Thanks for all the nice comment guys, geez quickly too!

And I think masochrist wins the most creative way to avoid the censor award, for his masterful re-working of my username, Kockuh2. 18.gif

Just a little something that popped up at SC4D, and I'd thought I'd share it with you guys too.

Some people have been saying that because I mirror some of my images and don't usually post overview pictures of my cities that sometimes it can get a little confusing to get a picture of the entire city in your head and know how all the little districts fit in with each other. I've put together a little map so you can get a look at the city as a whole, and know where everything is and how it all fits together in the grand scheme of things. Here's just a normal satellite image (Made with the Region Census)...

    City-FranklinSoundInlet.jpg

And here's a map I put togther outlining where all the different districts are located...

You can also see where all the main waterways are...

    Red-  The Main CBD

    Green-  The Satellite CBD

Orange-  The Port and Suburban Area

Light Blue-  The Holiday District (With PEG's Mountain Homes)

    Yellow-  The Garbage Dump

    Dark Blue-  The Farming District

    White-  The Hotel District

    City-FranklinSoundInlet-Map.jpg

BTW, anybody see that new avatar of mine? I think it's a Grey Parrot doing some strange mating dance/ ritual while under the influence... 18.gif

Yeah...I looked at it harder and now I don't think I can sleep anymore!3.gif I think I drank too much coke...17.gif

Edit: I forgot to comment on the pics...20.gif...I really like the region view. Do you have a larger version though?

the whole city seems to be a bit too small for such a CBD, but otherwise the city is as well-strucutured as every of your lovely detailed pictures. i like it. unfortunatelly it is kind of blurred.

    great region

Uhh, yeah - that update was freakin incredible!  The mosaic rocks, and the fire picture was so cool.  I don't know how you can say that you like my photoshopping when it is obvious that yours is so much better!  Looking forward to more!

You use a very intensive development system which normally doesn't come off well, but you've managed to do it, and do it very well. Your pictures are a real treat to view and have so much detail they invite return visits.

•UPDATE EIGHT  Satellite CBD Part Three 29th JANUARY 2008•

Well here's your next little set of images, only one more update to go before we do something a little different!

Just some more assorted images of the area plus a special mosaic that I've spent ages Photoshoping (You'll either like or hate it, some kinda new techniques for me on the clouds and fog front.)

As per usual from now on, if you want to see the full sized images then head over here. 29.gif

•UPDATE SEVEN Satellite CBD Part Two 23rd JANUARY 2008•

Godzillaman: Hehe, thanks! Glad that you liked the fire! Thanks for coming by my CJ!

Haljackey: Cool fire eh? Try touching it! Thanks for your real nice comments and I hope to see you back.

dogma555: Oh thanks! Paint Shop Pro XI is the editing package I use, although I sometimes just say that my pictures are Photoshopped because that seems to be the generic term (Very similar programs)… anyway, in a nut shell, I just use some lighting and brightness / contrast effects mixed in with some saturation enhancements and the soft focus filter for most of the night pics. There’s heaps of other little things I do, but that’s the basics.

flame1396: The Tan coloured buildings like I have told so many people before you are on the STEX, they have been done by Bixel and can be downloaded here: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=19244 and https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=19243.

    jutrock: Hey thanks!

is there a trixie award categorie for the best picture of the year? your mosaic would get my vote (besides your whole cj 4.gif) but your close-up shots are awesome as well, because they are full of details, that give life to your city. how many time do you spend on creating one barrio?

thank you for the links and as for the "small city" of course you're right. i don't thought about further development.

keep it going , it is an incredible cj
