EVANESCENCE - LACRYMOSA

hmm... oh i know...

Give me a reason to end this discussion,

To break with tradition.

To fold and divide.

Cause I hate the ocean, theme parks and airplanes,

Talking with strangers, waiting in line..

I'm through with these pills that make me sit still.

"Are you feeling fine?"

Yes, I feel just fine.

ahh!

one of my fav songs

Everything Is Alright by Motion City Soundtrack

I am so sorry,

So take this rose

And break this bottle of aged pills

Taste the blue ones, and we will sleep through December.

Awake to the birth of an Angel,

She has your eyes

And I will hide from them, don't worry

Soon she will grow, I can't believe this is all my fault

Yeah, soon she will grow.

Unbury me and put me back together again.

Taste it

Taste it

Sad rose for life because I am already dead!

So taste "it" and we will never be alone

I'll take the first bite, yeah, I am Ghost

Say goodnight to you, my darling, my darling.

Hi, All.

The song title is "Pretty People Never Lie, Vampires Never Really Die" by I Am Ghost.

Now before anyone goes "OOO, AAHH" over my getting this, let me simply say that Google is a very good friend to have.

Here is one for you:

"The love you take

is equal to the love

You make"

Clue?  1969

Regards,

Gary

And study your pain

Make crosses for your lovers

Throw roses in the rain"

Actually, Evanescence did do "Lacrymosa" in 2006.  If you're looking to go back to the piece's "roots", then we need to go to Mozart's "Requiem".  This became the Dies Irae - in Catholic Liturgy, the "Requiem Mass".

It is also possible you are referring to Castrum's "Book of Malediction"?

Hello, Kiwi n Grapes.  (What a really COOL username!)

Originally posted by: Kiwi n Grapes The End By the Beetles? I'm not sure but i think im right.quote>

You are correct.  "The End" was the final track on the Abbey Road album (unless you count "Her Magesty") and the last song that all four Beatles recorded together as a group.

As to your lyrics, the song is "Thunder Road" by Bruce Springsteen.

Here is another one for y'all:

"I love all the many charms about you

Above all I want my arms about

Don't be a naughty baby...

Come to papa, come to papa do"

Regards,

Gary

dive down deep to save my head

you.. i think that you got the blues too"

Hint: I love guitar hero, do you?

Good Luck!

Just for your information, you've got a great Screen Name.  Of course, the fact that I live in Durham, NC, home to the Duke Blue Devils (YAAAH!) has nothing to do with it...41.gif

As to my posting style, well...  the best answer I can give you is the last line of my signature.

Now, on to business.  The lyrics you've posted are from Elton John's song "This Train Don't Stop There Anymore".

Hi, Kiwi n Grapes.

Frank Sinatra did sing "Embraceable You" but it was written by George Gershwin.

Okay, folks.

Here's one for you:

"I need a hand to help build up some kind of hope inside me"

Regards,

Gary (Vandy)

Apparently it's:

Adan Chalino Sanchez - Y Tu

Thanks, google!

Anyways, this one should be easy enough:

Audi famam illius

Solus in hostes ruit

Et patriam servavit

Audi famam illius

Cucurrit quaeque

Tetigit destruens

Audi famam illius

Audi famam illius

Spes omnibus mihi quoque

Terror omnibus mihi quoque

Ille iuxta me

Ille iuxta me

Socii sunt mihi

Qui olim viri fortes

Rivalesque erant

Saeve certando

Pugnandoque

Splendor crescit

Probably by far the most recognizable song with lyrics in Latin these days. 31.gif

Google says it's Super Smash Brothers Main Theme 17.gif

Here's My Lyric

Higher now than ever beforequote>

Here is a clue because of how impossible the lyric is.3.gif

The Band once did a cover of a song that was used in a movie about the lead singer of the band that they covered.

No, it's not. It's the main theme from Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

You've never played that game, have you?

Anyways:

Sempre un amabile

leggiadro visoquote>

is apparently, according to Google, Giuseppe Verdi - La Donna È Mobile.

As for it being a classic... I've never heard of it. So It can't be that much of a classic.

Next up:

Listen baby, I'm sorry

Just wanna tell you don't worry

I will be late, don't stay up and wait for me

I say again, you're dropping out , my battery is low

just so you know

we're going to a place nearby, gotta go

You might not have heard of it, but you almost certainly have heard it.  It's opera...and a very famous passage of opera, at that.

There's a clip on its Wikipedia [right here].

Nope, haven't heard it, either.

Then again, opera is one of the few types of music I don't listen to, so I can't think of too many opera songs I'd recognize, period.

Puddle of Mudd - She Hates Me

Didn't have to Google that one! I have that song. 5.gif

Okay, easy one now (at least I hope):

Lying, cheating, hurting

that's all you seem to do

messing around, every guy in town

putting me down, while thinking of someone new

always the same, playing your games

drive me insane, trouble's gonna come to you

one of these days and it won't be long

you'll look for me but baby, I'll be gone

DA Smart - Walk Wit Me

What you gave me is an article entitled "Chicago for a Song", about songs that have chicago in the title but don't talk about the city.

Didn't I say it would be hard even for the Googlers.

See if you can guess this one.

Google tells me this is a parody of a Kelly Clarkson song, the parody is written by the mystical one.

But google isn't always right. So I could be wrong.

Try this song.

Well...that's "Contagious," by The Isley Brothers, and featuring R. Kelly.

All right, try this one:

But the Earth stands forever fast;

The river runs towards the sea,

But the sea is never full...."

Rush - Subdivisions

Next:

I would chain myself if I could
I'd walk with my people if I could find them
And I'd say that I'm sorry to you
I'm sorry to you
And I don't want to call you
But then I want to call you
And I don't want to crush you
But I feel like crushing you
And it's true, I took for granted
That you were with me
I breathe by your looks
And we were broke and didn't know...

Hi All,

Since there's nothing to guess, here's a new lyric. It's kinda easy.

"The rusted chains of prison moons

Are shattered by the sun.

I walk a road, horizons change

The tournament's begun.

The purple piper plays his tune,

The choir softly sing;

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue,"

Third Eye Blind would be the band, although the song is called "Deep Inside of You" not "Tons of Lyrics" 18.gif
You're also revealing your (lack of) age here: anyone who's old enough to remember what was on the radio in 1999 ought to be familiar with that one. It's a beautiful song, you should give it a listen.

Anyways...

Well the years start comin' and they don't stop comin'
fed to the rules and I'll hit the ground runnin'
didn't make sense not to live for fun

so what's wrong with taking the back streets
you'll never know if you don't go
you'll never shine if you don't glow

All Star-

recently Smashmouth

Would you believe your eyes,

If 10 million fireflies,

Lit up the world as I fell asleep

Cause they'd fill the open air,

Leaving teardrops everywhere

You'd think me rude,

But I would just stand and stare,

I'd like to make myself believe

That planet Earth turns slowly

It's hard to say that I'd rather stay

Awake when I'm asleep

'Cause everything is never as it seems

When I fall asleep

Fireflies - Owl City (2009)

Here's a bit:

So a day when you've lost yourself completely

Could be a night when your life ends

Such a heart that will lead you to deceiving

All the pain held in your

Hands are shaking cold

Your hands are mine to hold

On and off again since 2007
