It has a great small-town feel. That map looks exciting. I wonder what it will all look like when you've got settlements all around those mountains.

Good to see Garland up and running again. Although some of those farms would look better if the trails leading to the houses/barns connected to a road/street, they still look really nice. I liked the high school's athletic facilities, great use of the parking lots. What a very quaint town, Neptune's Cove is!

That's one good looking industrial area! The oil refinery was made well. I like how the road goes over the railyard instead of crossing every single track. Now that wouldn't be too realistic, would it? 3.gif Excellent layout of the whole area overall!

Nice industrial area. The oil plant is amazing. The place looks a bit too quiet though; consider some more traffic.

Schulmanator ~ Thanks man!  I'm really glad that you like the neighborhood.

Andronicus22 ~ Thanks!  I hope that you'll like my next update, too.

2nerdy4u ~ Thanks.  I really like this map.  The different elevations give it a great dynamic.

ky72x ~ Yeah, I would like to see that, too.  They just grew that way, unfortunately.  I have been looking for a good football field from my high schools, and found that one.  I couldn't help but download it.  It's a great addition.

Jacky ~ Thanks, deary!  I hope my further work turns out like these last few updates.

mkaustin ~  Thanks!  I've always wanted to have a good rail yard.  This is definitely not a "finished product" so to speak. hehe

Markus J ~ Thanks!  Now that you pointed that out, its true.  It is rather clean.  I'll have to dirty it up a little bit.  9.gif

connorc24 ~ Thanks man.  I hope the other updates of Neptune Port are as well, if not better.

ky72x #2 ~ Thanks!  The oil refinery is actually a lot I downloaded.  Originally, I had the road crossing all those rail lines, and I thought it would be better to have a bridge over them.  I'm glad you like it!

NMUSpidey ~ Thanks!  Its not complete, though.  I'm going to add a few more "extra touches" to it here this week.

    Andronicus22 #2 ~ Thanks!  I hope I can keep it up.  lol

2nerdy4u #2 ~ Thanks.  I agree.  I'm going to make it a little more busy and dirty, now. lol

anarchy0029 ~ Thanks!  I hope you like the next update of Neptune Port.

Jacky ~ Thanks!  I hope you like this small update.

2nerdy4u ~ Thanks man!  I hope you like these.  There's not much, for now.

Kyle ~ Thanks, dude!  I hope you like these few pics.  Not much of an update, but there will be more later.

The newly rezoned, and planned Industrial Rail Hub of Neptune Port

    NeptuneRailHub2.jpg

    Downtown Neptune's Cove

Neptune's Cove now has a booming population of 13,000.

While the town is still small, it is already gaining nationwide attention for its commerce and agriculture.

    Downtown13k.jpg

The Sims of Neptune's Cove find life usually relaxing, and many CEO's and influential businessmen have moved to the small town.

Thanks everyone for taking time to look.

Sorry there's not more.  I will have more later in the week.

The update was very short, but very sweet as well. I will continue to applaud your emphasis on building variety in your cities, because in Neptune's Cove, it's really evident. That's a nice custom Maxis building in the second picture, I like the glass roof!

Looks like a very nice high class area. I don't know why, but the roofs in the 2nd picture are interesting. Yes, I'm crazy.

Kyle ~ Yeah.  It was a bit short.  I've been working on some more this week.  Since I won't be able to come out with an update this weekend.  Thanks.  I really like variety!

Twenty20 ~ Thanks.  I'm glad that you like the industrial area.  I spent quite a bit of time getting it just right.  I hope you'll like these upcoming pics, too then.

Jacky ~ Thanks!  I wish I could get these ploppable trains I downloaded from STEX to work.  They'd be awesome.

2nerdy4u ~ Thanks man.  I really like the condos.  I'm glad I could get them to grow in Adelphi.  I hope you like these pics, too!

    Teaser2.jpg

Well, I chose to make this a teaser because these projects are not fully complete, but I wanted to share them with everyone before I finished them  Here ya go!

The newly founded, Persephone Oil Co., has established a large oil refinery in Adelphi.

    PersephonePort.jpg

However, since Neptune Port hadn't a large enough port to allow Persephone Oil to export large quantities, they have funded a port expansion project.  Funded by the Local, Federal Government, and Persephone Oil, this multi-million dollar project is planned to take several years to complete, even though construction is already underway.  A couple of docks are open, to help Persephone Oil to succeed in the booming market.

    PersephonePort2.jpg

    PersephonePort3.jpg

Well, I hope you enjoyed those!

Great pics. I love those BATs, because they're so detailed. Nice work on the glare too.

2nerdy4u ~  Thanks.  I really like the buildings' detail, too.

    Update2.jpg

Well, I thought I wasn't going to have enough time to finish the Port until later.  While is it still "under construction", it is 90% complete.

I hope you all enjoy the following pics.

The loading dock for all exports, and imports of Neptune Port.

Many of the freight ships come through Neptune Port, and leave their freight for ships heading to another destination.

    FreightShip.jpg

Adelphi has a large amount of coal.  The local mines have found several areas to drill.  Salt is also commonly found, more inland, from Neptune Port.

    LoadingDock.jpg

Another ship docks at Neptune Port to pick up cargo and carry it to another destination.

    CargoShip.jpg

With such a bustling port, the Federal Government of Garland has form the Neptune Port Authority.  The headquarters can be found on the waterfront of Neptune Port.
