Authors's Note:  Hello.  This is my attempt at a CJ of a nation called Avierna.  My intended result with Avierna is a sort of "Monaco of the New World", blending the luxury and lucrative grandure of Monaco with the tropical environment of the Caribbean.  I have created an official tourism website for Avierna, which you can find here:

avierna.cabanova.com

Before I go on, I'd like to thank my good friend jrhnemo for helping me find some vital modds and such.  This CJ would not be without him.  There may be lots of time between updates, since I'm so busy with school, but without further to do, here it is...

Welcome to the magnificent country of Avierna!  I hope that you will find it truly extraordinary.

Let's start this brief intro with a few teasers.

Avierna has a very tropical breezy climate, as well as beautiful rainforests:

forestfalls1.jpg

Founded by a very wealthy clan of Italians called the Vivini Family, Avierna still retains much of its heritage in the common architecture:

Tropical beaches make Avierna a premium tourist destination with some of the richest people in the world living here:

beachmansion1.jpg

Dispite the country's very small size, no taxes makes Avierna an offshore banking hotspot that competes with Swizerland.

Avierna is the site of numerous stately mansions and estates:

I hope you all come back for more!  Please comment!

Absolutely fantastic start to Avierna! The long wait for the redesign of Vivina and the entire nation was well worth it! Can't wait for more!

jugioh1012:  Thanks.  I re-lotted all of the buildings you see here, but the props are from SC4Devotion.  Just search for uploads by Mickiebear.

jrhnemo:  Thankyou so much for your support.  I'm glad you're finally getting to see the country in detail instead of the more broad way we do in the UNSC.

jacqulina:  I'm glad you liked the beach.  You'll be seeing a lot more of them here!

MrCinatit:  Thankyou very much.  I'm glad you liked it.

Amerikaner:  Thanks.  You sort of inspired me to try and make Vivina, the main city, chic as well as tropical.  I hope you come back for more! 1.gif

Mike the Mayor:  Thanks, I'm glad you liked the way I started it.

dabadon5:  Oh wow, thanks so much.  I'm so glad you looked at the site.  It's intended to kind of give you an overview of what's coming.

suplado!:  Thankyou, I'm trying to balance the tropical island aspects with the Mediterranean-style theme.  Hope you come back for more.

Well, I don't have an update yet, but I do have just one pic of what will be coming in the next update:  The largest city on the island, Vivina!

Thank you all for commenting, and I hope you stay tuned on this CJ!

Please feel free to keep commenting btw. 9.gif

Awesome teaser! I love those plazas! My one suggestion is to download the One Way Road Arrow Mod, which I can't seem to find on the STEX for you unfortunately. I'm sure if you ask, someone will know where it is. 2.gif Can't wait to see more of Vivina!

Thanks for the great comments everyone.  And now we're back with an updat of Avierna.  Today we will be starting a multi-update series of the city of Vivina.  What so important about this city you say?  Vivina makes up for over 75% of Avierna's population.  Plus, it is the capital and cultural epicenter of the little Principality.  So without further to do...
    vivinalogo.jpg

We'll start our tour by stopping for a look at the nation's seaport.  It's not very big, but it imports virtually everything consumed in this little island-nation.
    port2.jpg

From the port we stop by Avierna's middle-class area.  Since Avierna is an extremely rich little nation, most all of what you will be seeing is the wealth of the island.  But, as all beautiful cities do, Vivina has a place for those not so fortunate citizens.
    vivinaplace1.jpg

Here, we pass the Mall Vivina, a hotspot for tourists.
    mall1.jpg

Now we begin on the main subject of this update, Via Principe Alessandro, the main avenue of Vivina.
    centralave3.jpg

The avenue is lined with gorgeous shops, restaurants, and other businesses.  The top stories are usually hotels or very expensive townhomes.
    centralave2.jpg

Behind these historic buildings are often more recently built condos, as upscale residential demand is always very high in Avierna.
    citycondos1.jpg

Via Principe Alessandro ends at the Pavillion of Armando & Rosanna, a memorial to the late would-be Crown Prince and Princess.
    centralave5.jpg

And in front of the memorial is the National Capital Building.
    centralave4.jpg

Across from it is the UNSC Embassy.
    newunscembassy2.jpg

And connected to the Capitol by cobblestone plazas is the Mansion di Annetti, a fine peice of Venitian architecture built by Francisco Annetti, the first Prime Minister of Avierna.  The mansion now is the official residence of all Avierna's prime ministers.

That last one isn't an SC4 pic, in case you couldn't tell 3.gif

That looks beautiful, however you may want to crank down the saturation and contrast 3.gif Otherwise, I love that palace!! It almost looks like Alhambra.

panthersimcity4:  Thankyou.  I will try your advise.  I was actually aiming for a more Italian syle, but Alhambra is near the Mediterranean so I guess that's cool too! 9.gif

Algorithm79:  Thankyou, once we get out of the city, there will be many more houses...very nice ones at that 4.gif

Smarty218:  Thanks, to bad you aren't on chat right now haha.

Simtastico:  Yep, the map of the island of Avierna is at the top of the thread.  In a little while I'll show a pic of the entire city of Vivina.  Thankyou.

gj0829:  If you mean the painting-like edges, that's from my photo-editing software called Photoimpression.  Otherwise I just sharpen, highlight, and use a little saturation.  Thankyou for commenting!

Callbat:  Thankyou very much!  It's actually themed after Monaco or the Italian Riviera, I just used some Madrid-style buildings because they looked more modern that MBear's stuff (although I will use those in the smaller towns).

jrhnemo:  Thanks!  I wish I could think of more to say haha.

Sim_air:  Thankyou, I'm glad to get another opinion on the photo-editing.

Sorry, everyone, no update right now, but next time, we'll tour the financial district of the little (in population) town of Vivina.  Thankyou for commenting!!!
