Very nice region, and I well built, good-looking city. I like your boulevards, the walkways too, and the well-chosen buildings you use.  I've only been to Marseille once, only one day, but I think I do see some resemblance.   

Well done graphic presentation too, the tour outline with the numbers is a good idea.

sc4player: thanks for your comments, the map is really one of my favourites, and actually quite
easy to work with.

aleking: thanks a lot, there are a lot better CJs around than mine. The mosaics ARE a pain, just imagine the game loading time. Actual photo finishing is fun now - game itself starts to suck.

amal81: thanks a bunch, I also enjoy a lot doing the mosaics (multiple pix joining together)

Dannato : Thanks to you as well, I was never in Marseille, so I cannot really say IF my
Marsalia resembles the real Marseille. I surfed a bit in the web, and found some images, the
city transport planning department site was also interesting to read - although in my Marsalia
the traffic is far less chaotic than in real Marseille. In fact, the idea of tour numbers is kind of a relief, because my SC4 quota is filling up again, and it kind of gives me a feeling that there is an end to a project - not so with SC4 often. In most other games you win or loose, in SC4 there are no winners or loosers.

DragonAnime: Thanks, I found the pool already way back, but only now found a really good use for it. The river is a real river in Marseille, you will still see it in some updates a bit later.

Now it is time to see what happens with all that fine education that Marsalians get at their Marsalia University System. It has resulted Marsalia to be a very industrial city, but also acting as one of the leading commercial hubs in southern France.

La Pomme is more suburban with an old town centre, whereas Saint Barnab

Wow, you're tough to keep up with.....that's a good thing though...

I love the way you have mixed the different density zones together......they just seem to mesh so well.....And all the green look beautiful....and of course...the maps and pics are stunning.....

jasperdeman.nl: thanks, danke je wel! Well, I hope that your vacation in Rome went well, I was there 22 years ago last time, probably I should go again... Actually, Marsalia has kept me in holiday spirits now for 2 months, not bad, eh?

 

I try to make another update this evening.

 

fredval: Merci beaucoup, ca me fait plaisir d'avoir ton support! I have always loved maps, since I was 12 years old (and now I am 38 ) and when SC4 came out, I was flabbergasted, I could finally make electronically what I had done as a teenager: draw maps.

 

I use Photoshop and Illustrator for my maps, by the way.

Thanks Kwakelaar, although my city is not based on modern urbanism (with strictly planned suburbs), I think that
I have been able to catch the European spirit with a managed chaos.

dhoppeii: I think even in real life different densities are mixed a bit like this. And when I last checked my traffic
data, the really big traffic troubles seem to have left my cities alone. Of course, locally, there are troubles, and on
some parts of the motorway or metro system, I have tens of thousands of users.
