Only 3 big concerts in my life. The last concert was in '06... Death Cab for Cutie, Franz Ferdinand, and the Cribs in NYC, but I skipped out on Franz to hang out in Times Square. The year before was Dave Matthews Band and before that was Tim McGraw and some other country bands way back in '94 or '95... I went through a country phase in my early teens for some reason.

I've seen a number of local bands in my time as well, but nobody outside of my area probably knows about them.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

I just found out today that I'll be seeing 16th Avenue on February 4 again, 5 days before the Hedley concert.  Both of these bands I've seen in concert before 3.gif

I haven't been to a concert in years, but during high school and before college, I must have seen like 50 shows. I can't remember them all, but the ones that stood out were Aerosmith, Stone Temple Pilots, ACDC (the best show I've seen, actually), Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, Eve6, Wheatus, Black Sabbath, and the two times I saw Incubus. I also went to the Rolling Rock Town Fair in 2001 (2002? I can't remember).

ACDC put on just the best show. I've always thought that bands who were better live had something others lacked, and ACDC despite being like 50 or 60 were just full of energy and played everything that much faster. They were smiling the whole time and everyone at the Palace (of Auburn Hills) had a great time. We took my friend who didn't even like the band and she confirmed it was awesome. But since that period I haven't felt compelled to cram myself into an over-packed arena or theater with hundreds or thousands of other people and sweat like crazy to come out exhausted and half-deaf and reeking of cigarettes. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, but I suppose in retrospect that money could have bought me a boatload of Spider-Man comics2.gif

I'm not much of a concert goer as of now, but I been to quite a lot a while back. I tend to favour indoor concerts over outdoor ones, as the MEN Arena attracts the very best artists (along with the 02 Arena in London). Never been to concerts like Glastonbury, i'd rather eat my own hair than listen to James Blunt, Amy Winehouse and Jay-Z in one day.7.gif

Music artists i've seen from the top of my head:

    Oasis

    Ian Brown

    Happy Mondays

    Arctic Monkeys

    Foo Fighters

    James

    The Verve

    The Strokes

    Inspiral Carpets

Take That (I was forced to go to their homecoming gig...28.gif)

    Morrissey

    Franz Ferdinand

    The Bravery

    Primal Scream

    The Wombats

    Stereophonics

    The Foo Fighters

    Placebo

    The All American Rejects (twice)

    Motion City Soundtrack (3 times)

    Ok Go (twice)

    The Aviators (5 times)

    Hundred Reasons

    The Howling Bells

    InMe

The Rasmus (I had nothing better to do that day)

    The Glitteratti

    Bedouin Soundclash (twice)

    Whole lotta led

    LuCID

    My Chemical Romance

    In'sin'erate

    City and Colour

    The Cinematics

    Attack in Black

    Dlugo Khecki

A ton of local bands too.

There are loads I have not listed but I can't recall them all.

Seeing Panic! At the disco this week, and trying to get tickets for Porcupine Tree in october. Wouldn't mind seeing the Pigeon Detectives either,

    I don't know if I can remeber ALL of the shows I've been to... but here is a list of bands I have seen. (Many of which I don't really care for anymore. Bands I have seen more than once are indicated with a number;

My first show was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in 1995.

    Live

    Veruca Salt

    Filter

    Stabbing Westward

    Goldfinger

    Lush

    Everclear (2)

    Bush

    No Doubt

    Smashing Pumpkins

Sugar Ray (when they were good)

    Letters To Cleo

    The Mighty Mighty Bosstones

    Jimmy's Chicken Shack

    Green Day

    Wu Tang Clan

    Rage Against The Machine

    The Who

    Robert Plant

    Pearl Jam

    Motoflov

    Pitchshifter

    Trey Anastasio

    Quicksand

    Breaking Benjamin

    Cold

    Marilyn Manson

    Linkin Park

    Disturbed

    Ozzy Osbourne

    Korn (5)

    Snoop Dogg

    Glassjaw

    The Buzz Poets

    Andy M. Stewart

    PJ Harvey

    Roger Waters

    Atreyu (sp?)

    Staind

    Stone Sour

    Fuel

    Public Enemy (w/o Flav)

    Dilated Peoples

    Blackalicious

    The Disco Biscuits

    Team Sleep(see this band!)

and of course, I have seen the Deftones 7 times. They rock!

That's all I can remember... there are probably more, and I would rather die than see a lot of those acts again. Specifically Live. I can't stand that band. Roger Waters was probably the best show I've seen. Such iconic music. He played Dark Side of the Moon, as well as as Shine, Wish You Were Here, Mother, Another Brick In The Wall, Comfortably Numb, Bring The Boys Back Home (complete with cannon fire), and many others. It was epic.

    I barely missed a chance to see the following bands;

    AC/DC

    Apoptygma Berzerk

Pennywise (I am so mad I have never seen these guys!)

    Rammstien

Guns N Roses (well axl rose and some friends. I should have quit my job and gone to that show... b/c I DID quit that job just a month later.)
