I had assumed you were from Arizona with all that detail, but I love Tulsa too.  When I drive home to Indiana I lay over in Tulsa.  For such a "small" town it has such a beautiful downtown and the river.  Keep up the nice work in Copper Basin!!

I noticed the single-sided portion of the highway, very cool! The traffic traveling on it is also a big plus. Excellent job with those canals, they look very nice. Those trails next to it are a good touch. I liked the neighborhood with the line of custom diagonal houses, too. 9.gif

Can't wait for your next update, and I hope to see some of your classic comments. 3.gif

This may be my new favourite CJ. I think that if Phoenix and LA hooked up and had a baby, this city would be it. AMAZING SKYLINE. Well thought out, reminiscent of my own style. Can't wait to see the future updates!

OMG! I can't believe I missed my first starring role in a CJ update! lol

That sounds about right for a weekend. Hopefully I got a room at that hotel and didn't drive home...that would be bad...the only thing worse being who was in my room...eek

I didn't see a church in picture 17.9, only a Hooters. Maybe you pray to the Hooters gods...3.gif

    It's update time again, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!

lucky7 - Thanks!  Yes, I have gotten some inspiration from my hometown - a lot of the names of places and streets I use for Copper Basin are from Tulsa.  This wasn't your first post in here, you posted on page one and seven!  haha  Thanks again!

WillG_75 - Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!

justinthejew - Hey, glad you could check it out!  I'm happy you are liking everything so far, see you later!

bbfan02 - Thanks, I'm glad you liked the paddleboat area - thanks again for commenting!

dfnva - Thanks!  At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to put a canal in this city, but now I am glad I did.  Glad you like it!

gabry85 - Thanks, Gabry!  Always good to see you commenting, glad you are still enjoying everything!

ixnayonthetimmay - Hey!   I don't know, I've never seen the Scottsdale waterfront, but if it resembles it then that's cool I guess!  Thanks for commenting!

    Almighty Nienaber - Hey, thanks!

Twenty20 - Thank you, glad you like it!  I will see you later then!

dbranch - No, I've never even been to Arizona!  haha  Thanks, and glad you like T-Town also!

ky72x - Thanks, that single sided highway section actually gets more usage than I thought it would.  Glad you like the canal, and those aren't diagonal houses, the picture just looks that way!  Thanks for commenting!

countryjhawk - Thanks!  Glad you like the skyline, and I will get as many updates for you as I can!

Jill Jacobs - Hehehe, it was your first starring role in a cj update, maybe not your last though!  Of course you didn't drive home drunk, that's bad!  You had a private room in the hotel, so don't worry about who else was in there, lol!   Hmmm, Hooters gods huh?  I like your thinking!  hehe

Lifetec - Thank you, I will try!

suplado! - Thanks, suplado!  Glad you liked the canal!  see ya

    Jill Jacobs - hehehe

jacqulina - Thanks, Jacky!   Glad you still like my pics -  I am trying to take care, but you know me - always getting into trouble!  haha   See you later!

jjune4991 - Thanks, and hopefully you will like this update too!  Glad you like the pics of T-Town as well!

This update will focus on the activities of Mike, a business traveler from Tampa who arrives a day early before his Saturday convention to have a little free time for himself...

Pic 19.1 - A view of the city flying in from Tampa early in the morning on April 11th...

Pic 19.2 - Here is a look at the completed West End district, where Mike will be spending most of his time, and money...

Pic 19.3 - Here is a closer look at part of the new area. The Fairfield Inn, where Mike is staying, is to the left of the picture...

Pic 19.4 - After picking up some dirty hookers at the airport, Mike checks in to his hotel room...

Oops, sorry  I haven't posted since page 7.  Looking amazingly jaw-dropping as always.  I see your downtown & surrounding areas are filling out nicely.  The last picture is great, very detailed. 9.gif  No comment on Mike.  3.gif

Thanks those of you who responded already, I really appreciate it!  I will do your replies with the rest of them before my next update.

Here is the rest of my previous update, which I couldn't do all together because my computer was acting up...

Pic 19.11 - After getting pretty tipsy at Emmerson Biggins, Mike heads to the north side of the West End district...
    19up11-1.jpg

Pic 19.12 - Mike decides to have more drinks on the patio of Captain Jack's, which is across from the Big Pecker's Grill.  He is completely drunk now, and it is getting late, so he decides to head back to the hotel...
    19up12-1.jpg

Pic19.13 - Mike wakes up three days later, finding himself being urinated on by a homeless guy behind the Eckerd drugstore.  He has two voicemails on his cell phone, the first one from his work asking why he wasn't at the convention - and letting him know he has been fired, and the second voicemail was from one of the hookers telling him they found out they had Herpes and Ghonnorea and now so did he...
    19up13-1.jpg

Pic 19.14 - Mike now refers to his trip to Copper Basin as the trip where he "got screwed up the butt in more than one way", and vows never to return...
    19up14-1.jpg

Pic 19.15 - We will miss you, Mike!...   hehehe
    19up15.jpg

Note:  the "Mike" in this story was fictitional and any resemblance to any real Mike is purely coincidental!  3.gif  haha

    Thanks again for looking!

I like your city, I live in Phoenix Arizona. I been to Lake Havasue many times for spring break, lots of fun. As a student I have study the flora of the Sonoran desert, your desert terrian is all right but is not realalistic. The mountains should be basin and range with broad falt valley made up of bajadas or piedmonts with flora arranged according to soil texture. Near the moutains the soil texture in course and shallow with palo vede( Parkensonia microphylla, cactus spp. ( Cylindropuntia, Ferrocactus, and shrubs Lycium, . Near the valley floor the soil texture is fine made up of clays and slits, only ambrosia dumosa, Larrea tridenata, and Atraplex spp., with very card pterocalic layers make building houses hard too. You should read a book on the natural history of the Sororan Desert if you fully want to sim a North American Desert city. Also to sim a desert having brown or tan color soil and a few cactus wont cut it. Aso a Plant Biologist and a person who plays sim city the simple desert system is a insult to the true diversity of the Sonoran Desert and the Cities that grace their presence upon their surface.

Other than that and for sim city you did a great job, sim city was never big on ecological soundness rather just pretty trees.

    Darin.

Stunning city, hilarious story...definitely in Copper Basin. There was definitely great photoshopping on your pics, especially when the sun was going down. The night pictures looked super too.

As for Mike...I hope I didn't run into him while he was there. I love the emphasis on dirty hookers...not just regular type...dirty...

The rest was a bit like reading a Weird Al song lol. Emerson Biggins, stroke one off at the mini golf, meat and nuts at Texas Roadhouse...how do you come up with this stuff? Do you use a time machine to ask your 13-year-old self what jokes to use, or do you ask current 13-year-olds?

    Jk, babe...jk...2.gif
