Now who said that?

This is rather simple. Post a quote, from anywhere. Next person has to say who said it (and if it's from a work of fiction, what that work is), then post their own quote.

If you don't recognize the current quote, DON'T POST! Wait for someone who does to get it. If however, a couple of days go by and no one recognizes something, then you can just disregard the previous and move on. The poster of the unrecongized quote should then identify it in their next post. Or if at a latter date someone else recognizes it before that happens, they can identify it too. Also, don't paraphrase. If you can't get a quote exact, don't use it.

Starting off:

"Spotted Owl Spotted"

What an hugely obscure quote 3.gif It's from the newsticker in Sim City 4.

"It will be years before a woman either leads the Conservative Party or becomes prime minister. I don't see it happening in my time"

Margaret Thatcher said that.  5 years later she won her conservative parties leadership and 4 years after that she became PM.

Here's mine...

"When I turned two I was really anxious because I'd doubled my age in a year.

I thought, if this keeps up, by the time I'm six I'll be ninety."

That was the brilliant John Cleese as a french castle guard in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

A slightly harder one...

"For seven and a half years I've worked alongside President Reagan. We've had triumphs. Made some mistakes. We've had some sex...uh...setbacks."

"I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying."

(and my last quote was Homer Simpson)

    Okay, here's a tougher one:

"So you see, my lad, the true moral behind the Battle of Trenton is that if you party too hardy, George Washington will kick your ass. Any questions?"

I only found someone who goes by the name of power_dysfunction. Is that correct?

    Here's another:

You likely found someone repeating the quote. The original quote is not in text, it's from this comic (an image)

Anyway, an easy one this time:

"Today... I consider myself... the luckiest man... on the face of the earth."

"The direct use of force is such a poor solution to any problem, it is generally employed only by small children and large nations."

    Now here's a good one -
