Great update. I really liked the newspaper with the current events going on in your city. So the city lowered all the speed limits, huh? This snowstorm is going to be really bad, isn't it? Can't wait to see what happens next.

Hey guys! Sorry for taking so long to update my cj! I have been busy with work and RL and stuff. Plus Call of Duty 4 Online for the PS3 has been consuming a lot of time as well. Lol

But in between my busy schedule I still find time to be able to play SC4 enough to update it.

This update comes as the city hits 50,000 sims!

Here is: The Tridelton Daily: (This was supposed to be posted last Thurday, hence the date. I am just a tad late!)

Newspaper228.jpg

Expect another newspaper update tomorrow night. (Not an update update, but just a new newspaper.)

On to the city now.

Region overview.

tm5.jpg

As you can see, Tridelton is growing rapidly on the SE and the N sides of town. Make believedly, Lol, the city has gone from 37,000 sim the last update to 51,000 sims 6 months later (Game time) in this update. The city is indeed growing rapidly.

Transportation Map:

tm6.jpg

As seen, you can see I have added more grids, lol, and expanded the highways. It seems to be that a loop is being created. Didn't plan it, just happened and came out good, lol. Just trying to make it realistic!

Now to the close-ups.

Overview of one of three newly developed areas in the city:

tm1.jpg

This little area is home to over 7,000 sims, 2,000 commercial jobs, 300 industrial jobs, and the city's third high school.

Zoomed in view of the eastern portion of the area. With the busiest intersection in the right hand side of the picture.

tm2.jpg

All of the roads are busy with traffic.

The second busiest intersection in this small portion of the city.

tm3.jpg

There is my work! Lol. I work at Jack in the Box.

Neighborhood.

tm4.jpg

Looks peaceful.

Newly developed area just north of the previous area. The Crosstown Freeway is the busiest highway as of now in Tridelton.

tm7.jpg

Much more urban. A lot of concrete.

The Crosstown Freeway and I-41 interchange. Clean solar plants power Tridelton.

tm8.jpg

I got a lot to work on in this area.

The newly developed area in the Northern portion of the city. It sits along side I-73

tm9.jpg

Living in the ghetto.

The area at night. Still have a lot of room for development.

tm10.jpg

Many different colors!

And the last picture... This is a funny name for a cleaners.... Kind of rated R! Haha.

tm11.jpg

Sitting along Tridelton Avenue. I believe SG made it. Nice one!!! Lol.

Well guys, that wraps up this update! I hope you enjoyed it. I look forward to comments and constructive criticism!

Thank you for taking your time to<

Your transportation maps are amazing. I like how it just seems to curve around like that. Upon a closer look, I see how you did it, and I gotta say, that would NOT be a good neightborhood to be drunk in!!!!.. Maybe prohabition is in the books for your city? For as big as it is, it sure does have a nice small-town feel to it, which I like. Great Job

Thanks for the replies guys! I am glad you guys think it is realistic! That is what I am aiming for. I also am glad to hear you like my transportation maps and road networks. It takes me a lot of planning to think it up.

Also, I will keep on making newspapers as long as you guys keep liking them! Lol. Sorry though guys, no newspaper tonight. I will try to squeeze in an update on Saturday night!

Thanks for visiting and keep the comments coming!

Hey guys! Wassup? Sorry for taking forever to update! I have been busy with work, my son and girlfriend, airsoft, school, and working out at the gym. So I haven't really had time to update frequently or play much.

I am using all of my free time as I can to play SC4. But unfortunately I haven't had any time to make a newspaper. I would tonight, but its getting kind of late and I am tired, so thats out of the question. But I will try to tomorrow night after work. But I wont promise anything. I have a lot to cover in the newspapers so maybe I will make two. Its not a sure thing but I will try to make it if I have time.

Anyways, on to the 4th update of this CJ! As always, I hope you enjoy viewing this as much as I enjoy making it for you guys!

This update comes as the city's population hits 62,000 sims.

Here is the region overview

a1.jpg

As you can see, some land west of downtown has been filled in since the last update and a suburban area has been constructed.

Here is the transportation map showing the city's traffic network

a2.jpg

Many cul-de-sacs have been laid out in the only suburban area of Tridelton and several farm roads have been paved as well.

Also, a cloverleaf interchange has been built with the junction of the main avenue of the suburb and I-41.

Here it is

a8.jpg

This is probably the second busiest interchange in the city. The southern area of the region has a bunch of piney forest away from the shore lines of the lake.

Here is an overview of the "burbs"

a9.jpg

The area is nowhere near complete. I still need to zone more agriculture, homes and other things to see in future updates and not at this time 2.gif.

The main intersection of the suburban area

a11.jpg

Jack in the Box and Whataburger are the two main fast food restaurants in Tridelton and are both competing for the top spot in the city's market. Wegman's is Tridelton's number one grocery store.

Also, I need to work on the repetition of those low wealth homes in the area. I am currently working on that.

The region's first agricultural area

a10.jpg

At the moment, its small, but booming.

Now lets go back to the city to the area just west of downtown.

This is the new neighborhood about a mile west of the heart of the city.

a3.jpg

If you ask me, it looks too peaceful to be in the middle of a city.

One of only a handful round-a-bouts in the city.

a4.jpg

And yet again, another Jack in the Box, Whataburger, and Wegman's. This intersection is... semi-busy at most.

Next we take you a mile east to the heart of the city. Downtown Tridelton!

a7.jpg

Three new towers now dominate the skyline of Tridelton, showing the power, growth, and potential that this small city has.

Moving five miles to the northeast by the I-73 and I-41 interchange is the all new, Metroview Mall.

Lovely update! This is one of my favorite CJ's! Keep it up gabetx!

Also, notice how there is a typo in the name of your region? All you have to do is change that in the notepad file in your region's folder! 9.gif4.gif2.gif

I really like your road layout. In the region mode it looks more realistic and cooler, but hey it still works fine in the actual city view too. Very realistic, the spreading of the city in a round form. I like. Keep it up!
