAM. I hope it helps.

Well i tried playing without the NAM and it make the same thing. So i placed parks everywhere the came back for a while, but then they go abandoned again...

Well anyway, i'll try your advice.

I don't know if this old hat, but I found that you can use the NAM to build functioning water lots with jobs and no zots, for example you can have jobs on an oil platform.

I will post the details, if anyone is interested.

NEWB ALERT!!!

I got to page 9 of the thread and noticed 81 pages so I thought I'd just ask......
Tropod, if you're listening, I know you're nice from the chat , so take it easy on me if this has been discussed......

What are the conflicts/agreeables of the NAM and the Auto Ordinance Mod (force travel to your standard)?  I loved the NAM affects, but the Auto Ord Mod may be a bit much for my cities to tkae at the elementary level  they're at now. IYO, should I remove the Auto Ord Mod until my cities grow up a bit?

I think it will be never. The latest one i can find is 11/29/04.

People, just wait the NAM will be updated. Maybe the reason Tropod has been gone so long is because he has been updating the NAM, probaly not very likely but we can only hope.. There is a good chance it will be updated soon.

There are actually various modding projects based on the NAM beeing an extension. There are game limits making it impossible to use more than one add-on at the same time because one extension most overrides the RUL files of the other (static instance IDs have to be used).

Has somebody an idea how various modders may work on their projects without conflicting the others? Until an extension is integrated into a new NAM version keeps a long time.

The link in Newyorkrunaway's sig doesn't seem to work at the moment. Also, I can see that he hasn't been around recently. Is the NAM site down? Does anyone know if it'll be back up?

As redlotus stated here , Tropod sent him an updated version of the NAM recently, so the new stuff that is currently under development will be included soon. There are no release dates, because 'it's done when it's done'.

I have the link to the NAM and The Great Chozo's Stack Interchange (the one posted above by gstommylee) in my signature. Yes, NWR1's site is offline at the moment for some reason so I changed my link to Red Lotus's Yahoo Briefcase. There are 5 files. One is the NAM and the other one is the Stack. Enjoy!

This link to the yahoo briefcase shows a directory listing but when clicking on public, nothing happens. I tried it more than 10 times in the last weeks.

Edit: The link seems to work sometimes but mostly not.


How are now future NAM versions handled? There are the TGC stack and the upcoming ground lightrail add-on to merge into the NAM. Because there are compatibility conflicts bethween the TGC and the GLR, I had to modify the TGC stack to be usable with the GLR, but this modified version is not usable without the GLR. It would be helpful if someone could create an official NAM BETA with both add-ons merged into even if the functionality of these add-ons is incomplete yet.
The NAM homepage is actually dead, the modding file section here not up to date and the main NAM developers almost not here.
