I wonder what happened over the Lake Michigan industrial pollution dumping fiasco BP was involved in?

That bit with all the pollution and the old cars gave off a giant '30s, depression, dustbowl feel. Thanks WorldSims.org. 2.gif

I'm pretty sure it was from Sc4. I haven't heard any original music in the game's trailers. Anyway, that was a pretty cool video. The scenery looked nice

That song is from SC4....Not sure which...but i remember it from terraforming if that helps....

None the less this game is a nice spinoff...they got one company....if EA was smart they'd talk to all the fast food companies...or even airline companies...what about building a city thats an airlines hub or even a fat city....no southwest buildboards or American Airlines...ehhh maybe I'm crazy.,...

that game might be fun for kids, but not many if any SC4 fans...

Well, I looked up what the music is from. It is from SimCity 4, and it is called "SC4mo2", and it is in your Mayor Music category. Getting back on track, I am peeved that EA has done this. This in game advertising (as PCGamer says) is why BF2142 didn't win game of the year.

wow, there is a BP ad in the "clean" timeframe of the video.... laughable.. this is why I refuse to purchase anything else from EA. They are so money hungry that they place all these ads yet don't lower the cost of games until it is at least a year old.

sorry for the rant, they have just bugged me for some time now

I am looking forward to Cities Unlimited though 9.gif

What EA has done inside it is just product placement. It's nothing new. BF, if I may add, is just blatant advertisement. The product placement here is relatively tasteful. It's not overly blatant. What's being offered is within character of the game. One might view it adds authenticity to a city, making it more life like because there are real companies in it.

Looking even in the STEX itself I see buildings like McDonalds, Burger King, etc.

Cities Unlimited has Bellagio Hotel and Casino, as a reminder ;-)

That actually looked like one of the best previews I've seen yet. The corperate propaganda kind of ruined it for me though...

Also at simcity.com there's a european city video... oh God,  that video makes me kinda wanna play it..NO! I must snap out of it!!

Maybe I should give the game a chance.

Also, the American city video has sc3000 jazz music in it... I loved the soundtrack to sc3000....

Maybe I'm crazy or they just faked it, but did I see a tree lined avenue in the european city video?

I saw it (If it really is there) first half way through the clip, and again at the 3/4 mark.

But to the subject, I could swear in the Capitalistic city video there was the Bellsouth Building in the middle and the LabCorp logo on a building at the beginning of the birds eye veiw... so maybe BPs presence isn't the only one...

And from that vid i'd say it looks like a 1900's AMERICAN STEREOTYPE European city, it still looks pretty bad , everything is grid patterned the way the models look still makes it look like a child's game...and it looks like it has been forzen in time forever since the 1950's...

It appears to me to be two normal roads layed side to side to form a pseudo-avenue like you could do in SC3K, but I'm not certain.
